I ultimately wasn't able to finish this one. Some spots are physically confusing (where they are in space, what is happening/why), and I wasn't able to get emotionally invested in what was going on. The spice didn't sizzle for me. This book may be for you if you're looking for a short steamy read.

I consider thus book as a Very steamy novella! I will say that I did enjoy the sexual tension that Holden and Donika had, not so much how Holden treated Donika. But for the hot, steamy sex they had, I had to finish the book.
The author did keep me engaged. Might not be my go-to but the author writes these so well, I would recommend you give it a try! I'm waiting for future books from this author.

"The Peacock" by A.R. Hadley is a mesmerizing and deeply introspective novel that delves into the complexities of love, loss, and self-discovery.

Pretty interesting novella all things considered, and I enjoyed the short read! I wasn't fond of how Holden acted from time to time though, and the end felt pretty abrupt to me and left me a few questions, Perhaps I need to reread it and see it for myself again.

Umm what I wanna know what happens I want more 😫😫 it really good but I want more lol

This was took off from the very first chapter, and kept me hooked all the way through. A great forbidden romance short story. However, it really lost me at the end- it felt very out of nowhere and somewhat unnecessary, and left me wondering if i had missed something huge earlier in the story. Otherwise, it was a good read.

A very steamy short story this was my first short story page one was already getting straight to the point ! Very interesting read a huge page turner couldn't put the book down !!! Now does her "no" really meant it ! The tittle of the book will dawn on the readers as they read the book ! Quite a fascinating book read ! This is a netgalley ARC review !!
