Evelyn Alden has built a quiet life of simple pleasures on a tiny island frozen in time, her family, the center of her universe. Her husband’s sudden, tragic death leaves Eve and their children heartbroken and adrift. Mourning the loss of the life she once knew, Eve soon embarks on a journey of discovery, facing demons from her past, haunted but resolute. Along this new path, Eve realizes she is stronger than she believed... more than ‘a good wife.’ A story of heartache and joy, faith and renewal, each day a reminder that life is fleeting but love lives on.
A well written story. The characters were well developed and the storyline was perfectly executed. Cannot wait to read more from Jayne Conway.

What a nice book. Love and lost and how you move on. I felt it hard to read at times because it hit home for me but I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Love, forgiveness, and starting over are all parts of the storyline. It was a sweet novel.

Thank you NetGalley for a chance to read A Good Wife by Jayne Conway. I enjoyed the author’s writing style, but her characters fell flat for me. Eve, the main character was just flat out annoying. Nora’s character was underdeveloped and Gus was a goody goody. The only ones I liked were Eve’s mother and step father. With that said, it was an easy beach read. So if you’re looking for something light, this could be for you.
