Sex Ed was so funny that I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants, stopping only to follow Kristen Bailey on Instagram and buy all of her books as well. If you have a sense of humor, aren't a prude, and like a rom com, grab some wine and dive in.

This was such a hilarious, laugh-out-loud rom-com. Ed and Mia have been best friends since they started teaching at the same school. But when Mia learns that Ed is a 28-year-old virgin, it becomes her mission to teach him all the skills he needs to land the new math teacher. The book was somewhat predictable, however, it was sweet and funny.

This book is BRILLIANT!!
Honestly, I did not think I could laugh so much reading a book. There were actual tears, my husband wondered what was going on, said he's not seen me laugh like that in ages.
Sex Ed is such a fun, entertaining, hilarious read. The main characters Ed and Mia are just fab. They're total opposites but work so well together. I also loved that Beth and Lucy feature, I'm a huge fan of the Callaghan sisters ♥️
I also really enjoyed the interactions and banter with the students in school, too funny but all just so naturally funny which is what I love about Kristens writing, the humour is always brilliant and so well done, it just flows without feeling forced. Love it!
By far my favourite book this year and I can't imagine another book making me laugh so much (apart from maybe her next book)

This is my first time reading a book by Kristen Bailey and I can confidently say that I'll be exploring more of her work in the future. Throughout the story, I found myself laughing so hard during many scenes and the execution of the best friends falling in love trope was brilliant. Mia and Ed, were both endearing characters and the evolution of their friendship into something more felt organic. Additionally, the side characters added a lot of charm to the story, I particularly wish there was more of Donna's presence.

However, for a book that heavily focuses on sex, those scenes could've been done better, as they came across as somewhat unnatural. Also, I couldn't help but feel that the epilogue fell a bit short. Personally, I enjoy when romcom epilogues provide updates on all the characters, even if it's just a quick one-liner. Setting aside those minor points, the chosen location, workplace setting, and clever title all contribute to making it a fantastic romcom read.

Funny story with some unexpected twists and turns. It was definitely a fun read, just not appropriate for a classroom.

Sex Ed is a roaring good time. I absolutely loved Ed and Mia's friendship and the development of their relationship over the length of the book. The best part is that the book had me laughing out loud from the very beginning.

Sex Ed is a highly entertaining friends to lovers, opposites attract rom com. Ed and Mia are both likable and, in some ways, very relatable characters. Bailey approaches them in a very open and caring way. In addition, her approach to sex is honest, open, and very positive. There is no shame attached to the subject especially in regards to the characters and their sexual backgrounds. I think this is something that tends to be missing in some romance books.

Bailey also has a very unique way of writing sex scenes. They are very playful and at times a bit awkward. This is completely in line with the characters and the story that's been built. Overall, it adds to the story and these scenes flow nicely into the context of the book. As is common in Bailey's stories, the characters and plot has a lot of respect and heart. Overall, a great read and one I would highly recommend.

This book was very funny, I really enjoyed it and was sad when it ended!

Ed and Mia are secondary school teachers and are like chalk and cheese personality-wise, but are also best friends. English teacher Mia is a bit ditsy, she forgets her lunch (and often has to steal Ed's), enjoys a night out, frequents Tinder, dresses like a student and often comes to school with a hang-over. Biology teacher Ed is more straight-laced, mostly wears M&S shirts and chinos, prefers a movie night in at home with his cat Nigel for company, is a master baker (!) and loves house plants.

After Mia persuades him to drink shots at an after school pub session a drunken Ed admits to her that ironicly, despite his school subject specialism, he is inexperienced in the bed department! Worrying that at 28 he is becoming a sad cat Dad he seeks sex and relationship advice from his friend.  Can she help him to win over the new pretty, Alice band-wearing Maths teacher Caitlin?

This is a fab read, I really enjoyed the writer's tongue in cheek style and look forward to reading more from Kristen!

This book was absolutely hilarious! It's a story of a truly deep friendship between Mia and Ed. One particular evening whilst out drinking with colleagues, Mia encouraged Ed to take some Tequilas over to Caitlin whom he had become attracted to. It was away of trying to relax him and make him look cool It was very early for tequila and as a direct result of this he ended up with his head down the loo at Mia's feeling dreadful. He admitted to Mia that he was still a virgin at 28. She had experienced many funny encounters and so she offered to help Ed how to become 'sexually proficient'. This book has details, it doesn't hold back, it's funny, it's shocking but not in a perverted way and refreshing! The amount of times my partner said 'what are you giggling at?' When I was in bed listening to the audiobook. This really was a laugh out loud book! This was also my first book of Kristen Bailey's, its definitely not going to be my last!
The narrator was perfect for this genre. She WAS Mia, a perfect match in my opinion. When she did the other voices they were fabulous too. It makes a huge difference to have a good narrator.
Get this book or audio, preferably the latter it's hilarious. This is the summer read!

This spicy romantic comedy is the perfect cheeky summer read. The characters are, as you'd expect from Kristen, funny, likeable, and highly relatable. I also loved that Beth and Lucy, from the Callaghan sisters, made an appearance. I miss those girls! Congrats Kristen, it's another hit! Five stars.

A highly enjoyable read! I loved Mia and Ed and you just wanted to see if Mia would really act on her feelings and if Ed would realize Mia was perfect for him! I highly recommend this as a great escape read.

This book was a very fun and quick romantic comedy that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I loved the fact that it started with flashbacks to the two main characters' first times (or attempts at first times), as it set the mood for the whole book. I liked the use of the two narrators; while the story was mostly about Ed, I found Mia's perspective and point of view and sisterly relationships to be very fun to read and learn about.

I also loved the fact that both Mia and Ed are teachers - that made the whole teaching plot line even more fun to me. And I think this is one of those 'teaching relationship' books that wasn't completely cringey to me and the characters were able to pull it off without it being awkward, which I really appreciated.

The only glaring problem I had with this book was with the character of Caitlin - maybe I missed this part, but I feel like Caitlin and Ed never had the conversation about what they were to each other and whether they were exclusive or not, so I found it very weird that she immediately became the villain because she was also with Tommy. Of course, she should have been painted as a villain for those other things that she did, but that felt really out of pocket, especially coming from Mia, who was so casual-sex-positive.

Overall, a very fun friends to lovers romance that I enjoyed!

This was a cute book. It wasn't necessarily an original concept but it was done quite well.

Mia and Ed have been friends for years - - ever since they began teaching together years before. And that's it - - they're friends....just friends. Of course they could never be more than friends, right? Until one day it seems that maybe they could be and it confuses everything.

A very well-done and inventive friends to lovers with a few small twists along the way.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: The narration was done well. It was an enjoyable audiobook that kept my attention. 4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

I have to confess I couldn’t finish this. I like easy unchallenging fare as much as the next person but the language was just a bit too silly even for me. I have never spoken like this and don’t know anyone who does.

“ I take my phone out of my bag. Is it too soon to text the hot man I snogged outside the concert venue? Possibly. There was definitely some charm about him, potential, a very grabbable arse”
