A really cosy and heart warming read. Set in the beautiful Cotswolds, this is the 2nd book in the Woodville series, however i read this one as a stand alone. You are quickly drawn in to the cottage locations and the authors descriptions of the gardens is just perfect and you can really imagine you are there.

The story follows 2 main characters Morgan and Nate, as they both process and comes to terms with difficult times in their lives. Morgans plans to move to Scotland were put on hold when she needed to move to Woodville to care for her Mother. Following her mothers death, Morgan is left to sort through Forget Me Not Cottage and an enormous amount stock from her mothers market stall. The care she is given by the village community has Morgan questioning her long term plans and future.

Nate – hasn't really got over his mothers death and carries a lot of guilt, with his father now living on his own, Nate returns to the village with his fathers help pushes himself to enter his wood workshop, that he left behind exactly as it was when he was last in it. Memories he doesn't want to recall.

Morgan decides to reopen her Mothers market stall temporarily to sell the remaining stock, but is shocked when she finds herself sharing a stall with Nate as he empties his workshop and his wooden creations. The initial anger Morgan feels softens as she and Nate begin a friendship. Its lovely to see the romance develop throughout the story and how the wider village community wrap themselves around them to support them both.
Some quite emotional reading alongside some really funny moments. I could have read in one sitting and hope there will be more books to follow.

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me.

A touching tale of recognizing life's true treasures. The way the community supports Morgan and Nate, guiding them to clarity, is heartwarming. The market scenes and gatherings at Sebastian's stood out notably. This poignant read takes us through an unhurried romantic journey between the pair, marked by both melancholic and joyful memories. The story's additional characters enrich the narrative, their unwavering kindness resonating not only with Morgan and Nate but with the reader as well.

Morgan returns to her childhood home in the village of Little Woodville - another place I would like to go and live - I do love Helens villages. She is engaged and was du4e to move to Edinburgh and to put it on hold to look after her mother, who is ill. After she died Morgans sister goes to help sort the cottage. She also needs to sell her mothers stock of vintage items on the village market

Meanwhile Nate has also returned to the village for a month to make sure his father is ok. He to has a lot of wooden items that he needs to sell at the market.

Its a lovely village, with plenty of wonderful characters and pets.

I can recommend this book and look forward to visiting this village again.

Morgan returns to forget me not cottage to care for her mother. Morgan and her boyfriend Ronan find themselves putting their plans on hold after her mom dies. She then has the task of clearing her moms house and decides to continue to run her mothers market stall until the house is sold.

Nate returns to Little Woodville as he need to clear his wood workshop filled with his creations. He secures a stall at the same market as Morgan (an old girlfriend). They discover they have been given the same market stall and decide to share the space, this helps them both to overcome their personal battles and move forward with their lives. Will they find something they didn’t come to the little town for ….love?

Another great read for the summer, The cover drawn me in but alos the title and the author as Helen always writes amazing books. I loved how the setting for this cttage was not that in Cornwall but my favourite location of the Cotswolds. This is part of a series but it can be read as a stand alone....
Morgan has to care for her dying mother and then she has to fix the house up ready to sell it so she can join her finace in Scotland where they plan to live. But can Morgan leave this beautiful cottage?

I absolutely loved this book. Couldn’t put it down!
Morgan came back to Forget-Me-Not cottage to look after her mum. When her mum suddenly dies, she is in turmoil what to do. Her fiancé has moved to Edinburgh and all the big plans are now in question!

Nate returns to stay with his dad for a while and plans to sort out his workshop which he has been unable to enter since his mum passed away.

I didn't realise that Summer at Forget-Me-not Cottage is the second book in a series as it works well as a stand-alone book. That said, I will definitely be going back to read Book 1 to learn more about the wonderful characters of Little Woodville. A lovely warm, and romantic read.

Having not long found this author I hadn’t realised this book was a sequel to the previous one in the series. Christmas at snowdrop cottage although that didn’t stop me reading this one as it was fab to read as a standalone.

This was a beautiful poignant story of finding yourself and what is important in your life and of love loss and grief and how with the help of loved ones life can begin again.

The book had relatable and likeable characters set against the back drop of beautiful scenery and a real community feel.

I can’t wait for the next instalment of this series.

Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage is book two in the 'Little Woodville Cottage' series, the first being Christmas at Snowdrop Cottage. I will definitely be reading Christmas at Snowdrop Cottage come winter, so I can see the before to the Sebastian and Belle I've met in this book!

Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage opens on Morgan putting her plans on hold to go look after her mother in the small town of Little Woodville. When her mother dies, Morgan takes comfort in her hometown, where as Nate avoided Little Woodville at all cost after his own personal loss. But, when Nate comes home to clear out his workshop, him and Morgan collide. Will coming together help them both heal from their own personal traumas?

One thing you've got to respect about Helen Rolfe is that she knows how to write characters. Whether human or animal, I loved every character in this book. Well, except for Ronan, but I think that was intentional. The older people in this book especially were all really amusing and felt real to me, like I could fully imagine my nan living in Little Woodville and meshing well with them all.

Although I did enjoy Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage, I also recognise that it's quite basic in terms of storyline and was very predictable because of that. Therefore, this book will be good for you if you like a soft romance, but if you're looking for something with a little more depth I'd suggest you skip this one.

Morgan and Nate had both come back to Little Woodville to look after their ailing parents Once they have lost their mums, they have life decisions to make, Nate wants to be closer to his dad and Morgan has doubts about moving to Scotland after falling in love with the village and the people.
It has a lovely cosy feel about it- a lovely setting, wonderfully warm characters and a romance brewing.. I look forward to reading more about the people of Little Woodville- I feel as though I've made new friends!

I enjoyed reading this book, filled with believable, fully-formed characters, set in an idyllic sounding village where a touching storyline plays out between the two main characters.
An enjoyable read filled with friendship, family and romance.

Morgan has left her fiancée to go to Edinburgh to start his new job on his own to go and help her mum who has become ill. Sadly her mum has dies and it’s now Morgan’s job to try and sort her mums belongings out ready to sell Forget me not cottage as her sister lives some way away on a farm with her husband and children. The longer she is in the village the more she questions does she really want to leave ?
Nate is a plumber who has his own business in Wales but used to live woodwork in his spare time and is worried about his dad being alone after his mum had passed away a few years previously. On a recent visit to the village he bumps into Morgan and finds he would like to get to know her better but can’t decide what he should do next, go back to Wales or give everything up and come home ?
A great read

This was lovely and moving. I liked the way the plot unfolded, that the main character came to realise what she really wanted. It was memorable.

I loved this wonderful cosy read, such lovely escapism and with a beautiful slow burn romance. I am completely biased because I love a book by Helen Rolfe, she hasn’t written a book that I’ve read that I haven’t enjoyed. I am delighted when I get to read a new book in one of her gorgeous communities and towns/villages.

Speaking of these, Little Woodville is exactly the kind of place I want to live whenever I read Helen’s wonderful descriptions, the great characters make you feel like your returning to visit family or friends (and you want to join them) Morgan and Nate are a great set of starring characters, relatable, going through difficult times, it’s so beautiful to watch the support and comfort provided by friends and Little Woodville.

A slow burn romance is my favourite anf this one is just so well done, Morgan and Nate have so much they need to move beyond and to heal, it’s just emotional watching their developing relationship and healing (both individually and jointly) The whole story is just such an E motional read , tears a plenty but both sadness and joy , from loss, grief, to growth and new opportunities.

This is a beautiful story full of friendship, that wonderful community (can’t mention them enough read and you will understand) so much love and family. If you’re looking for a summer read, some escapism, something to make you feel, or just a really good book, I definitely recommend Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage

Nate is back to visit his father but is having struggles of his own.

These two characters will come together and may just be the support that one another needs.

This was a lovely book, with both characters exploring their past and personal issues. I loved the description of the locations which added to this narrative. I adore this author and their writing style pulling the reader in and getting lost in a wonderful read.
