I had heard good things about this book so when the opportunity to listen to the audiobook popped up, I jumped at the chance and I'm so happy I did. This adorable romantic comedy was such an amazing listen while I organized my house today. I laughed so much and had a smile from ear to ear for basically the entire book, it was just so cute.

Pippa Jayne did a fantastic job of bringing Penny to life on the audiobook. I thought it was really well done and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her for a few hours.

I really loved watching the progression of their relationship. It moved so quickly, but so smoothly, from enemies to friends to love. Watching Jace fall for Penny was such a joy. This story is only from Penny's POV, but you can watch him fall further and further for her and she's just along for the ride trying not to get attached.

The third act almost had me fighting, but it all turned out okay and led to a super sweet epilogue too. His family was so amazing and I would have loved a bonus epilogue of them at the family reunion in another year, I really couldn't get enough of them all. I already want to listen again!

I didn’t know what to expect when I was going into this book. It’s a boss, billionaire, fake dating, romance. And usually those are not my buzz words. But you know what is? One bed trope. Yes please!
This was sweet. The hero offers the heroine $50,000 to help him at his family’s get together at their cottage. She’s almost coerced into it before he offers the money. His family is fun. There’s another reason why he wants to fake date that’s not just to get his mother off his back.
The brothers have an interesting dynamic. The grandma is funny in a fiery way.
And the heroine’s mom is not bad either. I think the side characters really stole the story for me.
As for the hero and heroine. This was an average storyline with an average romance.
All in all if any of the words are your buzz words I would give this a read

For nEver by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a delightful romantic comedy filled with humor and swoon-worthy moments.

Penny's temporary summer job takes an unexpected turn when her boss, Jace Ellis, asks her to pretend to be his fiancé for a week. Initially driven by greed, Penny agrees, knowing the money will greatly benefit her and her mother. Little did she know that the charade would involve sharing a bed, pretending to like each other, and attending Jace's lively family reunion.

The chemistry between Penny and Jace is palpable, and their banter adds a delightful touch to the story. As the fake engagement progresses, Penny finds herself falling for Jace, despite her friend Christy's warnings. The interactions with the side characters, especially Jace's snarky grandma Janet, his endearing mom, and aunt, add depth to the narrative and enhance the overall enjoyment.

The book's fast-paced nature and engaging plot kept me hooked from start to finish. The author's writing style and the seamless narration in the audiobook version added to the entertainment value. The funny moments were skillfully portrayed by the narrator, including the scene where Penny gets hit on the nose, creating an unforgettable experience. While I thoroughly enjoyed For nEver, I wished for a dual point of view to get a deeper insight into Jace's broody character. Nevertheless, the book still captivated me, and I couldn't help but fall in love with the endearing couple and their journey.

In summary, For nEver is a hilarious and swoon-worthy romantic comedy that will keep readers entertained throughout. It is perfect for fans of fake engagements, and forced proximity tropes. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a light-hearted and enjoyable read/listen.

I received an audiobook ARC of For nEver from Netgalley & Dreamscape Media in exchange for an honest review.

Things I loved about this book:
1) fake dating: you can literally never disappoint me with that banging trope!! Here, we have Jace and Penny. Jace is the boss, and Penny is covering for a friend and filling the role of secretary for Jace. He needs to go home, and doesn’t want his mom asking him a million questions about his love life, so Penny to the rescue, with a little monetary incentive.
2) cranky old ladies!! Okay 😂 if you’re going to have a side character that hates on our FMC, it best be the granny of our MMC!! This woman was so mean, so outspoken, and outrageously critical of everything Penny did or said. She was always nitpicking at the relationship between Jace and Penny, and added tension to the story, making us believe she was on the verge of figuring the farce out!
3) an absolutely beloved cast of side characters. Jaces family was perfect, and I loved them immensely. Penny immediately bonds with Jaces mom and dad, who seem to have fallen in love with her in kind. They were so much fun to get to know, and easily one of the most loveable families I’ve come across in a long time.
4) games! Not the kind between characters, of the ridiculous head variety, but the kind you enjoy at summer camp!! What a new way to explore these characters, by forcing them into this competitive family situation!! Capture the flag and rescue the children were my favourite 😂
The chemistry between Penny and Jace initially felt a bit rushed, but in the end, it was exactly the right speed, and I loved it. A very enjoyable story for sure!

This was my first time with this author. This was a cute book with a couple of my favorite tropes: one bed, fake finance, boss/employee; I had a hard time with Jace’s personality change. He seemed to be a completely different person at the beginning with little explanation how or why he changed. It did feel pretty insta-lovey, which is not my favorite, but overall I had a good time and flew through it. I enjoyed the narration too.

A Quickie Read

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC (audiobook version)…in which I am to provide an honest review.

Such a cute and quick “read”…devoured it in one day! Hands down, I was a sucker for the title and cover. Started off slowly and thankfully picked up quickly.

The perks:
Funny bantering...found myself randomly chuckling as I audiobooked at work
Loved the side characters (minus the best friend)
Great spicy scenes
Narrator was really good and depicted characters well

The so-so’s:
Female character was a little dense at times
Dual POV would have been perfect
Was the storyline a little predictable? Yes. Did I mind? Nah, not one bit.

This audiobook hooked me from the beginning. There is something about the Mr. Grumpy trope that I love.

I would have loved to have had a little glimpse of Jace’s POV, but overall I feel as thought the main characters were developed well.

This was such a good time!! Short and sweet, super quick audio listen and a fluffy (slightly spicy) read🫶🏻 this book is already out, but I got an audiobook ARC through NetGalley, the audio comes out on the 8th!

Penny is a teacher and wants to pick up a summer job to take her mom on a big trip. Her bestie is going on maternity leave and offers up her receptionist job at a tech company so she takes it. The thing is, her new boss is a grumpy asshole who talks her into being his fake fiancé for a week.

I honestly had the best time reading this. The audiobook is super short, fast paced with short chapters (we love that) and although it’s in just a single perspective, I really loved Penny’s POV. Jace is a tattooed asshole but his sweet side comes out and I loved him so much. Their banter was top tier and they had me cracking up listening to them bicker. All of the side characters were so fun, especially his grandma 😂 this book was very low angst and overall just an easy read but there’s some miscommunication right at the tail end that I could’ve lived without.

Tropes:
Fake engagement
Workplace
Only one bed
Grumpy/sunshine
Forced proximity

Aurora Rose Reynold’s talent for penning sexy and fun stories with lovable characters, shines through again with “For nEver”. There are all of the tropes in this short book: fake dating, only one bed, etc. The perfect sexy romance.

After only a few days on the job Penny finds herself “kidnapped” by her boss to be his fake fiancé for a week at a family retreat. He makes a lucrative offer that she just can’t refuse. But what happens when the lines between never and forever start to blur?

As a romance lover there are so many things to love about this book. The only slight complaint I have is that it was that it ended too quickly! I wanted more of Penny and Jace. It definitely could have been a longer novel, but I still loved every moment.

The audiobook was so well done! The narrator did an excellent job at making the poignant moments and the steamy moments both hit just right. I would definitely suggest the audio for this book.

Overall, this is another feather in the cap for Aurora Rose Reynolds. “For nEver” was sexy, sweet and tropey. I will be telling all of my romance lovers about this one.

Penny is helping her BFF by filling in at work while she’s out on maternity leave. Why? Because her boss, Jace, just fired the temp. He ropes Penny into pretending she’s his fiancé at his family reunion. It’s the first time he’s back at his hometown since his twin married his ex-girlfriend. He compensates by offering to pay her. 50k. She agrees since the extra money will help her cover her mother’s medical expenses. Their relationship turns from professional to fake dating to falling in love.

This was a lovely read, it was funny and quirky. The book was well written and the narration was great. I highly recommend this book.

Rating: 4.5/5.0 Stars

For nEver is a cute, fun listen that is full of sweetness and not too heavy on the sex. Honestly, form the cover, it's nothing like what I was expecting. Jace and Penny's story was endearing, and though the conflict in the plot wasn't gut wrenching like other romance novels that I've listened to, it was a nice way to spend a few days listening to and learning about their story. The other cast of characters, mainly Jayce's family members, were all unique and interesting. I'd happily recommend this book for anyone looking for an easy listen with an HEA. Also, Pippa Jayne's narration was great and lent to bringing Penny's voice to life.

Thanks to the author, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the chance to listen to and review this ARC!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape audio for this audio ARC.

Pippa Jayne did a great job narrating this novel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the story and charmed by the tiny human characters and the sassy older grandma. The fake dating trope tends to be over done. I was won over immediately by the storyline and banter and it was genuinely fun.

This was a cute, HEA BOOK. It was a nice light hearted read. I enjoyed listening to it with audio. Saying that I did not love the narrators voice she sounded a little more mature than what I was picturing for Penny but that did not make m dislike the book/story.

I would have like to read more about the couple after they got back home and their life together I felt that was quick paced but overall a good book.

Cute little romance! I went into this story somewhat blindly, which is what I prefer.. and I was not disappointed. I honestly only have 2 critiques, and they’re minor preferences of my own and not anything that would effect my rating. The pacing towards the end was a little too fast, I just wanted more, so much more. The other critique is that it was single pov, and I feel like I missed so much of the story by not knowing or hearing the inner thoughts of Jace. Other than that this story had it all, witty banter, moments of comedy, meeting his lovely family and the perfect amount of spice!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscapes for this audio arc, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am only just trying my hand at listening to audio books, and I can say that I really enjoyed listening to this book in my spare time whilst doing something else where I could not physically sit and read.

I enjoyed this book. The characters certainly has chemistry and Penny and Jace certainly had me laughing out loud and swept up in their story as they both fell head over heels at his family BBQ.

After this I may well pick up a few more audio books.

I had so much fun reading For nEver by Aurora Rose Reynolds. It was one of those books that I didn't want to put down. Jace and Penny don’t have the best first meeting. She is working as a fill in assistant for him to help her friend who is on maternity leave, but he needs her for something else. He needs a fake fiancé.

I love fake dating books. There is just something about them. Watching two people go from not really knowing each other all that well to falling hard. I absolutely loved all the scenes with Jace’s family. This book gave me the same feels as some of the earlier ARR books that I was obsessed with and the audio was great!

A cheesy fake dating, grumpy/sunshine romance. I really enjoyed this one overall, the only thing I wasn't too keen on was the ridiculous amount of accidents the FMC had and how oblivious she was towards the end after they left the fake dating setup that the MMC clearly wanted them to continue seeing each other.

I loved this book. I do love a fake dating/fake engagement trope and this was the best way. It reminded me of The proposal a little bit but smexier. The characters were likeable and mature which makes the book stand out for me.

Thank you Netgalley for the copy!

I believe this is my first audiobook review for this author Aurora Rose Reynolds

I do love a work place romance/ fake relationship/ forced one bed.

Penny helping her friend being a temporary assistant so that her boss Jase wouldn’t have to do interviews to find a temp. Replacement.

Anyways, one day Jase is needing a fake fiancé to attend a wedding. So he calls Penny asking her to help him out. This book is perfect for anybody who wants a short, smutty book to get them through till their next book. I will say it took a while for this book to really get into it and the spicy scenes didn’t come until maybe like 60% of the way through. Some of the dialect was also a little cringe. He but nothing that I couldn’t get past. I really was not the biggest fan of him calling her cupcake and princess, seeing as they were both adults. Overall it was enjoyable, and the narrator was good, so I would definitely read more from this author

Penny is a teacher at an elementary school. Her mother is spending a few months with her aunt and she is looking for a summer job. She gets a job as a secretary for a gaming company, while her friend is on maternity leave. What she didn't expect is for her boss to be so rude, or so hot. And before she knows it, she is on his private plane and he is asking her to pretend to be engaged to him for a week.

Jace is the owner of a gaming company. He is insanely busy, always working. He hasn't been to a family reunion in years. So this year he hired someone to pretend to be his fiance, to get his family off his back. When she cancels last minute, he asks his new assistant to fill the role.

It was hard to pretend at first, but all too soon it all starts to feel very real. They fall hard for each other.

It's steamy, and romantic, with a touch of instant love, family time and a whole lot of fun. :)

I listened to the story, the narrator was awesome. :)
