Becoming an Artist is a short read with one artist's tips, tricks, and experiences in the world of art. I enjoyed reading his examples of paintings and what made them good or not so good.

The author hopes this book will be beneficial for artists as well as those who just appreciate art. The former can glean help from a seasoned artist, and the later can gain a better knowledge base of what artists go through. The overall message is that you cannot, for the most part, make a living on your art career alone.

There are quite a few grammatical errors throughout the book. (Granted the author is an artist not a English major). And there is some mild language (maybe 3-4 times) in the book as well for those wishing to avoid it.
