Penny agrees to work for Jace while his assistant is on maternity leave but she had no idea that it would turn into a fake engagement. What starts as her helping Jace turns into real feelings and a connection that neither of them expected. The spice was insane between these two characters but the names of princess and cupcake give me the ick. Other than that, the communication was not there between the two main characters who never had a conversation about moving from fake dating to actual dating until Penny thought Jace was going to dump her. Overall, it was a good, spicy, easy read!

i was actually sad when i finished this one. it made me laugh, smile, and absolutely fall in love with the characters. if you need a good feel good story this is the one !

I was so excited to start this one and then could not stop and finished it in an evening. I freaking loved it!

Aurora Rose Reynolds can write a story for sure. It just had the perfect level of everything, even the 75% fall apart was short and sweet and perfect.

Penny is a teacher who is stepping in on summer break to cover her friend's job as a secretary while she is on maternity leave. Penny is saving to take her recently finished chemo mother on a nice vacation. Day one on the new job and Penny's new boss, Jace, is a d*ck. Not long after day one he calls her on a Saturday morning and demands she show up to the airport with her bags packed. It isn't until she is on the plane when she finds out she's now his fake fiancé and they're going to spend an entire week with his HUGE family. It helps that he has offered to pay her $50k for her troubles but when they show up and his family is wonderful and there is only one bed and they have to ACT like a couple...things get tricky for Penny's heart.

This is my first Aurora Rose Reynolds book and I thought it was just an okay read - a little cliche at times but just okay.

In this book we meet Penny our heroine. She does a friend a favor in an attempt to earn some money so that she can take her mother on her dream trip. What she thought would be a temp fill in job for her friend turns into more - a fake relationship with her new boss for a week for his family.

Jace, our hero, finds himself in need of a fake girlfriend for his family reunion so that he could close a business deal. What he does not expect is to actually start to have feelings for Penny.

So this was just an okay read for me. The hero starts out predictably rude and demanding to only do a 360 and be the caring, loving boyfriend by the end of the book but not once telling Penny how he feels until the very end of the book. The story moved along well but the forced proximity, the hero's reaction to Penny when he started to develop feelings and then how the book ended was a bit predictable for me.

If you are looking for a quick read and none of the above bothers you then this is the book for you. If you can't get over those hurdles then keep looking.
