Book 5 in The Dalton Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone.

This was hard for me to get through, but I think this may be a case of the audiobook narrators negatively impacting my opinion and not the writing/story line.

The plot was ridiculous at times, I literally found myself laughing at some of the verbiage used to describe their intimate moments, but I think I would have been more willing to "believe" it, had I not been so annoyed with the audio. Overall the narration made everything very cringey.

I would personally stick to the print/digital version for this one.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love the Daltons!

Camden & Oaklyn are friends through Camden's sister. It starts as a proposition from Oaklyn to Camden and when it becomes reality these two shift from friends to lovers in the steamiest of ways!

What a way to end this series. I have loved all the Dalton's stories but whew Camden is giving a scorching hot ending. I loved that he seemed the total playboy but folded hard for Oaklyn. Also Oaklyn, she was just awesome. Knew what she wanted and didn't want to settle for less than. The emotions were there along with the steam and the way it all unfolded worked perfectly. Definitely recommend!

I was provided and audiobook copy of The Bachelor and I am a fan of narrators Ramona Master & Walker Williams! Great listen!

Book 5 in the series doesn’t disappoint. Camden, like the other men he is related to is focused on work, money and how he deals with women in his personal life. He is a one and done kind of guy. It is working for him thus far. What he doesn’t count on is his sisters BFF Oaklyn. Camden made/was forced into a pact with his sister to stay away, far far away from her BFF her. Unbeknownst to the anyone, Oaklyn desperately wants to make use of Camden for his experience and sexual prowess. She is 25 and still a virgin so why not take advantage of what is close at hand. And so begins the push and pull of a will they won’t they. It’s a bit more of a slow burn than the others in the series. but similar in vein. A fun steamy and not for the faint of heart!

I want to start by saying this is book 5 in a series that I have not read, and did not HAVE to. These are all stand-alone books. I did enjoy this book and I do want to read Hannah & Declan's story! My first Marni Mann book & will not be my last!

Camden Dalton is the ultimate bachelor, never ever taking a woman home twice.
Oaklyn Rose is the ultimate good girl, a 24 year old virgin!

One drunken night they make a deal
Her Request - If she doesn't lose her virginity within the next year, he promises to take it. but she wants to get filthy and she wants to learn how to give as good as she gets!
His Rebuttal - If she can make it through four lessons without catching feelings, then they'll move on to the fifth and final lesson, where all her naughtiest dreams will come true.

There’s only one problem. His sister is her best friend and he’s forbidden to ever date any of her friends.

Book 5 in The Dalton Brothers series. Works as a stand alone.

This was hard for me to get through, but I think this may be a case of the audiobook narrators negatively impacting my opinion and not the writing/story line.

Ramona Master and Walker Williams narrate. First, a major pet peeve, their pace was vastly different. Ramona's chapters were excruciatingly slow at 1.5. But the app I used only goes up in large increments, and if I went to the next one, Walker's chapters were too fast.

Now, the bigger issue. I could not stand Camden's chapters (narrated by Walker Williams). He just came off so smug, pompous, and overall annoying. It was like nails on a chalkboard the whole time. His character is smug and pompous, but the narration made everything very cringey.

The plot was ridiculous at times, but I think I would have been more willing to "believe" it, had I not been so annoyed with the audio.

Definitely stick to the print/digital version for this one.

"The Bachelor" is a steamy and provocative novel that explores the boundaries of desire, friendship, and the unexpected twists of forbidden love. With its seductive premise and engaging characters, this book takes readers on a journey filled with passion, anticipation, and the exploration of personal boundaries.

The story revolves around Camden Dalton, a notorious bachelor known for his prowess in the courtroom and the bedroom. When a drunken night leaves Camden and the protagonist accidentally alone, they strike a risky deal. If she doesn't lose her virginity within a year, Camden promises to be the one to take it. However, this arrangement comes with a set of conditions and lessons on becoming an unforgettable lover.

The tension and chemistry between the main characters is palpable, creating a sense of anticipation that permeates throughout the story. The author skillfully captures the push and pull of their desires, as well as the emotional complexities that arise from their connection. The premise of forbidden love adds an additional layer of excitement, as the protagonist's best friend is Camden's twin sister, making their relationship off-limits.

The pacing of the plot is well-executed, keeping readers engaged and invested in the outcome of the characters' journey. The author's writing style is sensual and evocative, heightening the intensity of the intimate encounters and creating a vivid portrayal of the characters' emotions. The steamy scenes are tastefully written, striking a balance between passion and emotional depth.

While the novel explores the boundaries of desire and forbidden love, it also delves into themes of self-discovery and personal growth. As the protagonist embarks on her journey of sexual exploration, she not only discovers her own desires but also learns how to give and receive pleasure. This aspect adds depth to the story, emphasizing the importance of consent, communication, and the power of sexual empowerment.

The characters in "The Bachelor"are well-developed and complex, with their own fears, insecurities, and desires. The protagonist's internal struggle between following her heart and respecting her friendship with Camden's sister is compelling, making her a relatable and sympathetic character. Camden, on the other hand, evolves from a notorious bachelor to a more vulnerable and emotionally connected individual as the story progresses.

It's worth noting that the plot of "The Bachelor" may not be suitable for all readers, as it explores explicit sexual content and touches upon taboo relationships. However, for fans of steamy romance novels that push boundaries, this book delivers on its promises, offering an intriguing and sensuous reading experience.

Overall, "The Bachelor" is an enticing and provocative novel that will captivate fans of steamy romance and forbidden love stories. With its compelling characters, seductive plot, and exploration of sexual empowerment, it provides a captivating escape into a world of passion and desire. Readers will be drawn into the complexities of the characters' relationship and left eagerly turning the pages to uncover the ultimate outcome of their forbidden love.

I've really enjoyed the entire series this book is a part of. I've had the chance to listen to them all on audio, and it's made the experience really enjoyable. Audio books are sometimes the much simpler option when being busy. I fell in love with these characters, and was on the edge of my set wanting more and more the whole time I was listening to it. It was such a good story, and had some twists and turns I wasn't expecting. Thank you NetGalley for giving me an arc of this audiobook.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

This is book 5 is Marni’s Dalton Family series and I highly recommend that you read the books in order as characters do interlink in each book, so the order to read them is as follows

The Lawyer - Dominick Dalton
The Billionaire - Jenner Dalton
The Single Dad - Ford Dalton
The Intern - Hannah Dalton
The Bachelor- Camden Dalton

Now Camden is the ultimate Bachelor. He wants nothing more than a simple hook up, no attachments. He enjoys his single life. However, when his twin sister’s best friend Oaklyn has a proposal for him, it’s one that he just can’t refuse, despite him upsetting his sister in the process. His one promise to her, never to get involved with one of her mates!
Oaklyn has always been secretly attracted to her best friends hot brother, but alas he’s never show any interest in her. They’ve only ever been friends. However, one night Oaklyn unleashes a secret to Camden and has one very interesting proposal for him, to take her virginity and give her the experience she feels she’s lacking in that department. You get my gist lol Spicy lessons are indeed learnt and feelings start to get involved!

Now, having loved the series so far, I did feel slightly underwhelmed with this story. It was the first audio of this series I listened to, so whether it was down to the narrators I don’t know. It did take me a few chapters to get used to their voices. However, I just didn’t connect to these main characters unfortunately. I just found Camden very cringy and yucky at times with how he acted. Yes there was some hot, spicy action, but I just didn’t connect with the trope story at all. I also found Hannah very annoying - she was never like that in her own story the Intern lol

So overall, I liked this story, but didn’t love it as much as the earlier books in the series. I’m very intrigued by Macon, who will feature in Marni’s new side Spade Hotel series!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape for this audio arc.

Its a quick and easy read if you are in the mood for something simple and spicy.
Perfect for those who enjoy the following tropes -
Siblings best friend
Playboy who wont commit until her
FMC is a virgin and he has to teach her
secret relationship

I was expecting to love this book, being a fan of most of these tropes, sadly the quickness of the relationship and the naivety of the fmc didnt do it for me. My biggest issue was when they finally slept together, it was supposed to be sweet and gentle. But came off as cringy and painful, both for me and the fmc.

Is it hot in here or is it just THIS BOOK!? Sheesh! The Bachelor by Marni Mann was so good. The chemistry, the heat, the secret relationship... that ending! I loved everything and I am now going to go backwards and read all of the previous books in the Dalton Family Series! 5/5

It's the turn of Camden Dalton in this, the latest installment of the Dalton family with The Bachelor.

He is what it says on the tin. He's a confirmed bachelor with no interest in long term relationships or commitments. Oaklyn is, and has been, in love with Camden for years since he's her bff's twin brother.

The Bachelor is another spicy addition to this series albeit it's also a bit of a slow burn...ish. Although mostly drama free, the reader waits with baited breath for the inevitable moment when their 'secret' relationship is uncovered!

As with any series, it's great to catch up with already known characters.

I can't wait to see what this author serves up next!

I love a dual POV book, and having the two different narrators was so perfect!

I didn't love the prologue, as it felt like Camden was objectifying Oaklyn but he grew on me quickly and I liked him. Personally, I feel like the prologue wasn't needed because I absolutely adored the first chapter and how it then skips to a year later. The scene where they made the deal was just so fun! And I loved how Oaklyn was the one to initiate. It's nice seeing a woman in charge of her body and desires without being seen as lesser for it.

The spice was perfect, and the way the audiobook narrators read it only made it that much better. It was the perfect amount of spice that it didn't detract from the plot. And I loved how it demonstrated how to discover new things sexually with your partner in a consenting and safe way. The scenes were unexpected in how they played out, and I liked how they contributed to and advanced the plot, instead of just being thrown in.

I liked how the characters were developed. Oaklyn really explored herself and I could relate to her experience. Camden learned about love and grew in his ability to form a meaningful romantic relationship. That said, some of the character development, such as the details surrounding Camden's main law case were a bit much at times and slowed down the plot. I found myself wanting to get back to Oaklyn and Camden because I loved their interactions so much!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was steamy! I really enjoyed Oaklyn and Camden as characters and enjoyed how Camden played the role of teacher to Oaklyn. That created a very interesting dynamic between the two and they had great chemistry. In all this was a very entertaining listening experience. I now want to go back and read the other books in this series. This may have been part of a series, but can be read as a standalone and not reading the other books does not impact the reading experience.

This audiobook is very hot and spicy! It’s definitely not for the pearl clutcher’s. There’s lots of dirty talk and “lessons” for a virgin which I personally enjoy. The main couple are very cute and I enjoyed their dynamics together. The narrators are very good as well. Especially Walker Williams. He has a great voice for this type of book.
I highly recommend this for someone looking for a very 🔥 book! Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for this chance to listen and review. This review is 100% my own opinion.

This was a fun, quick read!

Camden is Hannah’s twin, from The Intern; and Oakyln is Hannah’s bestie since they were kids. Oaklyn has adored Camden from afar since they were 12. Hannah, knowing Camden was a playboy, forbid him from dating any of her friends ever.

Camden always found Oaklyn beautiful and endearing but he’s so anti relationships and never sleeps with the same woman more than once that he never made a move. Oakyln one night asks him to coach her and take her v card so she’s ready for her husband since she’s mid 20s now and still a v.

He tests her and makes her wait an entire year to make sure she truly wants that and doesn’t develop feelings for him.

Except is Oaklyn the one to finally break the playboy streak? I really enjoyed their dynamic. It was a little faster paced and seemed a bit rushed with them diving head first into their dynamic but it was sweet and HOT and I was here for it.

She’s only gone and done it again! This baby is spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicy! Get your Greek yoghurt ready you’re gonna need it to cool down after this delight!

I don’t usually go for v!rgin romances but this one was fun and filthy. A combo I just can’t go past. Camden is trying so hard to resist Oaklyn giving her a year’s cooling off period, but she’s back and ready to lose her V-card. He proposes some “lessons” before the main event, and if she can remain detached then he’ll not just take it he’ll smash it! Well, let me tell you, you are gonna want to read/listen to these lessons. Phewy mother truckers these are ring of fire hot! I do love a bit of exhibitionism in my romance, and Marni didn’t disappoint. Dinner out never felt so good!

Ramona and Walker are both new narrators to me and they did a good job of delivering the goods.

So if you’re up for a fun but filthy (and a little bit feely too) romance, look no further. Get your finger poised and get a clicking, you’re in for a treat!
