This is a super sexy novella by a talented author. It is full of everything you would expect from Rebecca Zanetti. The story kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the world that Ms. Zanetti built as well as the characters she created. Everything was believable and full of life.

I can't help it. I have a thing for cowboys. They can do no wrong, even if they do. I'm a sucker for them so of course I liked this book. Quick, fast, sexy read. Just what I needed.

I previously read this book but loved being able to get it here again. Rebecca Zanetti is a long time favorite author of mine. She is such a wonderful storyteller no matter what kind of story she writes. I adore a good small town romance and Jake and Sophie are such amazing characters. They have oodles of chemistry and I loved their journey to their HEA.

Surveying the proposed site for a high-end golf course should have been a breeze for spunky Landscape Architect Sophie Smith. But when this born-and-bred city girl is suddenly—and quite literally—swept off her feet by a sexy cowboy on horseback, she realizes that the country life has some serious (and seriously steamy!) possibilities. That is, until she finds out exactly who her smokin’-hot wrangler really is.

Cowboy and Tribal lawyer Jake Lodge is desperately trying to block the development. And if that means playing hardball—and being every inch the shark lawyer—so be it. But Sophie is a distraction he didn’t expect. A distraction that makes his blood burn.

Two different worlds. Two opposing sides. And when they finally give into the exquisite temptation, the consequences will shake the foundations of both of their lives…

Against the Wall by Rebecca Zanetti is book One in the Mavrick Montana Series. This is the story of Jake Lodge and Sophie Smith.
Sophia is a landscape architect who has a job to survey land for a Golf course. Jake is a part of the Montana Kooskia tribe in addition to being the Tribal lawyer. Jake's first encounter with Sophie is when he saves her from getting trampled by a horse. Of course it is very romantic meeting I thought but of course it turns award soon enough. Jake and his tribe do not want the Golf course on the lands of course but Sophie has a job to do...along with that both have a strong attraction to each other.
Enjoyed reading their story and look for more from this series / author.

Against the wall😁

Sophie takes off to Maverick Montana in hopes of convincing the locals that her golf course design will be perfect for the land behind the lake. However, as soon as Sophie arrives...other than an encounter with some cowboys and some rejections with regards the project, she falls in love with the town as the people draw her in and make her feel as though she belongs😍

Jake wants Sophie from the minute he sees her but he knows they are on opposite sides. As Sophie endears herself with the community and their people, danger lurks in the background! Looking forward to the other siblings stories❣️A quick shout out to Netgalley for my copy of this book.

This book is very different from the Rebecca Zanetti books that I’ve read recently (mostly romantic suspense). Sophie is an architect in town to start work on her next project. She gets swept off her feet by Jake Lodge literally. He’s a tribal lawyer trying to put a stop to Sophie’s high-end golf course. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop despite being on opposite sides. The small town atmosphere in the book was fun.

I didn't know I read this book before but it was just as hot and good as the first time. Overall solid writing. Ms. Zanetti never fails to delight.

I really enjoyed the setting of this book but the pregnancy trope is probably one of my least favorites. The hero was a bit too domineering for my taste. Seeing him interact with his family redeemed him. As the book progressed, I liked how the relationship between the heroine and the townspeople developed.

Rebecca Zanetti is a romance author who twist a interesting story into around sex fueled desires between Sophie and Jake. The story starts off with a chance encounter as the story moves forward Sophie's dreams are guiding her which creates some humors moments in the story. Rebecca Zanetti writes some very streamy romance novels with chracters who have heart and soul.

I first read and reviewed AGAINST THE WALL in 2014 and when the publisher put the title up on Net Galley, I grabbed it! As I read, I remembered how awesome the story was and how wonderful it made me feel.

Jake and Sophie have amazing chemistry together. Sophie is helpless against the hunky cowboy! The supporting cast are amazing! The townspeople are diabolical in their matchmaking of Jake and Sophie. It’s entertaining and so funny! I enjoyed every word of the story!

If you love sexy, alpha male cowboys too stubborn to quit, then you’ll enjoy the entire Maverick, Montana series! Jake Lodge, his brothers Quinn and Colton and good friend Hawk are brilliantly and exasperatingly written! Their ladies are strong and beautiful and paired perfectly with each cowboy.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I love small town books where everybody is in everybody else's business. And this book did not disappoint! Jake, the hero, is a tall, dark, and very sexy cowboy/lawyer and when he crosses paths with Sophie, the heroine/city girl, the sparks are impossible to ignore! This book was wonderfully written and very exciting! I loved reading about the close knit Lodge-Freeze family and I can't wait to read more about them!

If you love small town books with sexy, stubborn alpha cowboys, then this is the series for you! Rebecca Zanetti is an awesome storyteller and I encourage you to check out her other books!

I am not usually a fan of “cowboy” romances, but I really enjoyed this one. I thought that the characters were real, as was the small-town/tribal feeling of family and togetherness. I liked the double entendre of the title (Sophie references it to Jake in terms of their relations, but it also applies to how Sophie feels about her job and what she dreams of doing). I thought that the “scare” between the two seemed abrupt, but I understand why it was needed as a plot point. Leila belongs in the “Cute Kids in Romances” Hall of Fame, and the epilogue is absolutely swoon-worthy. All in all, an enjoyable, fast-reading romance. Thank you to Entangled Publishing (via NetGalley) for a complimentary digital ARC of this book.

Talk about a sweet but steamy romance! This family and community and couple are adorable. I loved the play on opposite sides, but an overwhelming attraction and building of trust between the couple, family and town. The description of this community is vivid and I would love to see pictures or visit if this place is real! All characters were well developed and quite interesting as they conveyed different view of community groups, roles in development and family dynamics. I enjoyed this story, loved this family and look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you NetGalley, Rebecca Zanetti, and Entangled for the chance to read this story and share my opinions!

Against the Wall by Rebecca Zanetti a five-star read that goes well above par. This will have you smiling so hard at times, the attraction and passion the characters show makes the story. Jake just has a way himself that will make you drool. This may have been my first read by this author, but it wont be the last.

I adored Sophie, she is smart and talented. Jake Lodge, the eldest of the Lodge brothers is an intense, alpha loving, hot sex scenes and totally smitten by Sophie, lawyer. Some action and the town's matchmakers make for an engaging read. 4 Sunshine stars****

I have been exploring the world of romance novels lately, trying to discover what I like. Though I’m a fan of the cowboy and enemies to lovers trope, this one was just an ok read to me. I will say that I read it fast, as the story moved along quickly. One issue I had was with the characterization of native Americans. At points it seemed too stereotypical. Check out this novel if you like cowboy themed books with some steam!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I've never read a book by Rebecca Zanetti but I really enjoyed the cast of characters in this story. Sophie is looking for acceptance and love from the family she never got as she was growing up and Jake Lodge and his extended family fit the bill except that they are opposed to her reason for being there in their town. She's a landscape architect who is planning to place a golf course right were the people of Maverick, Montana don't want it. Definitely a clash of wills! I loved the quirkiness of the Lodge/Freeze families and the townspeople in general and the way they brought Sophie right into their fold. Jake and his daughter might be just what Sophie needs and I loved the combination of vulnerability and strength that Sophie shows throughout the book.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I will want to continue reading more books in this series - I love the author's style of writing and character development.
