There's just something that calls to me when there's a destination wedding in a romance novel. And through in a little healthy competition, I definitely can't resist! Tillie and Gabe had HOT chemistry and I loved them together. I didn't know upon reading that this is a follow-up to another book, so I do recommend reading the books in order if you want to avoid any relationship spoilers. But, if you're like me and you're a chaotic lil demon and read according to your mood, definitely pick this up when you have a Pina Colada in hand and you're laying on the beach. Or on your driveway in the sun pretending you're on a beach.

You won't be disappointed!

Tillie James, a bartender on a tropical island for her sister's wedding, meets local bartender Gabe Landers in a humorous encounter. Their vacation fling evolves into a deeper connection, but living in different countries poses challenges. The story navigates their relatable struggles with separation, family bonds, and personal histories. Tillie and Gabe's chemistry is depicted as steamy and addictive, leading to a heartwarming resolution despite the obstacles. The narrative strikes a perfect balance of humor, love, real-life issues, and spice, portraying the characters as flawed yet relatable individuals. The friendly bartender competition and subsequent outings add depth to their evolving romance. The story, filled with witty dialogue and three-dimensional characters, explores the couple's journey of overcoming past baggage for a happier future.

This was a fine romance. I read this while on vacation and felt it was a good choice for a vacation read.

The wedding shake-up is a perfectly charming romance that is lighter than air and that has very little active conflict. I found it really entertaining.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Tillie and Gabe. They meet when Tillie’s sister is having a beach wedding just down the beach from Gabe’s hut. There is an instant attraction. Tillie has taken two weeks off for vacation on the island. They start dating. It gets to be the last day and they have to say goodbye. They work it out and fall in love.

*”Cocktail” movie vibe
*Cute, creative storyline
*Gets pretty spicy 🌶️-had to skip paragraphs
*Skimmed through the second half of the book because I started to lose interest

This is the second book of the Wedding Meet Cute series. I have not read anything by this author before, but after reading this, I will definitely be going back and reading the first book. I had such fun reading it. It is a cute and sweet story that will having you smiling and laughing along the way through. Tillie travels to a destination wedding for her sister on La Jarra Island. While there, she meets a hot bartender, Gabe, who she first butts heads with but then the two are wildly attracted to each other and they start hanging out together. They both decide to keep it casual, since Tillie will be going back to Atlanta after the wedding. But the connection they share is deep and saying goodbye is harder than they thought.
A fun and flirty story, but not without its challenges! I enjoyed the relationship developing between Tillie and Gabe, they had such sizzling chemistry. And the banter between them was so much fun to read. A highly entertaining story I am glad to have had the opportunity to read!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

The Wedding Shake-Up is the second book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. It was a fun book with a beautiful island setting, lots of fun bartending and great chemistry between the two leads. I liked Gabe and Tillie a lot, they are both recovering from childhood trauma and they bond over some of it. The fling seemed to grow organically into something more, even though it was pretty quick. I liked getting more of the other sisters as well and I hope the next book is Lila.

In this second book of the series, Tillie is at her sister's wedding at the beach when crabs invade. Her brother attempts to smash them when a grumpy local arrives and saves the crabs. After the wedding, Tillie arrives at his bar and realizes how delicious he is.
Gabe doesn't date, especially tourists but there is something about Tillie that he can't resist. When they propose to let their attraction see its course over her vacation, neither imagined how strong their attraction was to each other.
Opinion
This book is a great laugh out loud pick me up. I was entertained the entire time while reading and often found myself wondering what was going on with Tillie and Gabe when I wasn't reading. This is the perfect kind of book that lets you take a breather from real life and enjoy the lives of fictional characters.
This book is the first book I've read by Knight. I have seen the name many times on other books. Now that I've read this book, I'm questioning myself as to why I haven't read any more. I will be remedying that in the near future. Knight has a style that makes me giddy while reading.
Many thanks to Net Galley and to Montlake for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Tillie James is standing on a beautiful island watching her older sister marry the love of her life while the crabs start to migrate toward the ocean. She tries not to cause a panic looking at other guests to see if they see what see sees. Until all he’ll breaks loose when a herd of crabs are making their way to the ocean. That is when Tillie runs into the most unlikely person.

Gabe has lived on the island all of his life. One thing he doesn’t go is flings with tourists. He runs his bar on the beach and is happy with his life until the dark haired siren from the wedding arrives at his bar. Then he finds himself breaking all of his rules.

This cute read had me cheering for this couple the whole time. I was so happy to see them work through all of the issues they had pop up after they left the island. It was an enjoyable read.

A destination wedding for Tillie's sister has its drawbacks: hair-wrecking ocean spray and pincher crabs. And its perks: sexy, hotheaded beachfront bartender Gabe, who brings out the competitive streak in fellow drinkslinger Tillie. When the rivals get together for a cocktail-making challenge, the blend is pure bliss, leaving them shaken and stirred.

The spirited blue-eyed tourist from Georgia makes Gabe’s head spin faster than his signature drink, the mermaid sunrise. But he’s determined not to obsess—out-of-towner love stories never last. Tillie agrees. They’ll just enjoy each other for now and make a clean break. No strings. No attachments. No chance. But when Tillie’s kiss goodbye comes with an invitation for Gabe to visit Atlanta, he can’t resist.

This book was the perfect rom-com and beach read. It had an easy flow and storyline. I enjoyed the characters and the relationship that developed between Tillie and Gabe.

Okay I just love this book! Super sweet and light hearted. Tillie & Gabe make a super cute couple and they’re just destined for each other. The meet at Tillie’s sister’s wedding and things go fast from there. Definitely recommend for a light easy read

Tillie doesn’t want anything to upset her sister’s beach wedding and that includes some crabs who decide they would like to upset the ceremony. She decides to take matters into her own hands to keep them away which isn’t met with approval by the sexy bartender.

Gabe doesn’t have much appreciate for visitors who don’t appreciate the island’s way of life but there is something about Tillie that calls to him. What starts out as a competition between two people in the same field turns into a vacation that neither can forget but will their time together end when the vacation does?

Fun and flirty I enjoyed the banter that Gabe and Tillie shared as they realized that what they shared was special and the only way to move forward was to face the past.

it all started with a battle between a tourist and the barman.
Tillie is also a bartender and only for the wedding of her sister on the island. all they have is two weeks.

A cool story with much love and many ontold things and secrets they wanted to always keep.
I had so much fun reading it.

Have fun reading!
