Quite an engaging combination of Indian culture, history, and romance in the unusual setting of an Assam tea plantation, drawing on the author's personal experience growing up on an Assamese tea estate. It was interesting to read about the cultural attitudes toward different castes, the treatment of widows, and other Indian traditions that were woven into the story.
