These books are like crack... or what I imagine crack would be like! Reed and Ella have been a wild ride so far that I never want to get off. The angst, the drama, the SPICE! These two just can't have it easy though and this second book really puts them through the ringer. I loved getting Reed's POV, and the brother's dialogue added some much needed humor is times where the plot became pretty heavy. Author duo, Erin Watt, has really brought out the big guns with this series and I can't get enough of it. I definitely recommend reading in series order and while labeled a YA and the ages of the characters are pretty young, content suggests NA. A definite must read for new adult contemporary fans who enjoy a good family saga and the rich boy/poor girl trope.

oh man. so once I started this series. I couldn't stop.

and I loved the dule POV in this one. it added so much to the story that way.

and really made you see Reed in a new light in my opinion. which makes the ordeal in this one so much more emotional and crazy. and sucks you in. like the ending g yo this one. oh man. I was not prepared haha. for once.
I do give this book props. not even my super awesome spidey senses saw the ending to this book coming haha.

so as you can assume... Ionce again sped through this crazy plot twist of a book. practically glued to my headphones until the last word was said. missing sleep and social interaction haha.

luckily I drive a lot for work. so i have ample time to catch up on audios haha.

I really enjoyed the pace of this book. With some different twists and turns, ending in a complete insane cliffhanger. I need to read the next one in this series now! I love Ella and Reed and I’m invested in their story.

These books are so easy to devour. It's the reading equivalent of reality television for me. Ella and Reed are probably my favorite couple in the series. This is the second of their trilogy and all books in the series should be read in order.

After devouring Paper Princess and Broken Prince, I think it’s safe to say I’m obsessed with this series. The plot is bonkers, the characters are a hot mess, and I can’t get enough! Five stars.

I enjoyed this second installment in The Royals series, though I admittedly didn't like it as much as book one. I loved seeing the characters continue to grow and develop. The Royals have a lot of secrets and complex relationships with one another, and it's interesting to see how the secrets they're keeping continue to impact their relationships, especially among the brothers.

The dialogue and inner monologues continued to be pretty corny for the most part, but it wasn't to the point of me disliking all of it. The drama was a little much for me to handle without some eye-rolling, but I've learned to expect all the drama and then some with the Royals.

Overall, this was a good second book that, much like the first book, ended on a big cliffhanger.

oh my goodness i love this book so much! it is so dramatic and chaotic but i keep devouring them!!!!!!!!!!

This series has me in a chokehold. I never thought I’d be so invested in the lives of high school students, but here we are. And that cliffhanger? Well, cliffhangers make me stabby, but I was definitely not expecting it to shock me the way it did.

I love the Royal family and all their hot mess drama. The storytelling and character development is amazing! I’m absolutely hooked. It’s kind of a cross between a soap opera and the movie Cruel Intentions. It’s my catnip.

Reed, when he decides to stop being a total douchecanoe, is such a marshmallow for Ella. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still all growly and grumpy for everyone else, but I like seeing his softer side when it comes to her. Sigh…I love him.

I’m trying to decide if I should just skip sleeping tonight and rip into the next book, or wait until tomorrow. I already know the answer to this question. Sleep is overrated.

After finishing 'Paper Princess', I dived right into 'Broken Prince'. I had to know what would become of Ella and all of the Royals after that ending. Talk about a cliffhanger! However, this one had a hard time following the not-able-to-put-this-down-ability. Still decent for the series though.

When I started Broken Prince, I had no doubt it would be just as good, if not better than, Paper Princess. I wasn’t disappointed. The writing was just as fantastic, and I was just as hooked. The characters continued to grow in complexity, and I loved learning more and more about them. The plot went places I would never have expected. The witty banter and dialog between the characters got better and better. I fell even more in love with the characters this time around.

Broken Prince picked right back up where Paper Princess ended. I can’t tell you where that is because I’m not going to spoil it for anyone. Just know that there will be major revelations and surprises — and another fascinating cliffhanger! I can’t leave that out. I absolutely loved it this book and I know fans of Paper Princess will, too. If you haven’t started this series yet, do it now! You’re missing out on something amazing!

If you read this book when it was originally released as an indie romance, then you are probably wondering about the exclusive bonus content. It was a fun Q&A with Ella and Reed. I liked it, but it felt like it needed a bit more of an introduction.

In BROKEN PRINCE, Erin Watt throws readers back into the incessantly chaotic world of the Royals. Following the cliffhanger ending of PAPER PRINCESS, readers return to where we left off. After walking in on Reed (her kind of boyfriend, kind of stepbrother) and Brooke, (Reed’s dad’s greedy girlfriend), Ella is still missing and no one knows where she might have gone. The Royals have the best PIs money can buy on the case to track her down, but they’re having trouble locating a heartbroken girl who really doesn’t want to be found. Meanwhile, her absence is tearing the Royals apart—and everyone’s upset at Reed for driving her away, including Reed himself. Will they find Ella and get her to come back home? And is there a future for Ella and Reed if they do? These are the questions at the heart of BROKEN PRINCE.

Readers are also introduced to the first dual POV of the series here, where we get to see things from Reed’s perspective, along with sporadic revisits to Ella’s POV. The back and forth between the two outlooks is structurally less engaging than the sole POV that centered the first book. There’s also something not-so-endearing about Reed’s take on things. Although it does help clarify outstanding questions lingering from the conclusion of the first book, his internal dialogue also reveals how he views women in general, and much of that is riddled with problematic stereotypes. In turn, I found myself being less and less invested in whether he and Ella would ever reunite. Don’t get me wrong—Watt is still definitely the queen of writing scenes that sizzle. (And some of the scenes here are SCORCHING.) Lamentably, the questionable ways she brought Reed’s character to life in BROKEN PRINCE made me flip from rooting for him and Ella to wondering if she wouldn’t be better off on her own.

All in all, this debut doesn’t quite grasp at your attention the way its predecessor did. Still, it hooked me enough that I felt compelled to read it in one sitting—and that alone should serve as a (somewhat) ringing endorsement.

Broken Prince picks up where Paper Princess leaves off. The story starts mostly from Reed’s POV. The readers get to understand who he really is and why he made some of the decisions that he did. He is truly about his family for the most part. His feelings for Ella are legit, but he has some groveling to do to win her back.

I like that Reed didn’t get to win the girl back so easily. The brothers seem to accept Ella’s position in the house now, and I even started to warm up to them. There is a lot of pain and hurt from the past, which slowly comes to the forefront. There is so much to unpack, and the author reveals everything slowly.

Ella still has to deal with the crap from the bullies at school. I know this is young adult/teenage romance, but I’m over the drama with the school setting. I want to skim past it at this point, but I can’t miss a thing.

Callum makes a huge change, and he shocks me towards the end. He is more aware of what is going on than I have given him credit for. I wonder what really happened to him in the past. The women in his life are crazy but without reason. I need their characters and motives to be fleshed out more to understand the chaos surrounding them.

Of course, the drama is over the top. Things really don’t make sense in the real world, but of course, this is fiction, so everything makes sense. Despite this, I am completely hooked on this series. I need to know what is happening with Gideon and a certain person. Can that work itself out? What really happened with Reed that night? How can he get out of it?

Then there is the ending, a surprise twist, and now I must dive into book three without pause. Fans who like YA romance with a darker twist.

This series gets better and better with every page. I'm obsessed utterly obsessed, and I'm going to be so sad once I finish book three.

Broken Prince picks up where Paper Princess left off: Ella has fled from the mansion, her elite prep school, and her job after finding Reed (her not-stepbrother crush and hookup) in bed with Brooke (her guardian’s bimbo girlfriend). Reed is adrift without Ella, and sets out to find her and make things right. Once reunited, she takes a long time to warm back up to him, but ultimately, they cannot stay apart from one another.

A more in-depth look at Reed’s complexity, backstory, and motivations are exposed in this next title in the series, which shares point of view from both Reed and Ella. We get more about the fighting circle, and Reed’s guilt over his mother’s death. His realization that he deserves to be happy and might not have to skip town at the first chance after graduation is real growth.

Watt is adept at informing the reader of which character is speaking without the need for the character’s name at the head of the chapter to give us a clue. It’s careful writing and a testament her strong character development that there is never a question about whose head were are in. The plot is tight, fast-paced, and the book ends on an amazing cliff-hanger.

This series has been extremely addictive so far and I'm not sure I could explain why. Reed Royal never cared about anyone except his family until Ella Harper came into the picture. What started out as resentment turned into something more and all Reed wants now is to keep Ella safe by his side. One mistakes, however, drives Ella out of Reed's grasps and he knows he has royally screwed up. She thinks they are going to destroy each other and she doesn't want anything to do with him anymore, Reed is determined to win her back. This book is full of drama and yet I could not put it down and instantly picked up the next book when I finished this one,

If you took gossip girl multiplied it by 100 you would have this book. I have the hardest time getting past the fact that they are all children.
Tik tok will go nuts over this book but the Alpha, I hate everyone but you trope is not my vibe. I also don't understand, Ella wanting to give Brooke all her money just to get rid of her. Absolutely absurd. Can't wait for twisted kingdom.

Erin Watt knows tension. She grips and doesn’t let go. There are a lot of problematic elements to this series, but here we are.

Broken Prince is the second book of The Royals series and is not a standalone. I don’t know why this series is so addictive, but I can’t stop reading it! This one is nothing but drama and I am here for it! I have so many questions after that ending! Ella is still her sassy self and Reed is still a jerk but at least we are getting his point of view in this book and I am starting to understand why he is the way that he is. We do get some answers but are left with more secrets to be revealed and even more questions that I need answers to! And that ending has me itching to start book three right now!

This book series is not without it's flaws but is cumplsively readable. Couldn't put it down. Now that our characters are getting closer and closer to legal age it's easier to stomach but it's still written wonderfully.

After the way Paper Princess ended I had to pick up Broken Prince right away. I loved the way these characters have developed over the first book. I thought they were bratty, ungrateful, hateful children (I mean they still are kinda) - but the found family aspect of the book really had me rooting for the Royals.

I tension and angst between Ella and Reed was on another level in Broken Prince. I was rooting for them to be together even though they had so many hurdles to get through.

As always - Easton brought all the laughs - I love his character!

The way Erin Watt leaves us hangin! I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
