I am so thankful that these little series, with all it's sound effects and child-friendly narrator, was listen on NetGalley. My son and I spent half an hour going through each of these books, and he absolutely loved the magic these stories brought to bedtime. Ocean did a great job keeping his attention while expanding his mind and knowledge. This story offers an exploration in the largest part of our Earth: the ocean blue. It is mysterious and exciting, and a perfect listen before you go on a beach vacation! It was educational and magical, perfect for any toddler!

I really liked the narrator of this book. It had a lot of factual information it. As an audiobook, I think it would need to be used with the actual book for youngsters to be engaged. I do not know that they would be engaged by audio alone.

Not as cute as the others in the series, but this is just my personal opinion.

I listened to this book with my five year old granddaughter. It was a great educational tool and prompted her to ask more questions about the ocean. This book even taught me some things about the ocean that I didn't know. She loved that there was a child in the narration of this book. I am looking forward to listening to other Nerdy Babies books. Thank you to Macmillion Audio, Netgalley and Emmy Kastner for allowing me to listen to this delightful and educational book. I am leaving this review on a volunteer basis.

This audiobook gives random ocean facts in bite size pieces for toddlers. It definitely leans into the nerdy aspect by citing statistics and using lots of advanced words for that age group.

My four year old really enjoyed this nonfiction book! We listened to the audio, and he carried around my phone until it was done. I love how it delivers so many great and interesting facts in such a fun way. The audiobook was fantastic! I could see us listening to these audiobooks on repeat in the car to absorb and memorize the information.

We listened at 1x speed for the audiobook so my kiddo could absorb what was being said.

Thank you Macmillan and NetGalley for this advanced Audio copy.

This is a cute little overview of what the ocean is and some of the animals that live in it. I think 5 minutes is the perfect length to provide some quick entertainment on the go. And I love the child narrators.

Audio Book c.5m

I'm so glad I discovered this delightful series that makes learning fun. The use of children as part of the narration is a real plus. It'll make the information and narration all more relatable to young listeners. Remember, this book is simply an introduction to the topic, not a "throw in every fact possible" reference. It's designed to get the child's attention, yes, but even more to encourage them to be curious and ask questions. As the series goes along, the author repeatedly tells the children to be curious because there's so much more to be learned. No one knows everything, in other words, and we learn by questioning.

Bottom line, the books in this audio version are short and fun, all with sound effects and information made child-friendly. I can just see a parent now, as they listen, explaining in a way the child can understand how far down 7 miles would be. Or, maybe better, getting in a car and driving seven miles as practical explanation.

Thanks #NetGalley and #RoaringBrookBooks and #MacmillanAudio - #MacmillanYoungListeners for making this entertaining yet educational series available. It's a winner.

Loved this! It’s not long so kept my 3 and 5 years old attention. The voices were great, and the little bit of knowledge about the ocean was wonderful.

My kids thought this was a fun little audiobook and enjoyed listening to it with their breakfast. I think there could be a little more excitement and such to make it draw the kids in and keep their attention a little better though.

I absolutely love this series. The narrators are fantastic and make everything easy to digest. I love that childs voices are added in too. This is an awesome way to introduce kids to scientific topics. I found this one about the ocean to be really interesting and I think kids will really enjoy this. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nerdy Babies on audio are great, quick audiobooks for me to play for my kindergartner on quick trips in the car to keep him entertained. It peaks his interest and he asks more questions about the topics he listened to.

I love the addition of sounds and children's voices instead of it being a solo narrator. It adds a bit of whimsy and keeps it from just being an information dump.

The style of these audiobooks is adorable, and the format of having kids ask questions to participate will resonate with children. I like the background music and the content. Just like the others in the series, it seems too short for any purpose I can think of. It seems like it wouldn't be long enough for car rides or bedtimes. I would rather have a compilation of all of the series in one audiobook, with each specific chunk as a chapter.

Nerdy Babies: Oceans (Audiobook) is super neat! The book itself is full of fun facts about the ocean. It’s such a vast topic, so it can be hard to pull out just a few facts, but was enough to get kids interested, and wanting to know more. The audiobook is quick, with an excited narrator—a great voice for kid’s books, with sound effects to make it even more interesting.
