this was a very cute romcom. the influencer aspect of the story was fun to read and of course it's always fun to read opposites attract -shes the city girl, and he's the grumpy guy. it's not a new favorite but it was still a fun read. and i enjoyed some of the tropes in the book like forced proximity and fake dating.

This is the third and final book in The Influencers series. I have thoroughly enjoyed each book, but I’m still undecided if I liked this one or Set On You more - Exes & O’s is by far my favorite of the three.

This was a fun enemies-to-lovers with fake dating set in a small town. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and loved the cameo from the characters in the other two books.

I absolutely loved the small-town fishing vibes and the lobster fest. I had such a great time following the journey between these characters and the banter scattered throughout.

This was a buddy read for me - one of my favorite ways to read a book. I’m so glad I was able to discuss my thoughts on this book, as I just found it so interesting.

Mel and Evan were such incredible characters. I’ve seen many people say this is their favorite in the series, which I can totally understand.

I also really loved the mental health rep in this book and the charm of this town. All the side characters were a fun touch as well.

Overall, I absolutely loved the quirkiness and character depth in this book. It had some of my favorite tropes, I would highly recommend picking this series up.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Berkley for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

I love Amy Lea…I would read her grocery lists to be honest. I’ve really enjoyed the Influencer trilogy and am sad it’s ending, but wow….what a way to end it. Enemies to lovers set in a small Atlantic town, the characters discover what family means and help each other heal in the process. Featuring the same banter and sarcasm common in Lea’s writing, this is a really sweet love story that will have you CRUSHING on Evan Whaler.

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and Berkley for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.

I wanted to love this one, but nothing really stood out. Nothing stuck in my mind. It's similar to so many other books that was too easy to compare it, not in a good way. I liked it enough to finish it. You may love it.

An absolute gem of a romantic comedy that had me hooked from the very first page. Set against the backdrop of a quaint fishing village in Nova Scotia, this story is brimming with charm, humor, and heartwarming moments.

At the center of the tale are Melanie, a Boston fashion influencer, and Evan, a rugged lobster fisherman with a heart of gold. When fate brings them together after a boating accident lands Evan in the hospital, Melanie finds herself swept up in a whirlwind of events as she agrees to pose as Evan's fiancée to help smooth over a family feud.

What follows is a delightful romp filled with mistaken identities, quirky family dynamics, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. As Melanie and Evan navigate their fake engagement, they discover unexpected connections and undeniable chemistry that slowly blossoms into something real.

I adored the vibrant cast of characters, from Evan's eccentric family members to the colorful residents of the fishing village. Each character added depth and richness to the story, making the setting feel alive and immersive.

I DNF'd this one because it was too much like The Proposal (the movie). Loved the movie, but I wasn't feeling it in book form. Also there were some comments that didn't sit well with me like, "he lifted me up even though I was north of a size 10" (something along those lines). That comment, and others, leave me with an icky feeling on many levels.

I appreciate what Amy Lea is doing with her influencer series but I think the time has come for me to admit they are not for me. Boston fashion-gramer Melanie finds herself in a Canadian fishing town fake-engaged to a surly (but sexy, of course) fisherman/carpenter/musician. The predictable course of action unfolds with Lea’s characteristically thoughtful approach to mental health, body image, and sexism. Perfect for fans of fake dating, grumpy sunshine, city meets country, and quirky small towns!

Amy Lea writes such cute books and I’m sorry this trilogy of influencer books draws to a close with this book.
I love it when big burly grumpy bear like Evan encounters chic citified Melanie.
I liked that Melanie didn’t give up easily and learned how to make things works, unconventional or not.
I loved how Evan’s family was up in his business because I love to read about it but that drives me crazy in real life.
The ending was perfect. Evan’s daily habit is swoon worthy and the surprise he had for Melanie was just right!
While I’m sad to leave these characters I look forward to the next Lea serving!

had a little bit of a hard time getting into the book but once I hit like 25%, I was hooked! this was my first Amy Lea book but definitely will not be my last. I think I'll go back and read the others in this series!

I really, truly wanted to love this one, but I had the hardest time getting into it and then keeping interest in the two main characters. I listened to the first 35% and then had to pause and really didn't have a desire to go back and finish the book. When I finally did, the story was just too insta-love for my taste. I truly loved the first two books in this series, but this one missed the mark for me.

Such a fun story, I loved the small fishing town and that it was set in a country other than the US made it really stand out.

My first book by Amy Lea, and it won't be my last!

Mel is in a bit of a predicament after finding she'll have to look for another place to stay when she's traveling to Nova Scotia. There's no option to stay at except for a B&B, who's owned by. a very grumpy man. The two can't stand each other at all, even more so when an accident that's entirely Mel's fault lands Evan at the hospital. But things take an interesting turn when Evan's estranged family arrives and think Mel is Evan's fiance. Deciding to keep up the ruse, Mel and Evan pretend they're engaged in order to continue having Evan's family around.

I gotta love a fake relationship between enemies! Reading about them slowly getting feelings for each other always has me so giddy, and Amy did a wonderful job at it! Add to that the grumpy-sunshine trope and I was sold!

Probably my favorite influencer book of the bunch. I was left a little disappointed from book 2, but this one certainly made up for it. I truly felt bad for Mel. I know she has great friends in Crystal and Tara, but I could really see how isolated she felt from her life. It read strongly throughout the book and it was something she had to work on. I love that she was high maintenance and fell in love with this tiny fishing town and just really made it a home. I am also terrified of spiders.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would! I really enjoyed Mel getting to know Evan and the Whaler family, even though the situation was absurd and they all acknowledged it as such. I really loved how much Mel grew and the way that her and Evan defrosted towards each other and compromised in the end. Although I really liked the way that Mel and Julian’s sibling relationship was written, I did not like the fact that Evan never apologized for not texting Mel when he knew she would be extremely worried and for not following through on his promise to house-sit for her when they had their conversation. Other than that, this was a really fun book and I will continue to read Amy Lea!

Loved this story. Characters are interesting and fun, but there was also depth to the story. Would definitely recommend!

This was such a great book! Amy Lea has definitely become one of my favorite authors and I always get excited when I see she has a new book coming out! When reading this book I felt like I was in the small coastal Canadian town with the characters. It did take me a little bit to get into the book, but after that I was hooked! There’s so many great tropes in this book too! There’s grumpy x sunshine, fake engagement, and opposites attract. If you haven’t read this book yet and you’re a fan of mild open door romances, I recommend checking this book out!

Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have read the previous books in this series and I was so excited to read this arc. Lea is a brilliant romcom writer that writes such realistic stories. I loved the MCs so much and the story was so sweet. I love me a HEA!

It took me just over halfway to really get on board with this one but overall a pretty solid read! I think probably #2 in my ranking of Amy Lea's INFLUENCER series. I definitely know which customers to recommend this to at work. ◡̈

Amy Lea is back with the third book in the influencer series, the Catch! Melanie is a Boston based influencer who finds herself in rural, coastal Canada after a snafu with her reservation at a new resort is mixed up. She finds the only available room at a run down bed and breakfast and much is operated by the world’s grumpiest, yet handsome Canadian.

Melanie decides to make lemonade out of lemons and salvage what she can from her trip. She convinces Evan to take her in a boat trip so she can get some content photos, but she moves boating equipment so she can get better photos and Evan has an accident. In the hospital, Melanie can’t see Evan unless she’s family and she tells everyone she’s his fiancée. Evan and Melanie decide to work together for one week to help Evan’s family and he agrees to help her with content.

I enjoyed this fish out of water story! I find myself much like Melanie who needs creature comforts in nature. I enjoyed all the Canadian parts of the book such as Evan sharing poutine with Mel. I enjoyed the big city girl in small town. This had the perfect amount of spice for me too!

Thank you @amyleabooks @berkleypub and @prhaudio for my gifted book. The Catch is out now!

Short synopsis: Mel (a beauty and lifestyle influencer) gets a sponsorship to travel to Nova Scotia to review a hotel, but there’s a misunderstanding in the travel dates and she ends up staying at an Inn in small town Coral Cove with the grumpy Evan.

My thoughts: I’ve really enjoyed this influencer series and I’m sad to see it come to an end. These friends were so sweet and supportive of each other and I really liked seeing them pop up in each others stories.

I’ve always been a fan of Grumpy/Sunshine, and this is fun because it’s also Opposites attract! She’s always dressed to the nines with fake lashes, and Evan wears plaid everything. I liked watching them compromise and find similarities in each other.

The small fishing town was such a fun location, and the people including Evan’s family was so loving and supportive.
