A cute story! I wanted something light-hearted to read and this filled that requirement. The only thing that caught me by surprise was the insta-love / insta-lust which I'm not a big fan of but other than it was a cute, quick, and easy read.

ADORABLE💖💖!!!Thank you NetGalley and Lumi Publishing for granting me access to his book in exchange for an honest review.

What a sweet and charming rom-com about a small town girl from New Zealand that meets a famous Turkish TV celebrity. It has your fake dating trope, celebrity trope, romance, tension, hilarious banter, amazing chemistry and a little bit of spice! The plot and characters felt real and relatable and I was emotionally invested. I absolutely adored this book so much!! 💜💜Once I started reading I could not stop and I finished it in a day. This is my first read by Enni Amanda and now I want to go back and read her other books.

This is Aria and Cem's love story and they are so swoon worthy! After giving up on her dreams as an actress, Aria returns to her hometown of Napier and accepts a job working as a film location scout. Cem is a famous actor that escapes to New Zealand to avoid the spotlight after an embarrassing mishap. While checking out a historical hotel for a movie location, Aria meets Cem and the connection is instant. Surprisingly, Aria looks quite similar to Cem's former TV Costar/Ex Girlfriend. He makes her an offer she cannot refuse! Aria agrees to help him fix his reputation with the public by faking dating as his Ex. Why would she agree to help? What could possibly go wrong?

I enjoyed learning about the different cultures and the history of Istanbul. I appreciated the explanation/glossary of a few Turkish words that the author provided. Most of all, I loved that this was about following your heart and believing in your dreams.

Overall, it was a quick, fun and light read that I highly recommend!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely adored this! I really didn’t think I would, I don’t normally love celebrity tropes but I ate this UP! Cem showed so much growth, and I love how he and Aria truly brought out the best in each other. Enni Amanda did a fantastic job of describing the scenery, it was as if I was there! I found Cem’s brother Emir absolutely insufferable though, he bothered me throughout the entire book. This story reminded me a little of the Lizzie McGuire Movie, only Cem is not a villain. I definitely recommend this book and I will be reading anything Enni Amanda puts into the world!

All opinions regarding this book are my own!

I'm really sad to write this review. I had really high expectations because I haven't read anything that involves Turkish men👀 Tiktok got me hooked on this one...

But here it is:

I'm wasn't a fan because even though this is supposed to be a slow burn it didn't feel like one in terms of how their relationship built.

Everything felt kind of random, and as much as I tried I couldn't like Aria or Cem. On one hand she was like meeh, didn't stick out to me (iykyk) I liked where the plot was going with her not deciding to continue her actress career and meeting an actor that will help with that was really cool and that was what kept my going but as I continued reading I realize that it wasn't for me.

I won't be sharing this review until afterthe release date since I don't want this to reflect on the author now ✨

This was very cute and very sweet! It read almost like a screenplay reformatted into a book… if that makes sense to anyone but me 😂

Their banter was hilarious, the premise was outrageous (in an absolutely delightful way), and the chaos was wonderful.

We’ve got a touch of insta-love, and of course the tragic miscommunication trope. But though it was just chance that brought these two together, their chemistry and camaraderie is undeniable, and makes them a force to be reckoned with!

This book was so cute. Think small town girl meets Turkish celebrity playboy. If you like fake dating tropes this is the book for you. The spice was minimal but so so good. For a shorter romance novel the characters are pretty complex. I do wish the ending had been a little bit longer because I was desperate for another spicy scene. However, I really enjoyed the book overall and am definitely interested in reading more by this author.

As always a big thank you to NetGalley and Lumi Publishing for the chance to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved My Lucky Star. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic and I thought it was believable. I enjoyed the scenery of both New Zealand and Turkey. Although the author stated some places were fictional, I still want to visit both countries, Turkey from this book alone. I really enjoyed this book.

Enni Amanda is the gold standard of contemporary romance just on the cusp of breaking out and when booktok discovers her book, watch out. If you love Turkish dramas, you will devour this. If you don’t know about Turkish drama television? Buckle up. You’re in for a fun ride.

Aria used to dream be a big actress in Auckland but that never happen so she went back to Napier and started working as location scout . Cem Erkam a famous Turkish actor after a scandal he is in New Zeland to hide from the paparazzi . They meet when the hotel he stays is a place she needs for her client . He is more surprised because she looks like his old co-star Burcu . He asks her to help him with his image and if she could pretent to be Burcu , which the Turkish people wanted them together . The only problem is that they can't keep their feelings platonic but they fell in love . What happen when they go back to Turkey and the real Burcu wants to take over ? What will Cem do ?
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .

As a person who grew up watching turkish shows, I was hooked up immediately.
I'm not lying when I'm telling you that this book got me out of my reading slump. It was such a fun, quick read. It was my first book from this author, and I absolutely loved it. The only thing that I didn't like was mentioning tiktok. I know it's a modern setting, but I just... cringed every time that app was mentioned.

Cute read, fake dating with a twist.
Characters were adorable and funny. Loved Cem! Kinda himbo energy, very lovable. Aria was just as lovely. Emir was the bane of my existence, pissed me off to no end.
Loved seeing Turkish and New Zealand rep! (As an Australian reader love seeing people on our side of the globe :)
Overall was super fun read, would recommend :)
Thank you so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the free copy provided in exchange for an honest review!

It was a quick read but I wished it resonated to me a lot more. The premise sounded fun. MMC (Cem)and brother (Emir) roped FMC (Aria) into pretending to be his old costar (Burcu) whom he had a relationship with to help his reputation. Aria and Burcu could be identical twins but Aria is always mentioned to be the bigger version of Burcu. Throughout the whole book as Aria and Cem bond there’s always that comparison going on. Even until towards the end of the book, I’m not sure if Cem’s feelings were genuine but last chapter did resolve it.

Read this if you like/love:
- Celebrity romance
- Fake dating/fake identity
- Turkish culture
- Insta-lust(?)

Does involve:
- Body shaming

Please check other TW prior to reading.

Thanks to netgalley and publisher for this arc! First off this is first ever dizi related book I've found and was beyond excited to read it! It lived up to my excitement! The chemistry, fake dating trope(my fave trope of all time), travel, and Turkish were all there! Loved the premise of a dizi actor having to escape to a small town in New Zealand to ride out a pr nightmare where he meets a kiwi woman who looks just like his first dizi partner Burcu! Also still dying over how they meet!!! One of the hottest funniest cutes meet cutes of all time. Also their banterrrrr!! I adored this book so much especially as a dizi watcher for years now and friend of Turks! It felt like I was dropped into a new Turkish movie and loved it!

Cem was a walking dream dizi man come to life whewwww. He was reallyyyyy putting the moves of her and wow she is truly god's strongest solider because I wouldn't have been. All the fake dating scenes were killing me in the best way, their chemistry is insane just like my fave dizi couples! Thank you Enni for writing this fun book!

Omg I knew this book was inspired by Demet and Can aka Sanem and Can from Erkenci Kus!!! I'm screaming because the vibes reading it I knew it was my beloved couple that got me into dizis! And she confirmed that Can is the inspiration for Night & Day book cover ahhhh!

I really enjoyed this sweet cross-cultural romance. Both Aria and Cem were very likeable and felt real, and I couldn’t wait to see them fall in love. Aria's fear around falling for Cem was understandable and relatable. I enjoyed seeing them face their hurdles and battle to overcome them. It was an easy read, and quite addictive too. I flew through the pages and didn’t want to put it down.

I also really enjoyed the New Zealand and Turkish settings as both aren't featured in many books I've read previously. Being an Australian, reading a book set in NZ was really great because it felt very similar to here.

My criticisms are few. I felt that Emir, Cem’s brother, was a little two dimensional and could have done with more depth. And I thought that there were just a few too many mentions of Cem’s hard-on! Okay, we get it - he’s VERY attracted to her!

All in all, a great read!
