IT'S AN ADORABLE GRAPHIC NOVEL ABOUT DOGS PLAYING DND WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?

DnDoggos: Get the Party Started by Scout Underhill is a graphic novel about dogs playing dnd. Four adorable dogs are tail-waggingly excited to play their favorite role-playing game in DnDoggos: Get the Party Started, the middle grade graphic novel debut from online comic creator Scout Underhill. They've picked their characters and favorite dice, and are ready to set off on the adventure their game master Magnus has created for them. Pickles, a rough and tumble fighter; Tonka, a playful and fun-loving bard; and Zoey, a wise and caring cleric, are given a quest to fetch a magical dog collar from a nearby swamp. But when they triumphantly return, they soon find that the collar isn't the only thing that has gone missing from Tail's Bend. All the squeaky toys in town have disappeared and Squish, the mayor's young son, has set off on his own to find them. It's up to the Doggos to rescue Squish, track down the missing toys, and save the day!

Just read this. You'll thank me later.

DNDoggos is a graphic novel with 4 dogs who are playing D&D. First, I want to say that I did not realize that this was based off a webcomic that has been around for awhile. In the beginning of the story *ahem* adventure, I thought it was cute, but a bit goofy. I didn't think that it would appeal to the older kids and would probably be sitting at a middle to upper elementary range. As the story went on it developed into something that legitimately would show kids how fun it could be to play D&D. How you get to be creative, work as a team, and just have lots of fun. The story not only became an adventure for the 4 characters, but it retained the silliness you would expect from dogs. Overall, very well done!

SO FREAKING ADORABLE! Follow along as four adorable dogs play a game of DND and save a village from a betrayal that has pups and squeaking toys in danger!
I had such a fun time reading this, and learning about the different dogs. Magnus, Pickles, Tonka and Zoey are all adorable additions to the lore of DND and I can't wait for their next adventure.

This book is funny, cute, and a great introduction for readers new to Dungeons & Dragons. (It also has some fun in-jokes for those more familiar with the game.) Highly recommend.

Eh, it’s cute! I think the audience probably isn’t the broadest. If you’re a gamer parent with a small child who’s interested in RPGs but still a bit young for them it explains the game in a very wholesome young child friendly way. You won’t hate having to read it to them and they can start to understand the game.

This graphic novel is a great introduction to tabletop roleplaying for kids. It demonstrates the sillyness, mistakes, and fun that can all take place during a gaming session. The artwork is clean, vibrant, and expressive. The language is simple and easy to follow.

This was a super cute graphic novel about dogs who play Dnd and it was really easy to follow even though I don’t have any knowledge of Dnd. I really like the juxtaposition of them in the real world playing and the depiction of what they were doing on their quest which was super fun to read and see. It was so funny how much Pickles kept get scolded by Zoey since she kept asking if they were going to get paid for their quest or rescue. This was would be the perfect book for any kid who is just starting out playing dnd since it gives a rudimentary explanation of what they are doing and the dice and at the end Magnus gives you gaming tips.

This was a super cute and fun D&D themed graphic novel! I absolutely love all the dog characters and the adventure and shenanigans they find themselves involved with. There were a lot of great D&D and dog references and jokes throughout that made me laugh.

The way everything is explained within the story also makes it an excellent book to introduce someone to D&D, especially younger readers. I will definitely be recommending this to kids at the library and I hope Scout writes more adventures with these characters!

Four dogs start a DnD adventure together. Their first mission is to get Squish, a little dog who ran off to have an adventure, back from a gang of bad dogs.

I loved this so much! It did a great job of introducing DnD mechanics in a kid friendly way, and each of the dogs had their own fun personalities, even outside of their role-play character. I really hope there are more in this series because it was just delightful!

A quick-paced graphic novel that works as both a baisc gameplay primer and a cute adventure story. With little prior knowledge of DnD, I was glad that the game storyline and the real world conversations were set up to make the game understandable. The story begins with the players already somewhat familiar with DnD and mostly aware of how their game characters can behave and interact. Readers totally new to DnD may need some extra explanations; for example, character building isn't discussed in this book. I will recommend this book to readers who are curious how the game works.

Okay, this was super cute. Very cheesy, but it could be a great way to introduce Dungeons & Dragons to the younger audience. It explains a lot of the technical parts of DnD and how to play a beginner campaign. There were multiple parts I thought were quite funny and some were very relatable. And they're all dogs!

If you have a culture of D&D at your school that is super strong, this would be a good choice. It presupposes a lot prior knowledge of the game. It's cute, but I don't have a lot of D&D fans, so will pass on purchase at this time. This is based on a web comic. (https://www.scoutunderhill.com/dndoggos)

A very adorable D&D story with cute dogs! Definitely a must-read for younger audiences getting into D&D.

Cute, but perhaps too cutesy. It was just a little too twee for my tastes. I felt it lacked substance and seems to be in-between audience ages.

DnDoggos: Get The Party Started is the perfect companion for families or kids who are interested in Dungeons and Dragons. It's a cute, fun adventure and is told in a way that feels very similar to real DnD campaigns.

The graphic novel switches between showing the players and their characters, taking time for the players to ask questions and explain what they are doing or how something works. There is even a section where Game Master Magnus explains some of the things they've been using throughout the story: what rolling with advantage or disadvantage means, what the different dice are, etc.

Dungeons and Dragons has had a boom in popularity recently, and this will be a great book to pick up for anyone who either wants to start playing and wants to see what it's like and how it works, or for anyone who just wants to read a cute adventure about some doggos playing a role playing game!

This was so hecking cute I could scream! I am just getting into Dungeons and Dragons and still learning how things work so this was not only an adorable story but taught me quite a bit about the game.
This is absolutely perfect for kids getting into the game or even those who love the game and just want a fun story. The art style is adorable and the game play is easy to understand but still follows a pretty normal campaign layout. The characters are also really cute and fun. This is definitely one I would recommend and plan to reread myself.

Absolutely precious. A very cute story, and an excellent way to introduce children to D&D and very likely to get them interested in running their own campaign.
