This book is a great tool for Christians looking to draw closer to Christ and become more like Him. It centres on the lessons we can learn from Christ’s earthly ministry. Each devotional is focused on one key verse from the New Testament, yet verses are never taken out of context. The theology is really solid and I appreciated the fact that the author encourages loving and caring for ourselves as a component of living a life of love. The activities and journal exercises are really useful and thought-provoking. I would definitely recommend this book as a gift or an addition to a church library. Alexis Waid’s close relationship with Christ is evident in her writing, and I look forward to checking out more of her work!

I'm so very grateful to NetGalley to have been given the opportunity to read and review this book. Obviously I haven't read the entire book yet, but I'm anxious to share my 5+ star review so others will be interested in obtaining a copy of this excellent book. I love daily devotional reading and this fits the bill in so many ways. Each daily devotion is just the right length and written in a very practical and accessible way. The book is broken into 3 sections--Living like Jesus, Loving Like Jesus and Looking to Jesus. The gospel verses and scriptures are just the right length to read, mediate on and then spend some prayer time with afterwards. This is a must-have for all Christians who, like me, really enjoy spending 5 minutes multiple times a day with bible readings and devotionals. I find it the perfect way to start my day and end my day. Again, I'm very grateful to have been given the opportunity to read and review an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.
