An adorable, post-divorce, slow-burn romance. Great narrator. Recommend audiobook. Sweet story. Engaging. Love the beach setting.

Teresa F. Morgan's Sunsets and Happy Ever Afters does just what the title suggests. It's a lovely story about Maya, a single mom who's just starting to consider dating again after a painful divorce. Set in a coastal down in the UK, the place is as much a crucial element to the story as the characters are. This world overlaps with Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove. A wonderful summer beach read.

This was a beautiful slow burn. Both MC were loveable and likeable. I really enjoyed going on this journey with them.

Another cute beach read by Morgan! Maya, a recently divorced mother of two, tries to find love again so she tries her hand in online dating. This was a slow-burn romance that was an easy read. There are not too many stories about a single parent trying to find love again, especially when that parent is the woman. I really enjoyed that kids were involved. I loved Maya as a character and enjoyed how Sam changed and grew throughout the story. At times it felt like a PG-13 story because not much happened in that department. I enjoyed this cozy and warm story with a dash of romance. This was a sequel to Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove as it took one of the side characters and created a story around them. Just like the previous book, this was another new release of the audiobook. The story was first released in 2022.

A light and easy beach read of trying to find love again... but internet dating is a thing. I loved the grumpy/sunshine and friends to lovers tropes as well as the real-life feels for the hard times Maya went through.

So freaking cute. I devoured this book and loved every second of it. I was totally rooting for the two min characters and I found the whole journey enchanting and real. I liked the mix of realistic life but also all the hope and happiness it embodied.

This is a fun, entertaining read. I enjoyed both the romance and relationship aspects of the story. I liked how Sam and Maya met and the development of their relationship. They are relatable and interesting characters. This is a good summertime read. The family dynamics are depicted well.

The narrator did a good job – easy to understand and follow.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is my second book by Teresa F Morgan and they’ve both been huge hits for me! I’ve now vowed to check out every book written by this author as, if these ones have been anything to go by, the others will be instant hits too.

Immediately I loved Maya’s character and rooted for her all the way. The set up between her and Sam was just great and the transition from grumpy sunshine to friendship and more was so endearing. I loved all of the characters and the whole book was just a big bubble of happiness.

It was super cosy, immersive and feel good happy. I love books like this that makes you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I definitely left feeling happier and the audiobook was fab too. It added to its ease of enjoyment and I’m sad I’ve finished it! It flew by in a blink of an eye.

thought Teresa Morgan did a first-rate job creating this contemporary romance. The writing's really good, easy to follow, steady paced, and the story is both romantic and family-oriented.

Take two very grounded, hard-working single parents -- one divorced, one widowed -- add internet dating, well-meaning friends and family pushing for each to climb back on the relationship train, and some great descriptions of fun and good family times on the picturesque Cornish coast. You end up with this novel which has a lot of heart and realistic ups and downs, with a slow-build connection on the road to romance. It made me eager to read more of Morgan's work.

To start, I listened to this on audiobook and the narrator is fantastic. She has a great voice and I really enjoyed listening to her. The story is a great women's fiction/romance, with older, mature characters. I liked how Sam and Maya got to know one another slowly, and with a family context. We get both Sam and Maya's point of views which I think helped in this case. There is some miscommunication but it didn't take away from the story for me, because I think ultimately it was handled well. I enjoyed the location, the friends and family involved and the characters themselves. A great summer beachtime listen. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

I wanted a light audio book and this cute cover caught my eye. This general fiction with romance focuses on Maya. She is divorced and primary caretaker of her two school age children. She supports them by being a beauty professional running a business doing make-up, nails, waxing and massages. She is finally ready to start dating which means looking for people online. Maya meets Sam, the widowed father of her daughters best friend when he picks her up from her daughters birthday party. They start off as friends running into one another accidentally at the movies or while making playdates for the girls. She thinks he is off limits as it could be messy for the daughters friendship. Unbeknownst to her he has recently started dabbling in online dating. He tried once too soon after his wife’s passing. Coincidentally they connect and correspond online. He knows who she is in real life, she doesn’t, and his profile is one she turns to as confidant.

This is very British in the best ways. I love he invites her for tea meaning dinner and there is always biscuits for the kids etc. Of course it is set in England but sometimes writers try to use more americanized wording and I appreciate that isn’t the case. This is very much a slow burn novel going through several months of run ins and outings between Maya and Sam. The characters feel realistic and I like how naturally they include extended family. I enjoyed it. But I can see others being disappointed that there isn’t a big dramatic moment or they can’t keep their hands off each other. Everything progresses along to the expected reveal.

The novel was published July 2022 so I’m not sure if being on NetGalley is to promote the audiobook release or if there is a new release for the novel. Thank you to Saga Egmont Audio for the audio book and I am leaving a voluntary review. (3.5 Stars)

Maya is struggling after her divorce to find someone that she connects with. She runs a travel beauty business where she does nails, waxing, and massages and is the sole caretaker of her two kids. She turns to online dating in hopes of connecting with someone special, but all the guys she matches with end up being duds. After her daughter has a few friends stay over, Maya meets Sam, the dad of her daughters best friend and they start out on a rocky foundation. Sam is struggling to get back out there and date after his wife passed away about 4 years ago. When they reconnect over their daughters wanting to spend time together, they start as just friends, but they are both secretly curious if they could actually make it worse. They are both online dating and seem to find no luck.

I loved how we got to see Sam's family from Teresa F. Morgans other book, Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove. I also like how Maya and Sam supported each other first as single parents, helping each other out and tag teaming things when they could. Sam was worried that his relationship with Maya was shot after his rude attitude the first time, but he was willing to earn her trust back. I wish they had gotten together a little sooner, but loved their HEA!

Maya has suffered through a dreadful divorce and is busy raising her children and running her beauty business. She develops a casual friendship with Sam, the father of her daughter’s best friend and while Maya doesn’t initially see Sam as boyfriend material, she begins to realize the best relationships are built on friendship. This is a sweet and enjoyable romance, perfect for relaxing after a long day
