No Cooldown for Love by Aliyah Burke was an interesting story and I enjoyed the chemistry between Mitchell and Hope. The story moved well and I want to explore other books by this author.

"You were much more flushed from the kiss we shared. I'll prove it to you later."
“Damn her for wanting skin on skin. Damn him for making her crave it from him.”
"I'm fucking addicted to your taste, Flykra."
This series has such a hold on me !!!! I loved it !!! I absolutely loved this book!!!! With forced proximity, one bed trope, possessive man, plus size heroine and a tension so thick it could cut air, Hope and Mitchell’s romance was absolutely addicting !!!!! She is a science journalist and she has just had a terrible accident when a handsome, Greek-god-like Adonis, ex-NBA player saves her but thanks to a storm they have to share a room in a hotel for single people where she is gonna meet new friends and a roommate that will have a hard time keeping his hands to himself. All of this not even saying that he is recovering from a divorce from his cheating ex-wife !!!!
Their chemistry was impossible to ignore and I found myself tremble more than one time. And Mitchell … that man has a way with words !!!! But I can’t be surprised considering the effect his best friends (aka Linc and Tully) had on me in the first two books in this series !!! Plus his very outgoing and sexy and possessive attitude was well-matched with her naive and shy personality!!!!! They will both try to trust again as well as love and be loved in return without feeling inadequate or unworthy!!!!
I love these books especially for their meaning and for the fact that, honest to the core, these women are absolutely badasses !!!!!! They are so inspiring and the fact that they have their men looking at them like they are the moon is thrilling in a way that’s amazing !!!!
I am so glad I had a chance to read this book and I can’t wait for another instalment!!!!
"Then lift your hips for me, baby, because you're wearing too many goddamn clothes."
"Don't tempt me, Flykra. I would love to get my hands on you again."
"When it comes to you, Flykra, there is no cooldown on love.”

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an eARC of No Cooldown for Love in exchange for my honest review. This book was amazing! I could not put it down. I love a FMC that is curvy as well as a duel POV romance.

Oohh this was so good! I couldn't stop reading this! I simply adored this and had such a good time with this book! Great book for a pick me up or to read while relaxing to get lost in.
I just reviewed No Cooldown for Love by Aliyah Burke. #NoCooldownforLove #NetGalley

To its credit, I read No Cooldown for Love in a couple of hours. Granted, I was on a plane with basically just my e-reader to keep me company. And even more to its credit, the whole plot basically hinges on there being one bed. Which I'm a sucker for. That's kind of where the fun of the book ended for me.
I didn't realize that this book is the third in a series, and the first chapter opens with the three guys lamenting Mitchell's recent divorce and cheating ex-wife. The way that they talk to one another just reeks of "dude" and manly men, and it was pretty off-putting. Mitchell of course swears off women, which doesn't last very long.
Then an absolutely bonkers thing happens, which is that as Mitchell is driving through the windy snowy roads of Vermont, he encounters an upside-down car perched precariously on a cliff (?!), then goes over to the car after calling 911, and rescues the woman inside?! All the while noticing how beautiful she is and chastising himself for noticing that. And then her call, without her in it, plummets off the cliff. Okay, sure, why not. I am all for accepting the weird coincidences that make romances function, but this was probably too much.
Mitchell and Hope then proceed to find the only nearby B&B, and of course there's only one room, and there's a raging snowstorm, so they're stuck. Along with a group of singles who have gathered for a singles event that gets extremely extended. There was a lot of potential here, including the pillow barrier between them that Hope builds every night that almost always ends up not working. But ultimately, Mitchell and Hope didn't talk about their feelings, instead dancing around one another and Mitchell getting alpha possessive even though neither he nor Hope ever talk about their feelings. Combined with the fact that they both in their minds say "well obviously when the storm lets up, I'll never see them again" instead of saying that to each other.
There were some sweet moments after they finally transition from idiots to lovers, but the third act breakup was truly awful. Mitchell reverted to a different version of himself, which was shocking given how he felt about Hope and what he had done to distance himself from that version of himself (though, apparently it wasn't enough). The breakup was so awful that I wasn't sure that I wanted them to get back together.
One other point in favor of this book -- it managed to be a one bed/forced proximity/stuck at the inn book for at least half the book, which is impressive.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an eARC of No Cooldown for Love in exchange for my honest review.

This book was interesting to read. While I believe the writing was good for the most part, the plot was a complete mess. The characters were half decent. I liked Hope, even though I don’t think her career was well researched by the author. Mitchell was kinda gross - he became so overprotective and possessive so quickly when he barely even knew Hope and he just got finished with a divorce! And then his train of thought and his constant fantasies of Hope while being incredibly jealous without even really knowing her? I would’ve warned any friend that he had some red flags waving! The timing of events didn’t flow well at all and was sometimes confusing to follow. I think the intent was good, but some parts also felt very cheesy and forced to mark a check next to a certain romance trope. Overall, this book needed a strong outline and motive before everything else was worked out - along with a less borderline creepy MMC. 2.5⭐️, 3.5🌶

I received a copy of “No Cooldown for Love” by Aliyah Burke from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, but the review is my own.
This is the third standalone (yet interconnected) book in the Rock Falls series about three former professional athletes. MMC Mitchell Anderson is an ex-basketball star, who rescues FMC Hope Roman, a science journalist leaving the funeral of her mentor, from a snowy car crash. They take refuge in a nearby bed and breakfast and must share a room for a few nights until the storm passes through.
I loved the meeting between this couple and forced-proximity / one-bed are great romance tropes. I was less a fan of the singles mixer that was happening in the B&B when the storm struck as it led to a variety of getting-to-know-you mixer games that I did not enjoy. Now, I’m not a fan of these types of games anytime, so I think my dislike was mostly based on my own personal feelings, which another reader may find more funny than cringe. Some bets for kisses and mutual jealousy made these scenes a bit uncomfortable for me; I like better the one-on-one moments.
I enjoyed when the story moved to Rock Falls but thought the third-act conflict was jarring and sudden. While not a giant fan of the miscommunication trope for conflict, I don’t avoid books with them; yet, in this story, the conflict happens immediately after a hot and moving intimate scene, so it felt particularly unsettling. Mitchell has an overbearing, racists, body-shaming mother who wants the MMC to reunite with hi ex-wife – he knows his mother is toxic but instantly takes her side rather than listening to Hope.
I think there was a lot of unexplored emotional depth to these characters. I'm not usually a fan of pop-therapy in modern romance novels as I think it can be a writing crutch, but it really seemed as though both main characters could benefit from some professional help to address the adult consequences of their childhoods.
This was the first book that I read by the author, and I would try the others works by Burke, but overall this story left me a bit cool.

Due to a blizzard Hope and Mitchell are forced to stay together at an Inn in Vermont where a singles mixer is happening. While everything seems perfect when at the cozy Inn can what's between them last once they are back in the real world?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of "No Cooldown For Love". All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Mitchell rescues Hope when she gets into an accident. For Mitchell, it was instant love. Hope is much too stubborn and smart for that. The duo ends up sharing a room at the local B&B. It is a singles mixer and Mitchell becomes extra protective of Hope. One thing leads to another and their chemistry is undeniable.
One thing I really enjoyed was Mitchell's relationship with his friends. They are hilarious and make sure that Hope is included in their group. The banter between Mitchell and Hope was top-tier.
The one thing that I did not like was the 3rd act break-up. During the book, we kept hearing that Mitchell's mother tainted his view of the world and his relationships. Yet magically she shows up and immediately a fight begins and Mitchell sides with his mother. Just odd.
I do wish that I would have read the other 2 books in the series before I read this one. It did not affect my rating or how I viewed this book. I am thoroughly pleased with this book and would recommend it!

I was excited to read this book and tried to give it the benefit of the doubt/push through, but I had to call it quits at 59%.
As an avid reader and writer myself, I fully grasp “suspension of disbelief,” but the storyline, characters, and even dialogue were so unrealistic that it took me out of the story. Additionally, it seemed the author was more interested in espousing her own agenda and opinions than character development. My final turn-off was the completely unnecessary comment about the metal genre, which frankly was the music equivalent of “smut shaming.”

This book is exactly what I needed to fuel my sports romance soul. It's steamy, witty, and makes me want to find my own professional basketball player to fall in love with. Aliyah Burke hit the game-winner when she wrote No Cooldown for Love.
I am currently watching the NBA Finals and while I love the sport and competition, I admit I swoon for the man candy on tv. So, when I was finishing up this book, I was excited that I could live out a fantasy through this character. Hope is a bright and funny woman, who isn't having the best of luck. She lost an important person in her life and is on the edge of a cliff, dangling from her car after an accident. And that's when Mitchell Anderson, an ex-professional basketball player, swoops in and literally saves her life. He finds them a place in town to stay to ride out the winter storm, but there is only one room with one bed. Ohh, this trope is a fave of mine!!
It's so fun to read about this trope and how Hope was putting up so many walls including the pillow on the bed to divide it fairly. While Mitchell and Hope aren't the ones to just tell their life story to a stranger, they find themselves getting closer in more ways than one. The line from friends to lovers gets thinner by the day and when it breaks, readers can expect flirting, dirty talk, and some downright sexy love scenes.
I texted my besties to look out for this one because I know they will enjoy it as much as I did. Like me, they love a good romance. And what I appreciated so much about this book is the representation of a plus-size heroine who is also a woman of color. Author Aliyah Burke made Hope seem like any of us who have insecurities about our looks, size, and how others see us. That's what makes a good romance read! A read that is charming, romantic, but has real depth to it!

It was cute. It was funny. But it was lacking depth and character development. Who is Hope? Who is Mitchell? I don’t feel like we really got to know them. I would have loved to have had more of their back stories.
I did love the fact that the FMC wasn’t a size zero and she was so bold and confident in herself and her appearance. We don’t see that represented often enough in books. All bodies are beautiful and I felt that in this book. I’m also a sucker for grumpy x sunshine, one bed, and forced proximity tropes so I really enjoyed that.
Overall the book was cute and a quick read. Just wished there was more character development with Hope and Mitchell.

Here we have the one bed trope and instant love trope. I really liked the two main characters and their connection. I loved the banter between the two and really enjoyed their stories.

The main problem I've had with the story is that it's written in third person. I'm not sure if another type of narrator (first person and dual POV) would have made me connect more with the main characters because, in general, they seemed rather flat and undeveloped to me. Especially Hope. I feel like I finished the book without really getting to know them.
It's a light and quick read but it fails to leave mark on the reader. I probably won't remember Hope and Mitchell's story in a few weeks.
Although I loved that there was plus size representation, the rest of the clichés didn't convince me. If some of the following appeal to you, this book might be for you:
- One bed
- Insta-love
- Forced proximity
- Nickname/mote
I was really looking forward to liking this story and as I started it I felt it had potential, but as it progressed the more disconnected I felt.
I thank Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for sending me the ARC. I read it voluntarily and all opinions are my own.

Loved this book was well written and the characters where great. I was so invested in the story some of my family members thought I had gone insane. The plot is interesting and the setting is charming.

This book was a disappointment! I really thought I would like this book because it had everything to be perfect! One bed troupe, come on!!! But this one wasn't for me. The dual pov in the third person, was weird. Sometimes I found the narrative didn't make any sense, like I've skipped chapters, but that wasn't the case.
The female main character, told about her personal life to strangers and not the man she was supposedly in love??? Doesn't make any sense.
I would love I litlle more background on the main characters life. I think that everything was rushed, and that all that alpha male for me wasn't doing it for me.
But not everything was bad, I really love the friendship between the characters.
Sorry if I misspelled any word, my first language is Portuguese.
Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc.

Oh I like this a lot, is easy and fun, love the characters and the way the meet like omg , anyway, loved it very much a much need it refreshing book . Definitely would recommend if you want a easy fun love story .

The first half of the book was my favorite, but it felt similar to an instant love trope which is not my preference. Thought this book was pretty good, the spicy scenes were well-written and had lots of chemistry. That being said, the emotional chemistry felt slightly lacking. The pacing also felt a little off at times.

This was a steamy, fun, and oh so sweet read! Got me out of a severe reading slump.
One bed trope, slow-burn, insta-love story featuring a plus size FMC and a celebrity MMC! The love story has me blushing for the characters, I just couldn't put it down.
Meeting the other characters at the singles mixer added just the right amount of tension for our MC's.
If I could change one thing, I wish there was more background on the MC's. We get a glimpse at their lives before meeting each other, but not enough to understand the impact of some events that occur in their personal lives (Hope's time in the system, Hope's mentor, Mitchell's relationship with his mother.)
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Mitchell Ex-pro basketball player is done with women after a nasty divorce from a woman that never loved him. Deciding to leave the city and his stresses over the recent divorce, he's traveling during a snowstorm. When he sees an overturned car on the edge of a cliff, he knows he has only minutes to rescue the woman trapped inside.
After he rescues Hope Roman from her flipped car on the side of a mountain, he looks for a warm place for shelter and for someone that can help with her injuries. He finds an inn with one room available and books it for them.
This book had a good start, but halfway through the book, the characters started to lose me. Finn is obsessed with her, but there is no real explanation as to why. It felt like an Insta-love romance, but at the same time, the way Finn talks about the female characters was often a little uncomfortable and took away from what could have been a true rom-com novel. It felt a little forced, and it was harder to connect with these characters.
The spicy sex scenes were nice, and it seems that most of the chemistry between these characters was sexual, not love, which is what I really want from a romance novel. I felt like the ending was rushed, and I was happy to finish the book to say that I was finished. Not because I especially enjoyed it.
