This is the first book in the New World Nautical Saga series and it’s a cracker. I’ve already preordered books 2 & 3. The story is fast paced and didn’t spend any time on anything that didn’t keep the pace of the story going quickly. Francis Drake is really well described and written so I felt like I’d gotten to know a great deal about him before the book finished. Hugely entertaining story and can’t wait to read the next two books.

A great read in what looks to be an exciting new series. The book was hard to put down. This book was a historical look at Francis Drake. The story was well written and there was plenty of action/excitement to hold your attention. A terrific read, and I cannot wait for the next one to come out.

I always enjoy reading books about pirates, its one of the things that I always enjoy. This was a great look at pirates and the Tudor dynasty. David Field does a great job in creating this book and it left me wanting to read more.
