This book was hilarious, no lie. I actually laughed out loud while reading. My husband looked at me funny because he didn't understand why I kept laughing. (He's not a big reader, so he just doesn't understand.) I want to host a book club with this book. My patrons will absolutely love this book just like I did!

Wow, I loved this! I was able to read it in less than 2 days. It had me laughing out loud from the prologue on! The characters were so well done, you love some and you hate some (iykyk.) I absolutely adored Mia and Ed! The premise of the book was one that I had ever read before! Before reading I thought the title was clever but after reading I was able to fully appreciate the title for what it was! Hello Sex ED(ucation!) This is my first but definitely not my last Kristen Bailey book. If you are looking for a quick read that will make you laugh out loud this book is for you.

Mia and Ed teach at a London senior school, her English and him Biology. She’s one of the cool teachers but she’s always been kind and caring to strait laced Ed. He’s 28, but never had a serious relationship and also never done the deed. When Mia finds out, she offers to help him, but soon their friendship is threatened by his burgeoning relationship with new teacher Caitlin.

I read and adored Kristen Bailey’s Callaghan Sisters series, and love this cheekily-titled side story with cameo appearances from two of the sisters. Mia and Ed’s story is heartwarming, kind and brings a cute route to a friends to lovers story. The supporting characters and Mia’s time spent at the community centre with the local oldies adds to her caring character. Ed’s calm and consistent, a great baker and takes Mia’s tips very seriously. I adored the ease between the two and the way that the teens at their school were rooting for them. It’s another fun and entertaining read from Kristen! ❤️

Kristen Bailey is my comfort blanket for when I need to resign from this world and learn how to laugh again. Sex Ed is a hilarious and heartfelt book that touched me in many ways (yes, I know what I typed). Firstly, our leads Mia and Ed are teachers! The protagonists couldn't be opposites as Mia thrives on social interactions, Tinder and has a direct relationship with sex. Compared to our wallflower, structured and "he must be protected at all costs", Ed has had nothing but a cold relationship with sex. A drunken confession leads to Mia showing Ed the ropes regarding sex, but this discovery process leads to both wanting something more. Leave it to the author dedicated to making readers cackle and snort. The banter between the characters is well-written, and the interactions with the students at school hit close to home (I am a teacher myself). For long-standing Kristen Bailey fans, BETH AND LUCY ARE HERE!! My heartstrings were tugged like a harp on reading their interactions with Mia. The ending was delightful and heartfelt. Overall, if you're looking to laugh, or yearning for something romantic or uplifting, give this book a go!

Sex Ed is a charming and delightful Rom com that had me laughing out loud throughout.
Mia decides to educate her friend Ed when she finds out he is a virgin. Through the process they discover much more about each other than they realized.
The characters are very likable and I enjoyed the banter as the education continues. This book is a modern take on When Harry Met Sally and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Romance novels are not my usual choice but I’m very glad I took a chance on this book.

This was such a fun engaging read. The characters felt real and I really enjoyed the friendship between Ed and Mia. I also enjoyed the premise of Ed being a virgin and Mia agreeing to help him out by training/teaching him what he needs to know. As is the case with all these types of scenarios in novels feelings develop and when it is time for Ed to go out into the world and he starts dating the new math teacher, things get complicated.

Bailey does a wonderful job crafting a believable, bumbling, romance! Ed is a lovable adult who has never had sex. When his co-worker Mia finds out, she is determined to give him lessons so that when his workplace crush reveal her interest, Ed will be ready and very skilled. The banter between Ed and Mia was very endearing and the clear chemistry was great!

Oh wow, I love this novel by author Kristen Bailey. The story. she tells and the characters that she writes about were utterly fantastic.

We meet Ed and Mia, co-workers at a school and brilliant best friends - if I had an Ed or Mia as my best friends then I think my social life would be bloody fantastic.

Ed has a secret - he is a virgin, Mia is the complete opposite and is very sexually liberated. Mia decides to take it upon herself to get Ed to have his first sexual experience and so begins the story that is full of laughs, some quite OMG moments and just a wonderful story.

I literally started t was hooked, it was like watching the best comedy of my life and I really hope author Kristen Bailey writes another novel about these fabulous characters.

If you love an amazing story, a good laugh and the "I wish these were my best friends" then give Sex Ed a go - it is a fantastic novel.

A new (to me) author, chose this book as a possible vacation read. Once I started, I got hooked and finished it in a little more than a day

What a clever title! <i>Sex Ed</i> is about a man named Ed(!), who drunkenly admits to his best friend Mia that he is a 28 year old virgin. After the shock of hearing this news, Mia —a much more experienced and casual sexual being— offers to pop Ed’s cherry and teach him what she knows. Ed and Mia are major opposites. Ed is introverted and shy in social situations; Mia is brash and has no filter, but they’ve been besties for 5 years since they both started at the same school as teachers.

Then a new teacher arrives at their school and Ed is immediately smitten with her. So Mia does her best to get them together while teaching him some <i>sexy time</i> skills on the side so he has something to bring to the table when Ed eventually, hopefully, starts dating this new woman. Then of course things get complicated...

This was a fun, silly and cringey/awkward in the best, most relatable way about your first time. I expected more spice (I mean, that title!) so I was a little disappointed in that aspect. There were only a couple “on the page” scenes. However, I think the way the author portrayed sex in different situations, from different perspectives was eloquently done.

Even though this was dual POV, I think Ed was the main focus and Mia the catalyst and I was okay with that. I do wish there were more “lessons” scenes though and less inner dialogue since it caused a few lulls for me, but I liked the growth that I saw in Ed. I think the side characters were the best; Beth, the senior center, the kids: they definitely upped the <i>feels</i>. And you knew exactly who the “villains” were.

The characters and the plot were a bit predictable, but still enjoyable. <b>If you’re looking for a friends to lovers romcom, this is the book for you!</b>

A fantastic read, another excellent novel from Kristen Bailey. A fun romantic comedy with excellent characters, you find yourself being drawn into. Ed is a virgin and with the help of his best friend Mia resolves to remedy this, cue lots of fun, laughs, naughty situations, an engaging story and a cat called Nigel.
The only disappointment is the book is not long enough and it leaves you wanting to read more of Ed and Mia story. A very enjoyable read, I highly recommend both this and Kristen's other books.

This was my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. Mia and Ed are fantastic characters and I loved their friendship. Mia is so loud and so not afraid of being herself, I loved how she saw Ed for who he was and tried to push him out of his comfort zone so he could have the life he really wanted but felt trapped- a victim of his own making. Ed, likewise sees Mia for who she is, he sees her insecurities and all the things she thinks she hides, and silently he supports her and champions her. I loved watching their friendship grow and seeing them exploring sex and feelings and finally seeing what was in front of them all along, each other.
Lots of laugh out loud moments with some very relatable characters.

I don't recommend reading this book on public- you will find yourself laughing uncontrollably and that's never a good look! I fell totally in love with Ed, our shy , repressed biology teacher and his polar opposite Mia , his best friend and teacher of all things sexual. What Mia didn't reckon on, was while teaching him how to be every woman's dream lover, she was too slow to realise that he was the one she'd been searching for all her life. Seeing him falling in love with the horrible Caitlin and the subsequent fallout ,found her having to step back from their friendship.
On paper, Mia is a mess; chaotic, messy, loud and embarrassing but she is a steadfast loyal friend, committed and caring teacher and loving sister. .even though her older sisters don't always appreciate her qualities!
This is such a refreshing book. It's raw, honest, funny and insightful. I love it.

I was such a fan of this book from start to finish (which only took a couple of hours, hooked is an understatement). Gave me huge Where Rainbows End vibes, except it was extremely satisfying that the wait for the inevitable wasn’t too long or drawn out. Lots of character development helped you feel invested in the characters and their lives and you found yourself rooting for them the whole time.

So, my honest review is as follows...I couldn't quite make my mind up about this book let alone the star rating. I really wanted to love it, but there was something stopping me from giving it the full 5 ☆s.

The characters are fun, especially Donna...she so deserves a book of her own. Then there's the two main protagonists - Mia the mouthy, over sharer of her sex-scapades to her best friend/ work colleague, nerdy Science teacher 28yr old virgin Ed
When Ed is introduced to Caitlyn, the new Math teacher, in the staff room his head is turned. Playing the role of wingwoman to her best friend, Mia takes it upon herself to help Ed win Caitlin's "affections". This goes one step further when Ed drunkenly lets slip he's still a birgin at 28. Mia agree's to teach Ed everything sex related. It was a little cringey at times, but don't get me wrong there were equally some laugh out loud points...the fan experience really had me chuckling (did this happen to someone the author knew or was it purely fictional?...regardless, my god it was funny...poor guy.
Some of the characters were more likeable than others...I couldn't stand Caitlin when she was first introduced, there was just something about her. I was disappointed that she didn't really get her comeuppance at the end. The other character was the PE teacher, a sterotypical movie jock...basically a massive d*ck who thinks he's gods gift and walks around like he owns the place.

It was lovely to read how Ed's character evolved from the reserved and quite shy doormat character to a more confident (not quite alpha male) who stands up to the jock and has his pupils back him fully.

Its an easy read and a nice introduction to Kristen Bailey's work. Enjoy

Mia and Ed are best friends. They work at the same school. Mia is worldly wise and Ed a virgin. Mia sets about trying to help Ed out with his love life. Although a predictable storyline it was highly addictive. Many a time I found myself reading out quotes to my holiday companion. Cried while laughing at fan boy.
So many enjoyable moments in this book. It will have you laughing out loud.

I LOVED this book!! Bailey has a fantastic way of developing characters. Mia shines, Ed is dependable, lovable, and brave. Usually in dual-POV I have a preference, but that is not the case here. I enjoyed reading both perspectives.

Bailey employed perfect pacing, has a great sense of humor, and really was able to use both in this book. Would highly recommend!
