Every baby is born with a theme: safari, ocean, forest... My son's was space. We purchased planet mobiles, astronaut paintings, and star lights. Of the whole series, this book was his favorite. He knows more of these words than any of the others, and recognized enough of the story to actually appreciate it (he is only two). I loved spending time with him listening to this magical little book. I loved how there was something to learn here, beyond the fun storyline. These books are a family favorite!

Good introductory book for both reading and exploration. I love the audio sound effects; makes the book that much entertaining.

I really liked the narrator of this book. It had a lot of factual information it. As an audiobook, I think it would need to be used with the actual book for youngsters to be engaged. I do not know that they would be engaged by audio alone.

I thought this was a fun little overview of space facts for toddlers. I appreciated the mention of Pluto, but I do wish dwarf planets had been mentioned briefly. It's perfect to listen to on a short car ride for a little entertainment.

These audiobooks are so fun! The nonfiction information is great for little minds, and the narrator and sound effects bring it to life, capturing the child audience. Space was a particularly fun options, with so much curiously surrounding the subject.

Perfect for audio listening in the car, or around the house while doing other activities. It can be listened to multiple times without kids getting bored.

Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this advanced audio copy.

The production of this audiobook was fun and cute. I learned a few new fun facts. I'm not sure what the exact purpose of this as an audiobook is. Is it for classrooms? Car rides? The audiobook was only five minutes and didn't come with any other visuals, so I can't review those materials.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced audiobook download in exchange for my honest review.

Audio 5m 30s

"Look up!" The narrator tells us as the book opens. Way, way, way up. Outer Space is way out there. She notes it's quiet in space and the audio background is briefly silent, too, as emphasis, not its usual interesting sound effects or bouncy music. Nice touch. Another fun touch when the child speaks through a microphone and sounds much like the astronauts so far, far away have sounded. Also, the almost awed, breathless way the narrator intones the word "space" itself is another nice touch. Although I only had the audio version, it was easy to follow the cartoon characters as they might appear on the page visiting each planet.

We get a quick look and interesting bit of info on each planet, even Pluto, long such kicked out of the planet club but "we still love you, Pluto", the child affirms. The info is presented in a way children can grasp, such as comparing the time it takes us to get from one birthday to another is the amount of time it takes Earth to orbit the sun. In contrast, Neptune takes 165-earth years to make one circuit of the sun. And, hey, did you know Venus spins backward? True. I have to admit to having to look that one up myself. And, more fun facts.

As in the other books I've reviewed from the series, the author reminds listeners to be curious. To ask questions. To learn. As she notes, astronauts ask questions, too, just like children. I know I learned something from this one, always a big plus to me no matter what the genre.

Thanks #NetGalley and #MacmillanAudio - #MacmillanYoungListeners for allowing me to learn something today. And, thanks to #RoaringBrookBooks for the series. I'm curious to learn when the next one will be available, so it's worked to spike my curiosity and I'm sure it will do the same for the target audience.

Does Jupiter really have 79 moons? Google seems to think there are more. You learn something new every day.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.

My kids thought this was a fun little audiobook and enjoyed listening to it with their breakfast. I think there could be a little more excitement and such to make it draw the kids in and keep their attention a little better though.

I absolutely love this series. The narrators are fantastic and make everything easy to digest. I love that childs voices are added in too. This is an awesome way to introduce kids to scientific topics. I found this one about space to be truly fascinating because I had forgotten a lot of the info presented and found it presented in such a fun way. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nerdy Babies on audio are great, quick audiobooks for me to play for my kindergartner on quick trips in the car to keep him entertained. It peaks his interest and he asks more questions about the topics he listened to.

I love the addition of sounds and children's voices instead of it being a solo narrator. It adds a bit of whimsy and keeps it from just being an information dump.

This is another great book in the Nerdy Babies books. Again, I love the addition to children's voices in these audiobooks. It really helps capture the attention of children. The narrator has a nice and playful voice to keep children interested.
The book itself is great, a simple explanation of space and the solar system that is great for young children.

Although this audiobook is cute, and I love the fact that it provides science information at an age appropriate level, I'm confused by the fact that it's only five minutes long. I anticipated more sounds or songs, since it is designed for babies. The rhymic cadence of the narrator is great for catching their attention and soothing them, but five minutes in an awfully short audiobook.

Nerdy Babies: Space (Audiobook) is very fun! The book is filled with fun facts about space and about the planets in our solar system. The audiobook is quick, with a fun narrator, as well as a few kids for the dialogue! I love that Pluto was talked about, even if it’s not officially a planet anymore, and I loved the part where the kids were talking to each other, with the astronaut radio sound effects.
