Sex Ed is spicy rom-com between Mia and Ed. Ed's still virgin, and Mia wanted to be volunteer as his teacher in sex education, such as how to do foreplay and seduce his partner etc. However, their relationship was developed and the story goes....

I have love-hate relationship with Mia. Sometimes she's so annoying, but at the same times she could be funny. I was assuming she's took advantage from Ed.

In other hand, is Ed. Everytime I read his inner monologue, I can't stop laughing. Although his humor actually is dry (rip my sense of humor).

About the story, I find it a bit cringe when it came to "Sex Education" part. It just, I am not accustomed with vulgarity like that.

Overall, this book is funny and light if you struggling in reading slump. Because you'll get hook in the first chapter.

At first I found the character of Mia really annoying and likeable. She seemed to take advantage of Ed a lot and didn’t respect his routines. However I grew more used to her the more we gained insight into her personal life.

The story didn’t quite carry the message I was hoping for but it was still a fun, hilarious and heart-warming read

Sex Ed by Kristen Bailey was the perfect spicy romcom to kick off summer for me! I am a big Kristen Bailey fan, and this lived up to my expectations! The title refers to the educational topic and also to Ed, a science teacher who could use a little education in that subject. His good friend Mia, an English teacher, is well versed in the topic and willing to help him out as he tries to win the affections of Caitlin, the math teacher. As a teacher, some of the school stories made me laugh as much as the main plot. It is a fun book! Side note - the vocabulary is pretty explicit but I prefer that over talking around the subject or using silly words instead of the actual terms. What a hysterically fun book. I was hooked from the first page and looked forward to reading it every night. This is a friends-to-lovers trope with a twist because Mia is teaching Ed about sex and Mia's iconoclastic thinking is really a breath of fresh air. Mia views sex as fun, creative and uninhibited. Also, she's hilarious and the situations she and Ed have found themselves in are some of the funniest I've ever read. Ed is a lovely character who has his own sense of wit and humor. Their love story is very satifying and the end warmed my heart in a very 80's rom com kind of pink bow way. Grab this one. True to form, Kristen Bailey sparkles.

Sex Ed is funny, romantic, keeps you on your toes, and spicy! At first I wasn’t sure I was going to love this book. However within just a few minutes later I was sucked in and finished it in one sitting! Anyone who likes romantic comedies and doesn’t mind some spice will love this book!

Mia and Ed are best friends. They've worked together for years and take care of each other. She's a hot mess; he makes sure she eats. Then a wild night of tequila shots leads to Ed confessing he's a virgin and Mia does what any good friend would do...she volunteers to fix his problem.

I love how Ed and Mia haven't been secretly in love with each other for years. Their attraction manifests during the story, and the light shines on little aspects of it here and there so the characters and really grow together. I was disappointed that Ed still pursued another woman after Mia's tutelage even though that was the entire reason why she was teaching him, but I was also excited that he'd gained the confidence to go after what he wanted!

Ed's internal monologues are what make Sex Ed the fantastic, sweet, spicy book it is. He has a dry sense of humor that makes you cackle throughout the book even as you want to reach in and give him a bear hug.

The fan. The toy. His declaration that he needed to pivot. Fan. Flipping. Tastic.

A really great read, full of laughter, romance and cheeky bit of naughtiness. 2 Teachers friends, he needs help in the romance department and of course it makes them realise there true feelings. There was certainly a couple of little twists I wasn't expecting, there was some funny banter between them.
I really enjoyed both of the main characters.

I look forward to reading more from this author because I really did enjoy this one.

Right from the very beginning i was drawn in to the hilarious scenes that unfolded and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough as i just had to find out what was going to happen next.

Ed is still a virgin at 28 years old. Mia and Ed are best friends. Mia decides to teach Ed all the skills he needs to be able to seduce but somewhere along the way feelings develop…

This was a wonderful, feel-good, hilarious rom com and definitely left me with a huge smile on my face - i loved it!!

I do generally like a good RomCom as a palate cleanser in between the thrillers I read most often. This one had potential, but missed the mark.

The premise was great. Mia and Ed are teachers at the same school and are also best friends. Mia finds out Ed is still a virgin and offers to help teach him what he needs to know about sex because he is interested in the math teacher, Caitlin. This begins Ed’s sex lessons. Those scenes were awful. They were so cringy and awkward to read. I’m all for a good sex scene in a book. They can be descriptive and well done. But the scenes with lessons were terrible. It was so cringy it felt almost embarrassing to continue reading.

The rest of the book was good and I did like the author’s general writing style. I might give her another chance because this was the first book I read by her and I’m hoping her others are better. I didn’t hate the book overall, but the sex lesson scenes with Mia and Ed were just not well done.

When I saw there was a new Kirsten Bailey book out, I jumped at the chance to review it because I knew that there would be a brilliant story ahead with laughs in abundance and this is exactly what I got.

English teacher Mia and Biology teacher Ed are complete opposites and best friends. Mia finds out one drunken night that Ed is a virgin and proceeds to help change that. The characters in the story are strong, Kirsten Bailey has a knack of writing about characters that you want to be best friends with.

If you want a book to make you laugh out loud, this is the book for you along with all the others books Kristen Bailey has written. They are always a treat to read and hysterical as well, if you haven't read those, make sure to add your list!

I really found the premise of this book very instresting and was definetly intrigued to learn more about Mia and Ed's relationship. I feel like the book was able to encapsulate what it set out to do well. In this case the friends to lovers was believable and it was clear to see the moment that made the both of them change their mind about their feelings for the other.

Their story was really fun and intresting, however, I feel like at times the pace could've been a tad faster moving the story along better. I had some probelms with Caitlin but I feel like that was her job and other than that this is a solid read about a book set out in london.

It is perfect for those whole enjoy: friends to lovers, sex "teaching", INTENSE slowburn, work place collegues and teachers who care so deeply about their students.

SEX ED might be one of the funniest title puns I’ve seen so far! Ed (the character) is a virgin. Mia is definitely not, although from the sound of it, her sex life hasn’t been all that satisfying anyway. After Mia’s shock wears off, she offers sex lessons to Ed to help him get the new girl at their school where they teach. Mia and Ed have an opposites attract thing going on, and the alternating chapters in their voices make clear just how different they are. It’s especially awesome to see that Ed is the inexperienced one here, but despite that, he doesn’t just fumble around—he asks questions and is clearly learning! There’s a lot of background plot lines happening in this book; at their schools, with Mia’s volunteering, with Ed’s mum and Mia’s sisters, and sometimes it felt overwhelming to keep track of everything, but it did paint Mia and Ed as fully human whose lives continue to go on, even as they are figuring out their situation together.

This book was freaking hilarious! I was seriously cackling at some lines. I went into it with expectations of a light, funny romance and that is exactly what this is. I loved the relationship between Mia and Ed. Their banter was so entertaining and it was great to see how much they both grew by the end.

I will also say there was one particular character that I hated so much. To the point I actually wanted to throw my kindle. They were the absolute worst. I wish there was a little more resolution at the end of the book. I feel like they were awful but didn’t have any consequences for what they did.

Overall this was a quick, fun read. Definitely recommend if you want a good laugh.

This is the first book I have read by Kristen Bailey and I am now a loyal fan and will be buying her other books! This is your basic romcom style book with it's usual tropes in addition to some spicy fun whilst also being sweet and romantic. The character development is perfect and it doesn't take you long to be rooting for the two best friends to eventually fall in love.

This book is really sex positive and a pleasant read where it can be somewhat relatable, especially with some of the descriptive past sex experiences by Mia one of our main characters.

Sex Ed is a perfectly naughty romcom and would recommend to everyone who wants a fun read.
