A recording artist who is also a CIA contractor sounded like such a stretch to me that I couldn’t wait to see how the author would pull it off. It makes for a degree of incredibility which some people may not be comfortable with it but the author builds a world and a story which work. There is a lot of fascinating detail as they create characters and relationships, leading the reader down a tricky trail as the mystery is pursued.

The beginning of this book had me questioning what I was reading, not my normal book style. However, I was determined to give it a try. I found that there were many characters and loads of information that was given. I was a little overwhelmed by all of it. Not only that, but the amount of details, such as French streets, businesses, etc, got to be overwhelming. I really wanted to like this book because it seems like a good story, but the amount of details and characters made it difficult for me.
