Totally fell in love with with this book.... The sexual tension between Mav and Bailey are crazy hot.. The intense relationship makes it seem like they were together longer... Yes would totally recommend this book to anyone.... |

This was such a great book! I was hooked in the first chapter. I absolutely adore Maverick and Bridget together. I can't wait for the next one! Thank you netgalley for the arc |

Manhunt was a very quick and fast romance read, where a meet-awkward turns out to be the main characters boss. After attraction at first sight we follow whether or not they give in to it and what miscommunications will happen along the way. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review. |

This was a fun book. Anyone who grew up in the 80's fully remembers when Samantha Baker accidentally dropped her completed sex quiz into the hands of her crush. And the hilarity and rom-com magic that ensued as a result. Manhunt is a play on that Sixteen Candles mishap with tons more spice. Vanessa Vale is an author who wasn't on my radar before I received this ARC, but I was happy to learn this is just the first in a whole series. I am a fan of instalove so this one really worked for me. Thank you to Valentine PR & Literary Management and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review. 3.5 stars |

This book is spicy in the best way. It covers many popular tropes such as Age Gap, Strong Possessive MMC, Small Town and Workplace Romance. There are lots of fun and sexy scenes. The author did a good job setting up the supporting characters. They were interesting enough to draw attention without taking the focus away from the main characters. It's fast-paced and doesn't slow. I look forward to reading more of this series. I really enjoyed the James's brothers. |

Very much an insta-love concept - did not do it for me. It felt like a very rushed story, and although it was a quick read, it still missed the longevity I’d expect from some angsty characters |

Man Hunt was a super cute, super fast read. Bridget accidentally emails her CEO (a nice hunky older billionaire) a sex quiz meant for her friend and turns out to be one of the best things she's done. Was this cute? Absolutely. Was it realistic? Not even a little bit -- they knew each other for TWO DAYS and they're in love? Was this deep? Not remotely. Did I care? Nope, I ate it up and already moved on to the next book in the series! If you're looking for something light, cute, spicy, and quick, this is a great book to fill all those needs. |

Scorching hot story! Mav and Bridget have an interesting meeting and then she figures out he’s her boss’s boss. Her boss is fired by Mav once he learns how he treats women, but Mav also finds himself extremely attracted to Bridget. Bridget feels the same, but has been burned before. Maverick tries to prove he’s trustworthy, but in any story, he screws it up and has to work to get her back. Loved the story and his brothers and definitely want to read their stories as well. Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |

If insta-love, high heat, and a fast paced romance are something you seek than look no further than Man Hunt by Vanessa Vale. This is the first book in Vale's On a Man Hunt series, and it is a low angst enjoyable read if you are looking for a quick escape. Vale's writing is easy to engage with, she has a way of blending humor and heat that make for a delightful read. This is definitely insta-love, the hero and heroine basically experience a love at first sight style of romance. This novel utilizes a age gap, billionaire, boss/employee tropes, but none of these really create any conflicts in the relationship. Both hero and heroine jump quickly into a physical relationship in which they feel a deeper pull and connection. This novel clips quickly along, and the physicality of their budding relationship really takes a forefront. Overall, this is a fast, easy read that was a great escape from the everyday. If you do not like insta-love or a very physical building of a romance you might wish to skip this one. I expect I will pick up other books in this series when I am looking for a quick and fun read. |

I was so excited to read this author for the first time but this one was just very cringey for me. Take encounters that could be subtle and sexy but instead make the quiet part be out loud is what it reminds me of. |

This was my first book from this author and the first in this series! Now to read the rest of the series, I am totally hooked! |

DNF at 20%. Not trying to be mean, but imagine if Twilight was a non-vampiric workplace romance... That would be this book. Aka, a cringe-fest. //"I think I scared her off," I admitted. I wasn't sure how I did that-since I hadn't said any of my dirty thoughts aloud-doing everything I could to reassure her I wasn't mad about the spill. I even held her hand and called her baby. I'd never done that before, called anyone baby, but it just seemed... right.// Right, because when I spill an iced coffee on a total stranger after he eye-fucked me across the café because he stood way too close behind me, I want his first words to be "baby, look at me" while tilting up my chin, because that's not creepy AT ALL. Oh, and I'd love for said total stranger to be 15 years older than me and think that he's "robbing the cradle" when thinking about how attracted he is to me. (Sure fire way to make me cringe at one of my favorite tropes) Not trying to yuck anyone's yum. If you liked this one, I'm happy for you. But I cringed so much I cannot continue reading. Also, a boss picking a fight with his employee (even one he's firing) and thinking he "has no choice" but to fight this man? Nope. Not romantic, just very unprofessional. It had potential, I loved the first chapter and the premise, but writing the FMC as a meek insecure 22 year old who will follow a total stranger's command instantly because she's in dire need of love and affection is not for me. *Thank you to Valentine PR & Literary Management for providing me an advanced reading copy of this book through Netgalley. This review is my honest opinion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.* |

I could not get past the first couple of chapters. I knew the premise was that the FMC accidentally sends her boss a sex quiz, I did not know how sleezy the main character and her friends would sound. I love a good boss romance, but this is just not it. The characters are just not interesting or engaging. Even the MMC sounded lukewarm. |

Bridget just 'Sixteen Candles'-ed herself! Inspired by watching the movie 'Sixteen Candles' (the best John Hughes romcom, btw) Bridget's friend Mallory decides to make her own 'sex quiz' for their friends to fill out and have a fun girl's night out discussing it. When Bridget gets flustered while finishing it, she accidentally emails it to her boss MA-verick instead of her friend MA-llory. An easy to make and hard to take back error created in our autofill world. I laughed so hard at how cringey-awkward it was for poor shy Bridget! I couldn't help it, it was too funny! The rest of the book kept me giggling, sighing, cringing, and a little/lot hot under the collar. This is a fun story with plenty of steam and heart! I am really looking forward to the rest of the series! (I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley) |

Whoa. This was steamy. It's also a very sweet love story and I'm excited to continue the series. Thank you to NetGalley for a digital copy |

this was just such a fun and delightful read! i really liked this and it was so much fun!! if you're into this type of book, you should definitely check this one out!!!! |

This steamy, spicy, not able to put down romance is oh, so good! I laughed out loud and felt as though I was binge-watching a delicious gossipy show. It is unique and engaging. I cannot wait to share this with MANY readers! |

Rating: 4 stars ⭐️ If you want to read a steamy romance with a lot of suspense and spice, this is definitely the perfect option for you! Thank you to Netgalley, Vanessa Vale and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own. |

This was a quick contemporary read. It definitely had a good bit of spice packed into it but it just felt like it was missing something. It was a fun plot and storyline with some good characters it just needed a little more to it. Overall it was a decent read. |

Manhunt is a smutty romcom that takes place in a picturesque small town. The first in what appears to be a series of 5 interconnected standalones, Manhunt focuses on the nerdy and naive Bridget and the confident, older businessman, Maverick. This is an instalust/instalove book with the typical protective MMC. The age gap trope and the boss/employee trope are very prevalent in this story. Bridget and Maverick have their meetcute when she spills her coffee on him. Maverick is instantly smitten. Then Bridget finds out he’s her boss before accidentally sending her sex quiz answers to him. Maverick is determined to make Bridget his. The future books are likely to follow Maverick’s equally hot brothers and will take place in the same town. This book is pretty typical for its tropes and genre. It was a fluffy and fun romcom with a somewhat overbearing MMC. There is the miscommunication trope involved and I lost count of the number of times the title was incorporated into the book. It definitely had parts that were reminiscent of wattpad with the FMC wearing “not a lick of makeup which only highlighted how naturally beautiful she was.” If you like 16 Candles then you’ll probably appreciate the references in this book. Happy Reading! -Bookish Bay All thoughts and opinions expressed in the above review are my own. Thank you to Vannesa Vale and Valentine PR & Literary Management for the opportunity to read and review this book. |
