As always a lovely storyline by Sue Roberts. Loved the setting, the friendships and the relationships that formed. An easy summery read

This was such a cosy, lovely read! The descriptions of the setting were perfect, and it really did set the scene so well for Greece! I'm a sucker for a good romance read, and this was a really heart-warming one. A little slow in a couple of the chapters, but I would definitely recommend this.

A nice, relaxing and light read that takes you on a journey through Greece.
Slow burn romances, family and friendships keep the story flowing.
If you are an animal lover, you will certainly enjoy reading this book.
Perfect reading for the beach or by the pool.

Despite sharing a name with this author, this is the first book of hers that I've read. I thought it was a basic romance novel but there was one important addition to the story - the descriptions of the Greek Island of Crete. After reading all of the beautiful descriptions of the land, I feel like I've been on a mental vacation.

Tania has broken up with her boyfriend and is unhappy with her dead-end job. Her parents have moved to Spain and she is basically alone. Her aunt Judith offers her a chance to travel to Crete to help out with the animal rescue site while Judith is recovering from knee surgery. Growing up she spent a lot of time with her aunt and now that her life has become unfulfilling, she decides that a trip to Crete is just what she needs.
She soon meets Nicos who lives across the road but appears to be grumpy and unfriendly. That's ok with her because she's busy with the rest of the volunteers taking care of the dogs and mules currently housed at the rescue facility. Even though they all work hard, there seems to be plenty of time for swimming and going to the small nearby city and going to restaurants and bars there. When Nicos volunteers to help her aunt and she gets to know him better, her interest in him builds even though she isn't sure at first what he thinks of her. As her time in Greece dwindles away, she has to decide what to do with the rest of her life and whether Nicos will be part of her past or part of her future.

I enjoyed meeting the other volunteers and the budding romance between Tania and Nicos. I thought that parts of the book were pretty slow and that the book could have been a bit shorter. Despite that, the descriptions of the beautiful views of the turquoise harbor and white beaches from the little village and descriptions of the views from other parts of the island made this is a special book.

A summer romance is in the air for Tania, but she is,wary to take the plunge. A lot is going on at the animal sanctuary in beautiful Crete and her aunt is ill. This is a lovely book to read and enjoy.
IA heartwarming love story under the sun .

This is my first read by author Sue Roberts and I will be reading more of her novels. I am normally an avid reader of thrillers but the front cover of this novel caught my eye and when I read the blurb I really wanted to try reading this book.

In There's Something about Greece, we meet main character Tania, recently split from a long term partner, Tania is left feeling quite stung from her last relationship and what I would describe as a bit of a cross roads.

Tania's relative lives in Greece running an animal sanctuary and Tania decides to go and help her and have a break from her "usual, mundane" life.

Whilst working in the glorious back drop of Greece she meets Nicos who wants to help with the animals. Tania's life in Greece is then rocked by Nicos and how she feels towards him.

I did find this novel quite slow in some points, but I really enjoyed the characters and the descriptive writing about Greece. This novel is a perfect holiday read.

Thanks to Sue Roberts, Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

When Tania finds out her boyfriend has been cheating and her job is less than fulfilling she decides she needs to make a change. Her aunt who Judith who she’s always been super close to runs an animal rescue in Greece and is in need of knee replacement surgery but has been putting it off because she needs help while she recovers. So Tania decides now is the time to go visit aunt Judith so she can have her surgery and Tania can clear her head and soak up some sun and beauty in gorgeous Greece while working amongst the dogs and donkeys of the sanctuary. She enjoys it so much that she begins to question her life goals whether or not she wants to go back home, especially after she meets Nicos, the handsome neighbor.
The setting was gorgeous and I loved the animals! It maybe could have been a little shorter or paced a little faster, but other than that, it was lovely.

This is my first book by Roberts and I found this read to be a good palette cleanser. I had just finished a book that was heavy and left me with choking back tears. This book drew me in to Tania's life and how she was ready to redefine it by moving back to Greece to help her aunt.

The biggest things about this book that hindered it for me was that I found the story to move very slowly while not much happened with the plot and the dialogue was robotic. These two things made it hard for me to move through the story easily.

Overall, perfect for fans of easy beach reads, character driven story, limited plot, eccentric characters

As any of Sue's books they are simply wonderful and makes you really feel like you are there.
It really makes me want to pack my bags and get on a plane to Greece.

This is truly wondeful read with the addition of an animal rescue centre it's just what I needed to escape this dull weather.

Thank you Bookouture for the opportunity to review this wonderful book

What a gorgeous book! I absolutely love Bookouture titles they never disappoint! Every time Ava Sue Roberts book comes up on my feed to request it’s not even a question to submit an application for review. I love vacation romances especially if they are Sue Roberts . You feel as though you are right there with her. This particular book takes place in Greece ….swoon! We meet Tania who gets invited to spend the summer with her Aunt in the Isle of Crete! Don’t we all wish we had an Aunt who invited us to Greece!? ;)
I was getting Mamma Mia vibes right away and I am so here for it! Since her last vacation romance didn’t turn out so well, Tania is a bit hesitant, but hello Greece!
Unfortunately things take a turn when Tania realizes her Aunt is unwell. Distracted by another dream vacation turned nightmare she bumps into Greek God Nicos.
Nicos at first comes off as a bit grump, but we love those grumpy guys turned sensitive don’t we?
He comes to her Aunts aide and the too begin to connect. And well you know how it goes!!!
I was so excited to see how things panned out for Tania! He offers her to stay in Greece and while I don’t want to give anything away you the reader will not be disappointed!
The story is charming, gorgeous, funny, and heartfelt. All the things one looks for in a good read.
Sue Roberts crushes it again! I felt like I was in Greece even though I have yet to visit! I really must do that! ;)
I had so many favorite parts that I highlighted and while I don’t want to give anything away a few pages had me in stitches of laughter!
Thank you, Bookouture for the amazing opportunity as always and please know how my h I appreciate your books! I love acquiring, sharing, and promoting them. I look forward to hopefully many more opportunities in the future to share them. And Sue Roberts I will be awaiting your next read very excitedly to see what adventure you take us on next!

There's Something About Greece is an enjoyable afternoon read. I loved the setting of the dog reserve in Crete and the interaction between the volunteers. The main character and the love story was underdeveloped, I wanted more depth in their interaction and romance. I wasn't as invested in the characters as Take a Chance on Greece, which I loved. Still a sweet way to spend an afternoon in Greece. :)
Thanks #NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

“There’s Something About Greece,” by Sue Roberts, takes place on the island of Crete. Ms. Roberts paints a beautiful portrait of this island, so the descriptive sections felt very real. The characters are also very believable, which was also enjoyable. My one complaint is that this book moved very slowly and, honestly, not a lot happens. Tania quits her job in the UK, she has adventures and meets people at her Aunt’s animal rescue farm, Tania falls in love, and there are some interesting animal stories. The romance is rated G (I’m praising that right now) but there’s not a lot that actually happens. I guess overall I’d rate this book as a sweet story - maybe even a nice little beach read.

A beautiful story with descriptions so vivid you'll be desperate to go to Greece after reading this. I found TSAG to be a perfect summer read, with a cute romance and Tania who finds herself throughout the book. This has fun friendship and romance and is a super feel good book.

This is my first exposure to this author who has written many books featuring Greece. Her ability to paint highly evocative word pictures of the scenery and residents of Crete made this novel a delight to read.

After finding out her boyfriend of two years has been cheating on her and that her beloved aunt requires surgery, Tania decides to submit her resignation to a dead-end job and travel to the island of Crete. She is familiar with the island having spent many summers there at the rescue sanctuary for dogs (and donkeys!). As she assists her aunt and the other volunteers in caring for the animals, she begins to question her life goals, forges some life-long friendships, and develops feelings for a handsome neighbor.

I found all the characters interesting, believable, and likeable. The setting of the animal sanctuary and its noble mission set the book apart from the unusual summer fare. My one problem was that the story crawled along at a snail’s pace.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This review is being posted immediately to my GoodReads account and will be posted on Amazon upon publication.

There's Something about Greece by Sue Roberts will whisk you away to the sun-soaked island of Crete for a bit of breezy escapism and a touch of romance.

Tania is in need of a change from her stagnant life in the UK, so when her aunt suggests that she could use a hand at her island sanctuary for dogs and donkeys it seems the perfect solution, and Tania sets off on her very own Greek adventure. What she doesn't expect is handsome and charming neighbour Nicos, who seems only too happy to help out at her aunt's place whenever he is needed. As the weeks pass and her feelings for Nico grow, Tania must decide if she is ready to make the charming island of Crete her forever home.

This is a light, feel-good tale that will have you rooting for this varied cast of immensely likeable characters, and the sun and sea of Crete serve as the perfect setting for your next beachy read.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.
