I have been watching The Curse of Oak Island for several years now so I was excited to read a book that tied many of the clues together. I was interested in each chapter but I was left with more questions than answers. It was enjoyable and thought provoking as I read through the discoveries they had made but it felt like a recap of the show in some cases. I would still recommend this book.

I received an arc via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

I've been slightly obsessed with the mystery of Oak Island since the show came out years ago!

So it wasn't surprising that I'd want to get my hand on this particular book when I had the opportunity.

If you're a follower of the Oak Island obsession, Oak Island Odyssey probably won't provide you with any new insight into the various theories floating around and technically, it focuses on the Knights Templar.

The book does provide a great catelog of historical events and family connections, some of which I'd actually forgotten. I mean, the show's been on for 10 year and the adventures has been going on for centuries, it's a lot of history to remember!

If you have a friend or family member that's into the mystery of Oak Island, this would make a great gift and a perfect addition to the library.

I have been fascinated with the Oak Island treasure since reading about it in the 1960’s. Really enjoy watching Rick & Marty’s show on television. And thinking about the dozens of theories about the treasure.
The author’s book is another “theory”. This one connects the treasure to the Masons. He packs a lot of information into the book. I now know more about the Masonic tradition and history than I ever wanted to know. It’s an interesting theory. Hopefully time will tell us what the actual story is!

I am a fan of Oak Island and its series on History Channel This book gives a LOT of interesting facts and things I have never heard of nor have seen on the show. To think that John Dee was not the originator of much of the magic o the 1500s was an eye opener to me. What dd all these people know and the Freemasons in turn continue as best they could. One thing I will do as I continue to follow this mystery unravel is Lot 18 and its importance. This book is superb and well worth the time to read. I could not put it down.

This was a great nonfiction book, I knew of Oak Island from the show and decided to read a book about it instead of the show. Scott Clarke does a great job in giving me everything that I was looking for and was written well.

I absolutely love history and I actually watch the show "The Curse of Oak Island" so when I saw this ARC available, I just had to request it.

I loved how the history or Oak Island and the money pit was explained. Although I already knew some of it, there was a lot of new information that I found interesting. The theories and supporting evidence were detailed and concise.

I liked how the author had personal connections to the Freemasons and Oak Island. It's clear that the author is passionate about this subject.

I can't comment on the quality of the images, maps and illustrations because unfortunately, my copy didn't have any included which I was a little disappointed about.

Although this was a short book, it was packed full of intriguing ideas and I definitely recommend reading it.

*Thank you to @Netgalley and the publishers for providing this ARC. This is my own opinion and an honest review, which I am leaving voluntarily*
