Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.

I now renamed my anxiety to Llama. I enjoyed the story and enjoyed the tips to calm the LLAMA at the end

This was just ok and could definitely help with teaching a child about self care and not neglecting emotions. I feel like it's been done before with There's No Such Thing as a Dragon, but a llama is just a trendy animal and "drama llama" is a trendy saying right now. It takes a long time for the book to explain what the llama actual is, and that would be confusing for a child to pick up on their own. Also thy rhyming at times felt like a stretch.

This book was a total joy to read, especially with those awesome illustrations that kids will love. The book has some helpful tips for dealing with anxiety and does a great job of encouraging kids to talk about their feelings with someone they trust. It's all wrapped up in a hilarious story featuring a llama that's all about drama. It's a clever way to show how getting tangled up in drama isn't good and can cause a lot of trouble. It shows how reaching out for help and talking things through is way better than keeping it all locked up inside.

The title lead me to think the book would be about handling drama with others. I like that the book talks about how a worry can grow when you don’t talk to someone. I just wish the book had a different title.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone with a young child who worries a lot or suffers with anxiety. I thought this book was very relatable to my own children and helps discuss the topic to them on an appropriate level. I often hear moms ask for book recommendations to help their child on this topic—this is it!

Great story helping kids learn how to deal with emotions. Alex gets stressed out over all kinds of things. A llama appears and gets bigger as he gets more anxious. Alex learns how to deal with his emotions by learning how to tame his llama. In the end, there is a list of ways you can tame your own llama, such as soothing your llama. Fantastic advice!

This book was a sweet story about what can happen with worries and anxiety. When Alex's worries start to get bigger, the llama that comes along with them, also grows in size and is hard to lose. The story gives some techniques to help children in situations and how to navigate them. The book gave my youngest and I opportunities to talk about what helps us feel better and how we can approach new to us events. Throughout the story there are colorful and clear to follow pictures, which also help the reader(s) relate to the story and the message. Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for an advanced copy! Thanks NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. The Drama Llama portrays emotions as a Llama. The bigger the feelings, the more the Llama grows. Sometimes it even spits! The book does a great job encouraging kids to talk about their feelings with a trusted adult.

This is a super cute book that comes up with a fun and funny way to talk about worries. It addresses the very natural urge to get rid of anxiety and how it can grow and grow if not taken care of appropriately. I also loved the tips at the back of the book. Would be great for a parent and child to read together or for a classroom SEL lesson.

This is an excellent children’s book that deals with topics of worries and anxiety and how to deal with stress in a healthy way.

The llama represents the child’s worries and the more worries he has the bigger the llama grows and the more chaos that ensues.

When the child decides to talk to somebody about his concerns, a weight is lifted from his shoulder and the llama starts to shrink back down.

A great read with helpful metaphors

A cute picture book using a Llama to show that drama isn't a good thing. And how much trouble it can cause.

This is book all about worry and how our worries can grow really big and cause trouble for us. It gives tips on how to handle worries to make them not be so big. The illustrations are really cute. I love how the worry is depicted as a llama it makes it easier for young readers to identify with the deeper meaning and lesson of the book.

A great picture book focused on mental health and self-care. Everyone has a worry or two, but we shouldn't let it grow and become so large that causes more problems.

This hilarious book shows how to deal with a Drama LLama the best way with support and comprehension but most of all not by holding it inside and alone. It's a rhyming book with beautiful illustrations and is well-designed. I usually don't like rhyming books, but these are well-done and fun. Makes a great read-aloud.

A book that most certainly should be in all classrooms, libraries, and homes for it is important to manage our feelings in a healthy way.
