I really enjoyed this one!! Read if you like millionaire, player type main character, “lessons”, he falls hard. Lotsss of spice as well. I thought I knew what to expect with the player premise but this surprised me a little bit and in a good way! It was way sweeter than I thought it would be. The reason for the 4 stars is that the change was so abrupt and not really for a discernible reason of something that happened “on page”. I would’ve loved to see more of the build up of their romantic chemistry and that push pull of expectations changing.

The narration was very well done! This is dual POV and dual narration and they did a great job.

Thank you to NetGalley and dreamscape for this ALC.

Bad boy playboy and his twin sisters best friend make a 🔥 deal. The terms he will help her learn and lose her v-card the only rule is no falling in love. Camden’s journey to love what my favorite though I do wish it had been a bit more drawn out. I wish we had been able to savor the development of their relationship a bit more. The relationship moved so fast if felt rushed. One minute they are solidly against feelings development and then the next they are confessing feelings. It just happened a bit fast for me. Wish we had been able to savor it a bit more.
Even though I wish things had moved a bit slower it was still well written with good spice and genuinely fantastic characters that are easy to love. This was my first book in the series and now I want to go back and read the previous books.

This is my first time reading this author, so I didn’t know what to expect. I really enjoyed it! I probably would have give it a 3.5 star, because it was slightly lacking for my taste, but the spice was written so freaking well that I bumped it up to 4 stars.

Holy hot spice! Once again, the Dalton Family provides ample entertainment, a fun plot and plenty of steam to keep your temperature steamy! I love this series and the audiobook is outstanding as the dual narration really brings the characters to life. Oakland is the girl everyone loves and she is determined to tame the bad boy, Camedon, or at least take what she can get from him while he is willing to share. A fun look at what happens when bad boys fall for good girls! I hope this series keeps going as it is just too much fun to hang out with these spicy characters!

Alpha Hero
Virg!n Heroine
Twin-Sister’s Best Friend

Marni Mann writes the ultimate dirty talking alpha male heroes. She has once again knocked this one out of the park. The story flowed well and the relationship between Camden and Oaklyn seemed to be a long time in the making, on and off page. The two of them have know each other for years as Oaklyn is BFFs with Hannah, Camden’s twin sister. After Hannah makes him promise to stay away from her friends in their teenage years, he has had to settle for admiring Oaklyn from afar. Fast forward to adulthood and Oaklyn asks him for an extremely intimate favor, testing his fragile resolve. The narrators of this book were absolutely amazing. At one point, I decided I was only going to refer to them as voice actors because they brought so much passion and emotion to these characters. The smallest nuances were so appreciated and brought so much to the drama of the story. I highly recommend this whole series on audio. The dirty talk is just amplified so much when you actually get to hear it from these talented male narrators!!!

The Bachelor, Camden and Oakley’s story was enjoyable. The narration by Ramona Master and Walker Williams was easy to listen to and they kept me listening when the plot failed to develop.

This series has been entertaining, but this was by far the weakest of the series for me. It was all sex and no story or emotion. I don’t love trope writing and this was most definitely the best friend’s brother/alpha/virgin trope in all its predictability.

I listened to the audiobook for this and I absolutely loved it! Ramona Master & Walker Williams were both new to me narrators and they killed this performance.

This sisters best friend, good girl/bad boy, forbidden romance was absolute fire. The chemistry between Oakland & Camden was INSANE.

I loved how soft Camden was for Oakland. He’s such a sweet, dirty talking cinnamon roll of a man. Him and Oakland were a team right from the start, no miscommunication, no third act break up… I just really loved it. Funny and sexy- it’s a book you definitely won’t want to put down.

Camden Dalton is sex on a stick . Drop dead gorgeous, dirty as sin + an eternal bachelor, Camden doesn’t need anything more in life . Until his twin sister’s, best friend asks him if he will take her virginity . Unsure of what to do with this intriguing offer, Camden gives her an ultimatum . If in one year, her 25th birthday, she is still a virgin, he will take her virginity . BUT it will done over five lessons . Five lessons for him to teach her everything he knows sexually but also five lessons for her to learn not to get attached to the wrong type of guys . But will he be able to make it out without any lines being permanently blurred ?

Oaklyn Rose knows exactly what she wants in a man but just can’t seem to find him . Not wanting to hand her virginity over to just anyone, Oaklyn comes up with a plan that she knows will be foolproof . All she needs to do is convince her best friends, twin brother to take her virginity, show her some pointers on how to make a man feel good + to lie to his sister about everything they are doing behind her back . Simple . Except for the fact that she has been in love with Camden since she was twelve years old + she knows her heart already belongs to him .

HOLY MOTHER OF NATURE THIS BOOK WAS SPICY ! Hands down one of the spiciest books I have ever read + the dirty talking was off the charts . A book that will make you blush head to toe . I loved the chemistry between Camden + Oaklyn . Even when they weren’t together, it seemed like they were inevitably always drawn back to each other .

This is the fifth book in The Dalton Family series but can be read as a stand-alone . I do recommend reading the series in order because you understand the friend group + dynamics more . This forbidden romance was my absolute favorite out of the whole series . I can’t wait to see what Marni has in store for us with her next series !

This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .

I wanted to like this. I really did, but the hero was horrible from the get-go, i also didn't vibe with the FMC that much. Her personality wasn't really appealing, and i didn't buy the innocent virginal act, so i didn't like her much either. Also, the rushing/instalove after 5 dates by the end just... it didn't work for me.
I feel like I might have liked some of the other books from this series, but this one just wasn't for me.

A drunken night Oaklyn makes Camden promise if she hasn’t lost her virginity in the next year, he will take it. Only problem is - he’s her best friends twin brother. This means any activities that happen between them have to stay secret and under the radar.

Camden is the ultimate bachelor. He is filthy in all the best ways and just another perfect Dalton. Oaklyn is ready to be taught all the lessons from Camden, and us readers are along for the insanely sexy ride.

Tropes:
Playboy hero/virgin heroine

Sisters best friend

This book wasn’t bad but nothing about the storyline really stuck out for me.

The audible narration was on point though!

Audio/eBook Review
I previously read and loved this book so I jumped at the chance to listen to to on audio.
I was so excited for the last instalment in The Dalton Brothers Series and Camden Dalton’s story did not disappoint in fact it was everything I expected and so much more. Camden and Oaklyn’s journey is the perfect addition to this wonderful series.

The Narration by Ramona Master and Walker Williams was wonderful. They were easy to listen to and they did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life.

Camden is a man that’s easy to love he is successful, arrogant and commanding and Oaklyn is the woman who should be off limits as she is his twin sisters best friend…….
It only took one drunken night for Oaklyn to proposition Camden but will he cross the line and risk his sisters temper.
This is a wonderful conclusion to a series I adore. I’m sad that this is the end but I can honestly say I will go back and read this series again and again because I’m sure with each read I will get something I missed

In a world saturated with romance novels, it's rare to find one that breaks the mold. However, I recently discovered a captivating gem that defied expectations and brought a refreshing twist to the genre. This book stood out with its unexpected plot developments and unique challenges for the characters.

The characters faced dilemmas that kept me eagerly turning the pages, invested in their journey. Their relatable flaws and growth added depth to the story, making it more engaging. The author's creative approach breathed new life into the genre, providing a much-needed escape from predictable romance novels.

The writing style was simple yet engaging, allowing the story to flow effortlessly. The pacing kept me hooked from start to finish. If you're seeking an unconventional and captivating love story, this book is worth picking up. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by its refreshing take on romance.

The Bachelor by Marni Mann is book 5 in The Dalton Brothers series, and the first book I've read by this author. (I can attest that this one can easily be read as a standalone.)

This one is a forbidden romance--Camden is Oaklyn's best friend's twin brother, and he's been told in no uncertain terms that Oaklyn is off limits. Granted, he was told that years ago when they were all still in high school, and they're definitely not in high school anymore, but he's been a good boy and stayed away. That is until Oaklyn asks him out of the blue to be the one to take her virginity. She's had feelings for him for years, since they were kids, and she knows that he knows what he's doing in the bedroom. If she has to lose her virginity, she wants it to be him. Despite his playboy ways, she trusts him. He agrees, but he has certain conditions. Conditions that will prolong the inevitable. He's determined to do this right. The last thing he wants is to hurt his sister's best friend--the best friend he's pretty sure he's falling in love with.

This one was scorching hot. Like super hot. I loved it. And I loved how their friendship and their feelings grew as they checked things off their list. Their closeness and the intimacy they shared was believable in large part because of the slow burn--because they both put in the work to be honest and communicate with each other every step of the way.

The two narrators both did an incredible job. Ramona Master and Walker Williams delivered fantastic performances and brought both Oaklyn and Camden to life.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my advance listening copy.

A Tempting Delight: "The Bachelor" Audiobook Review
"The Bachelor" by Marni Mann, narrated by Romona Master and Walker Williams, introduces readers to a forbidden romance filled with playful banter and an enticing slow burn. As my first experience with Marni Mann's work and the narrations of Ramona and Walker, I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating tale.

The story revolves around Oakley, a sweet and professional woman who excels in her career but lacks confidence in the bedroom. Seeking a solution to this predicament, she turns to Camden, the twin brother of her best friend, to take her V-card. Camden, a Harvard grad litigator fresh out of law school, is known for his playboy ways. However, as he starts teaching Oakley, their connection deepens, and the lines between student and teacher blur.

Mann's writing and story development in "The Bachelor" are truly commendable. Despite being part of a series, I found the book to be a standalone, carefully introducing previously established characters to new readers. The forbidden romance trope is skillfully executed. Camden falls for Oakley first, creating a delightful slow burn that keeps readers engaged throughout the narrative.

While this book may not be the most explicit I've ever read, I must say that the dirty talk in "The Bachelor" by Marni Mann is absolutely hardcore. The playful banter between the characters takes an irresistible turn, leaving readers breathless and craving more. The chemistry between Oakley and Camden is both entertaining and alluring, adding an extra layer of depth to their connection. Mann expertly weaves tension and anticipation into the story, making every interaction between the protagonists feel charged with desire.

Turning to the narration, both Romona Master and Walker Williams deliver pleasant performances. While there may not be standout moments that shine above the rest, neither are there any significant flaws. The narrators effectively bring the characters to life and maintain a consistent pace throughout the audiobook. Their voices complement the story, allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in the narrative. Based on their performances in "The Bachelor," I would definitely consider listening to other books narrated by them in the future.

In conclusion, "The Bachelor" by Marni Mann, narrated by Romona Master and Walker Williams, is a tantalizing forbidden romance with a delightful slow burn. Mann's excellent writing and story development ensure that even readers new to the series will not feel lost. While the audiobook narration doesn't necessarily stand out, it remains pleasant and enjoyable, making it a worthwhile listening experience. If you're looking for a book filled with playful banter and hard-to-get playfulness, "The Bachelor" is a delectable choice.

This is the second book I've read/listened to by Marni Mann. I keep wavering between 4 and 4.5 stars. This was a steamy, virgin, twin sister's best friend romance. I loved the storyline and characters. I have a love/hate feeling regarding the sister being in the way of these two hooking up/dating as well as the response to them being together. With that said, I really did enjoy this audiobook.

Ramona Master and Walker Williams are excellent narrators! They had this audiobook rolling like a movie in my head. Great voices!

Thank you NetGalley and Valentine PR for the audiobook copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I didn’t realize that it was part of a series. I’ll have to read books 1-4. This was a very fun and entertaining story! It was very different than what I normally read. All I can say is oh my Lordt! This is one spicy book! I listened to the audiobook in just 2 days. If you’re looking for a steamy story, this is definitely it.

This book was spicy! Like damn! It was my first Marni book, whoops for it being in the middle of a series, but I still enjoyed it a lot! It was pretty standalone, but it also made me very intrigued about all the other couples who’ve had previous books and are in it!

I liked the way Oaklyn held her own against Camden even though she’s a good girl, he brings a different side of her out! The had great chemistry that they’ve been obviously fighting their entire lives! And man did they bring the heat! Camden is a hell of a dirty talker!

It was a great read and the narrators were too!

The Bachelor is the fifth book in the steamy romance series The Dalton Family. One night, when drunk, Oaklyn propositions her best friends brother, Camden, asking him to take her virginity if she hasn’t lost it in a year. When the year arrives and she is still a virgin, what will Camden do?

I have only read one other book in the series, but I love this family so much! I was so happy when I saw that this was Camden and Oaklyn’s story and I was hooked from the very beginning. I can’t find anything that I didn’t like in this book. I loved the pairing, I loved the heat and I loved how everything progressed between the two. This is a great best friends brother romance full of steam and heated moments. I definitely recommend this read!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audiobook version of this book! The narration was great and added so much to the story.

2 Stars ⭐⭐🎧

Ultimately I am just 1 opinion of many.
I found the premise so promising, it's why I signed up to listen.
Sister’s Best Friend is off-limits, I liked that I wanted to see how this was going to play out. I was disappointed. It was almost like a dare for Camden when Oaklyn was so open and honest.

I mean does he catch feeling sure he does, but it all felt very shallow. Virgin romances are usually not my favorite and this is exactly why. Every 1 liner cliche that you have read about is in this book. I just didn’t feel the geniality of either of them. If they really have had feelings for each other for as long as they say it would have shown more.

Then the whole secrets thing, she is hiding this big thing from her best friend, and he is hiding from his twin. I mean it can be fun and a great thing to add to the story it just didn’t feel like that with this book.

I did really enjoy the narration I thought it was done very well and it really is the reason I kept listening.
