I read the first page or so and knew I wasn't going to vibe with this due to descriptions etc. I have rated 1 star due to having to enter a rating, but I wouldn't rate due to not reading the whole thing normally.

The Springfest Sprint was a very fun and fast read! If you like novellas that jump straight into the action, this one is for you. The story follows Ember, a Seelie faerie who has reached the age at which she is expected to find a mate. She must participate in the traditional Springfest Sprint, in which the male fae will try to claim the person they're interested in. Unfortunately, Ember isn't interested in being claimed. She goes in with quick wits and a plan to hide until it's over. To her surprise, an Unseelie male is in her chosen hiding spot, and Ember feels an immediate connection to him.

I really enjoyed Ember as the main character. She has a strong, consistent personality that made me root for her. I also felt that Typhon was a strong love interest, and his being posed as a foil to the other males in the story was really effective. This book is short, sweet, and spicy. If you enjoy fae and something a bit steamy, then this is a book you'll like!

So I requested this from Netgalley a while ago, and I'm gutted it took me so long to read it! I really enjoyed it! I really liked Ember and it was short, and spicy! (That end scene 🔥) I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

This book does have elements of dubious consent. Not between the main characters but the whole sprint is somewhat of a forced mating ritual. this was a quick entertaining read where the main character is feisty and wants to marry on her own terms but that isn't an option. There isn't a lot of depth with this book but that would be hard to do in a novella. The romance doesn't feel rushed even though it is a very short timespan between meeting and falling. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the read and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick enticing read.
i received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

The cover design is gorgeous and that is what drew me in at first.

The Springfest Sprint was a quick, fun, and spicy fantasy novella! Although it wasn't bad and has lots of potential. I didn't really like it. There was almost no character or world-building as to what in the what is going on who in the who is who or anything else. It’s plain spice and if you like that then you’ll love this but it’s not for me. 2.5 stars

this book was kindly given to me as an arc through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

this was fuuuuun, such a quick spicy fae story.

with 100 pages, we got lore, we got plot, action and multiple spice scenes. were they the most spicy and best ever? no. were they goooood? yes, yes indeed

i'll just say the spring court "bonding" culture is very icky but thankfully we aren't participating in that

Big thanks to Georgie Monroe and netgalley for the eARC in exchange for a review.

This was a shorter, quick read featuring fae and a ritual that is less than consensual.

I enjoyed the strong female lead trying to get out of a patriarchal tradition and enjoying herself with whom she decides

4 stars

First of all, a massive thank you to NetGalley for the ebook arc.

Now on to the good stuff.
This book drew me in with its cover. What can I say? I judge books by their cover.
The description was the secondary indicator that this story was right up my alley and it did not disappoint.
This story was funny, fast-paced, and highly entertaining.
Forbidden romance? Check
Fairy smut? Check
Witty banter? Check
Does the story feel a little rushed at times? Yes, but seeing as it is such a short little novel, I really can't complain.
I'm now a Georgie Monroe fan and will be keeping my eye out for further releases.
Looking forward to following and seeing more of Donovan in the future!!

I wasn’t completely sure what to expect with this story but found it intriguing. It was a quick fun read which anyone who enjoys this genre should like.
You get a feel for the main characters quickly and the author does well to describe things in a way that keeps the story moving at its intended pace.

Thank you so much for the ARC. This book was so much fun to read. Ember is a feisty princess, determined not to marry the sloppy kisser who wants her. She meets a stranger and sparks fly. This was a fast read and so much fun.

This book was exceptionally detailed for being such a short book! I literally couldn't stop thinking about it and that honestly took me by surprise. The spice was top tier, the whole concept was incredible, and it put a very hot twist on the classic Seelie vs Unseelie stories we all know.

Big thanks to netgalley and the author for giving me an ARC for this novella!

I personally enjoyed the quick and short read. I haven't been the biggest fans of novellas but I've stumbled across this one and I like how quick and direct that novellas can get. The Springfest Sprint, however, is more than just directness and having the straight to the point aspect of any novella. The spice is pretty good and I didn't have a hard time reading this like at all.

A really fun, super quick, spicy read. Like most of my reads, the cover caught my attention first and I was intrigued. The best part of novellas is that you don't get pages and pages of world building. The best parts are right in your face with no fluff. There is a sneak into another couple at the end, so I look forward to reading their relationship once it is released as well as other books/novellas by this author.

I absolutely loved this quick spicy read. I def will want to read more from the world and author. And I might’ve found a new book boyfriend. Ty is most definitely dreamy and steamy.

It was ok. I didn't mind the writing but I wish it had been longer. I don't think I'll remember it but I did enjoy some elements!

First and foremost, the cover design is gorgeous and that is was drew me in at first. The summary also sounded interesting, and it seemed to have everything I like in a book: fae, spice, and romance. Unfortunately, it fell short for me.

The concept of the story is interesting. Definitely check trigger warnings, for the main concept surrounds a literal hunt for mates. The females’ wings are bound and if a male catches them, they bond. They have one veto, and our main character Ember is vehemently against becoming bonded with any of the males.

We meet our love interest, Typhon, shortly after the hunt begins. He’s an unseelie who Ember runs into. Whenever a love interest is described as long haired and winged with fangs, I’m sold. He just seemed a bit… flat? All of the character in the book seemed a bit flat. I understand the book is a novella so there is only so much characterization that can be done, however I hoped for more than what is presented. I didn’t connect with any of the characters or understand what drove them. I loved the bisexual rep of the main characters, however. What I wasn’t expecting was the polyamory at the end, which is just personally not my cup of tea.

The formatting of the book was also a bit odd. It was right side aligned, which made reading the dialogue a little confusing.

The novella was also marketed as an erotic romance; however, the spice scenes seemed a bit bland and were brief. The scenes were straight forward which isn't a bad thing, however for a book marketed mainly as erotica, I feel as though the scenes could have been a little bit more descriptive and fleshed out.

Overall, this book had potential. Unfortunately, I feel as though it fell short of what it could have been.

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC copy of "The Springfest Sprint" in exchange for an honest review.
