Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I liked the premise for the book but I found the story to be disappointing.

Whoooo, this was....
Yea, difficult to describe.
Especially when I really really do not want this to stand out as like a really bad book.
But it kind of was - if not for the potential.
Everything about this story was interesting. The universe and the politics within it, the history, the species, the bond between the main characters.
But it all felt...rushed...flat...not well thought-out.
I feel so bad for giving this a bad review, because after getting through the sort of painful depiction of the main character and her first meeting with the love interest and the slightly unappealing writing, the politics that came up in the last fourth of the story were actually really interesting!
That's what i wanted more of, with nice relationships and good smut sprinkled in between.
But unfortunately i got none of that.
Relationships were either rushed or somewhat...off, flat, just like the characters themselves. The smut was disappointing and short, almost as if the author couldn't quite decide whether to actually write smut or do the teen-book writing around it. But for that, there were far too many scenes sprinkled throughout the admittedly short book, and the main character was far too sex-hungry.
I don't know.
I finished the book. And now I set it aside completely.

I actually enjoyed this read. Unlike some reviews I didn’t see Jane as being mean to Zula. More like people that cared for each other so traded insults. Zula gave as good as she got. Now Janes and Ash’s relationship was hot hot hot! Loved the suspense. Not for anyone under 18

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley, the opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

This was quite a cute story. It was better written and flushed out than I was expecting. By the end of it I was really curious to see what happens next.

I thought the book description sounded extremely interesting. However, for me. I like a semi- slow burn and these characters seemed to just jump right into it! Other than that this book was just okay for me. I am going to give it 3 stars because I really did love the storyline idea was just awesome. Thank you Netgalley and Ava Wixx for allowing me to read the ARC. I greatly appreciate it.

This book tells us about Jane's naughty adventures in space, and indeed they are quite naughty! But what keeps us on the edge of our seats is the desire to find out if she will succeed in completing this quest for identity that troubles her, and if she will finally manage to extricate herself from the predicament she has gotten into. The characters are likable, the adventure is there, and, anyway, everything is better in space. Even... even that! ;)

The premise of the book really intrigued me. A bounty hunter falling for her target?? In space?? Sign me up.

Unfortunately, this didn't quite work for me personally. Right off the bat, Jane rubbed me the wrong way with the way she spoke to Zula. There's a fine line between sassy/fiesty and mean and though I love a super sassy fmc, Jane just came across as mean and unlikable. But I kept reading anyway because I do love character growth. And she's a bounty hunter/captain of a starship so she's bound to be one tough chick so I kept on. And the sci fi elements were enjoyable. I like the different species and world building.

Enter the mmc, Ash. And slow burn this was not. Very insta-attraction, wet dreams... Just yeah there's a lot of spice in these pages. Which is totally cool, I love a sex positive female character. Get it girl. I just don't love the instalove and obsession vibes in my sci fi romances. I know there was a reason for this in the plot, but still. This comes down to a personal preference and not a reflection on the author. She knows her way around some spicy writing.

Overall, I had to shelve this as a dnf because it just wasn't for me.

Thank you Ava Wixx and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this eARC. #netgalley

This was entertaining enough. Fast paced with spice you don't have to wait too long for. Unfortunately, I found the mc to be irritating, and the main couple lacked chemistry. The plot fell a little flat at the end too. Seemed like the mc didn't have to fix any of her problems herself. Just wish the characters and the world would have been a little more well rounded.

Jane Wexis loves her life as a bounty hunter aboard her ship The Pittsburg. When her new bounty Ash goes rogue and gets the slip on her she vows to take him down. Chasing this bounty might lead to a much bigger conflict than she could ever imagine.

Honestly I really liked the bones of the story and plot, but Janes personality was really grating and it felt like her and Ash didn’t have much chemistry. I love the concept of the book but I feel as though it could have been executed better.

3/5

This a fun, quick sci-fi romp. Jane runs a bounty hunter crew and her next planned catch is Ash. These two bicker, flirt, and sex each other up fairly quickly but it fits. Pretty smokin' intimate scenes and just enough interesting side characters to read the next book.

This is a raw, action pack, intense, suspenseful, love story. And it's just that dang good! What can I say Ava does it again! Love that!! On to the next! #HappyReading 💖.
