A lot of really interesting wordplay, very modernist at times, but it made these poems really impenetrable. It felt like there was a lot of emotion sitting under the surface, but I had no idea how to decode it.

This collection would be good to dip into from time to time but I don’t think I enjoyed it as one cohesive work. I found a lot of the poems readable, but I wasn’t wowed by any of them. I just don’t think that collection was for me, but I can see how other people might enjoy it.

If you love prose, or better yet a collection of poems that you can read when you have a few minutes to yourself-on a bus, on the plane, as you wait in line and as you ponder what life has to offer, try this collection.
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC.
