Full of good questions for a sibling to ask about a new addition to their family, I found the rhyming a bit shonky and forced, with lines like "When baby was in Mama's tummy/Questions I had many!".. that's just all over the place.

The illustrations are quite cute.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I would like babies to be born in clean suits with top hats. That was the picture my brain gave me and I love it.

This is a fun book with fun questions that the child and parent can answer together.

The only negative I fond was more for buying appeal then part of the story. I would use sibling instead of brother as to not lose sales over wording. The book is universal and would make a great guide for any sex.

Can Babies Fart? is such a fun book for soon-to-be big brothers or sisters. The questions asked are some that would definitely come from the mouths of babes. It reminded me of when my own babies were becoming big brothers and sisters and wanted to know more about what babies do.

My daughter and I read this together. She laughed so hard at the questions that were being asked. Being that she is 8 and has 2 younger step sisters she knows that the baby isn’t able to do all that so it seemed silly to her, however I think this book would be fantastic for any child becoming a big sibling for the first time. So many of the questions asked my kids asked as our family grew.

Dani’s Review (age 8) i liked everything about this book. I found it funny imaging the baby doing big kid stuff like using the potty. Rating: 👍🏻

The book also emphasizes the importance of independent play, allowing older children to find joy in entertaining themselves. With a heartwarming ending showcasing the blossoming friendship between the brothers, this book is the perfect resource to help children adapt to the changes and excitement of welcoming a new family member.

Raise your hand if you've ever asked a question as silly as this. This book really connects the reader to the concept of curiosity. We all should know that children are very curious and this book helps capture that and celebrate that.

Can Babies Fart? was a really fun and cute book about welcoming a younger sibling. I liked the various rhymes and the big bold lettering.

Maybe reword the Loo- American children won't know that word. Also maybe just make it a big brother OR sister, so you can market it to more people.

Review to come May 26th on blog/goodreads.

I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

Haha, when I saw this book on Netgalley I knew this was one book I needed to read. Also that cover with the baby and the little cloud of death behind it. I was so curious about what other questions the little kid would have.

In this book a little boy is expecting a baby brother and he has all sorts of questions! From Does a baby know how to blow his nose to if he will come wearing clothes. And then the real fun starts as the baby brother is born! At first the little brother isn't having much fun, he just sees his parents doing a lot of work... but then the little one grows and we see that our big brother is having fun making music, playing with his brother, and more! It was very sweet and adorable and I am happy that it all worked out so positive for this boy. That he has found a friend. Haha, though I frankly wonder how long that will take. At one point his little brother will be able to walk. At one point the little one will be able to say no or yes or even take toys.

The art was quite cute!

I liked that at the end we get extra questions and lists. That was a fun addition, though I would have liked to see the pictures featured there be the same as in the story. Now they were just images from the internet, some I recognised or at least their styles.

I loved the dedication at the front, I don't always read those, but did now and haha, I wonder what other questions the author's kids had while waiting for the newest addition to the family.

While I did like the book, I would have kinda liked to see an answer somewhere, a parent saying yes or no, or maybe something else. We get plenty of questions with some hilarious illustrations to follow (like that he was lying on the field while his brother played soccer), but no answers!

Also I am sorry, but at the end we get a question on how one feels about being a big brother, but that sad face is not sad at all. It is more like a mash up between sad and very determined. And why is there an anger X on the face of the emoji with the Not Sure label? It was confusing to say the least.

All in all, I did enjoy it, but I feel it could just be a bit more! 3 stars because it was cute, the questions were funny, the art was adorable, and I liked the extras.

This is a simple book about the joys and questions that come with a newborn sibling. The pictures and text are clear and bright and cheerful and what more could you ask for?

A really cute and positive portrayal of having a new baby! Fun and interactive with questions at the end. The suggestions of what the baby could do are funny and the story is great for a quick read. I loved that it specifically called out the book being for big brothers. I know my son used to love books that were specific to his role in the family!

This book had my son laughing out loud! He recently became a big brother and this book was an excellent read for him. I was worried with it being a digital copy he wouldn’t be interested but he asked to hear it read to him 3 different times! The questions at the end of the book and spots to personalize it are so cute if you have a hard copy of the book. Would be a great baby shower gift for a toddler or young child becoming a big brother! Definitely will recommend to others in the future.

I did not like this book. I thought that the rhymes style did not really make sense, or flow coherently. I liked that Can Babies Fart had a Q&A at the end of the book, but overall I found this tale lacking
