Absolutely my least favorite of the series so far. I didn’t like the couple from the beginning. I should have DNFd the book.

Many thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for an audio copy of The Bachelor for an honest review.

Marni Mann tells the most enticing stories! This one was good, but not my favorite in the series. I thought it was too much spice and not enough story. I still gave it 4 stars, though!

Marni Mann does it again and brought the heat with The Bachelor. The 5th and final book in the Dalton Series, we are finally getting to see Camden get his HEA. Camden has been a forever bachelor, until his little sisters best friend, who he has always been attracted to, comes to him with a proposition. Oaklyn wants Camden to be the one to take her virginity. And they agree that if she still wants that after a year, that he will do it.

Well a year passes and Camden and Oaklyn agree to move forward, but Camden wants there to be some sexy lessons in between so that Oaklyn can gave confidence. And man oh man those scenes are spicy!!!

I really loved everything about this book and dare I say that Camden has tied Jenner as my favorite Dalton.

This book was so well done and I absolutely loved Hannah in this, especially at the end! We really got to see a lot of her, and some of Declan, which was awesome since I loved their book as well!

Going to miss being in this world, but can't wait to read what this author writes next.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC/ALC for this title.

This is the second book that I've read from The Dalton Family series and it was book #5 (I read Book #4 previously). This could easily be read as a standalone. I don't think I missed out on anything by not reading the others. But having the background knowledge of Hannah and Declan from #4 played into this book #5 because the FMC was Hannah's best friend and MMC was Hannah's twin brother.

I appreciated that Camden wasn't written the way Declan was where he realized that he cared about Oaklyn so quickly. Actually, wanted a relationship with her more like it. He's always cared about Oaklyn. They've been friends since childhood and both the FMC and MMC had crushes on each other, but Hannah (best friend to FMC and sister to MMC) forbade it. So it's been this on going emotion without anything happening. He definitely fell harder and we love to see it.

You can definitely see how this book is set up to focus on Camden's best friend, Macon, Real-Estate mogul for a hotel chain.

Tropes include:
Sister's best friend / best friend's brother

Really enjoyed both of the narrators.

If you're looking for a "no thoughts, just vibes" and a lot of spice and some sweet moments, you'll enjoy this book.

Definitely enjoyed this book more than book #4.

Inexperienced female - CHECK
Playboy confirmed bachelor - CHECK
Best friend's brother - CHECK

Oaklyn has crushed on Camden since they were children. But he's her best friend's brother and she just wouldn't go there.

When Camden offers to help Oaklyn gain some experience, she jumps at the chance. However, he is very clear - no feelings involved!

But guess who falls first?!

Another great installment in the Dalton Brothers series!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the story of Oaklyn and Camden. This is the first time that I have read a book in this series.
The appearances of the former couples are done well and not overused. Overall, I like the story. There were just a few things that really got on my nerves. One was the overexaggeration of the playboy - virgin trope. She's so innocent and pure, yet isn't, but is. It was fine to say she was still a virgin at 25, but the overuse and back and forth of innocence yet vixen was incongruous in this case as well.
Also, the overuse of her being so "tight" became obnoxious. She's a virgin, we get it. But she could only take a finger to the middle knuckle? Umm, she might need to see a doctor. It went way too far and drove me insane.
The overall story of the twin sister's best friend who is off-limits trope was enjoyable. It definitely has steam, but the characters felt like they just wanted to sleep with each other. There wasn't much character development or deeper insights and growth for either of them.

This is my first Marni Mann novel and I had so much fun! If you are looking for a fast paced, forbidden relationship with lots of spice, this is for you.

- spicy lessons
- twin's best friend
- virgin
- childhood friend
- last in a series of interconnected standalones

This is a good series and these books are sweet and so family oriented. Now you have all the main characters happily committed and planning families. Camden fell head over heels for his twins sister best friend. Keeping this secret from Hannah was hard to do and they did a poor job. I’m waiting to get Macon’s story next. The narrator was very good too.

One year ago, Camden stroke a deal with his twin sister's best friend, Oaklyn: if she was still a virgin a year from then, he would get with her and show her the ropes. The thing is, this deal goes against a rule he made with his sister to never get close to any of her friends. But now that a year has passed, he can't thing about anything else...
This is book 5 in the Dalton Brothers series. It's the first one I read (in this series and by this author), and it's certainly not the last! This was a sizzling hot grumpy sunshine, forbidden/secret romance, super spicy and intense (those restaurant scenes? more please!). And the character development was amazing on both sides. Aaaaaaand... no third act break up! I listened to the audio book, and the dual narration was amazing. I highly recommend!
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving a review voluntarily.

I am sorry to see the end of this series but this was a good addition for the end of the series.

In this installment we get Oaklyn and Camden's story - two characters that we met in the last installment. This was a typical friends to lovers/forbidden romance read.

Oaklyn, best friend to Camden's sister has had a crush on him since they were teenagers. She confessed to him that she was a virgin and entered and agreement with him to learn how to pleasure a man while exploring her sexuality with him.

Camden in the meantime has had similar feelings for Oaklyn for the same amount of time - the only problem is the pact that he made with his sister to leave her friends alone. He agrees to teach Oaklyn and eventually take her virginity from her but then realizes that he can't escape his feelings for her.
The pair once they give into their feelings then have a secret relationship.

The chemistry between these characters was off the charts. I enjoyed their interactions as well as the return of the characters from the previous books in the series. I will admit that I did find Hanna a little irritating in how she interacted with her peers and brother. I felt that she was a bit on the immature side from how she was in the previous book in the series when we got her story. I also liked how the series ended without any loose ends from the previous books. Overall, this was a good read that I would recommend to others as well as the entire series.

5⭐️, 3.5🌶️

Fave Quote: "More is a word that's weighed on me. It could mean so many different things. But I knew when I came to this house, more meant sharing this spot with you. It meant taking that step. It meant saying the words that I've been feeling. Oaklyn"-I bit my lip because I was so fucking tempted to bite hers-"I love you. I think I've loved you since we were teenagers. And I want this. I want us.”

The entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited!
This was my FAVORITE BOOK of the Dalton family series! I loved the instant forbidden-ness, and I LOOOOVE a good"teach me" spicy plot - this book has increasing spicy scenes that had me & and we're getting two spin off series after this - The Hooked Series, and the Spade Hotel Series!! I would like them immediately, but we gotta wait for Mr. HookUp in October 2023!

Tropes: Best Friends Brother, Virgin FMC asking to be taught😏 , No Third Act Break-up

Blurb: The last book in the Dalton Family Series, The Bachelor by Marni Mann follows Camden Dalton, twin brother to Hannah from book four, and cousin to Dominick, Jenner & Ford, and Hannah's best friend, Oaklyn. But when Oaklyn asks Camden to teach her, Camden & Oaklyn both have to hide these secrets from Hannah.

She had feelings for him since she was 12, now as adults it’s time to navigate their slow burn romance to find their HAE. Well written steamy romance highlighted by the great narration.

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for the ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This book provided in exchange for an honest review.

Time has run out on a drunken deal Oaklyn made with her best friends brother. The deal she made with Camden is for him to take her virginity, but Oaklyn wants more. Camden makes the deal with stipulations that she doesn’t catch feelings. Keeping the secret and not catching feelings may be harder than they think.

I enjoyed Camden and Oaklyn’s story, the friends-to-lovers/forbidden romance made for an angsty, tension-filled ride. I think it could have been improved upon with a little more backstory into their childhood relationship. The spice was 🥵🤌🏻 I did have a rough time with Camden’s early inner monologue—it felt cringy and a bit predatory. Fortunately, his inner thoughts calmed down and felt more genuine later in the book.

While I did enjoy the book overall, it’s not going to be super memorable for me.

The Bachelor is an interconnected standalone in the Dalton Family series.

I devoured this book. So smutty 🥵 it was such a fun and easy read. A simple story of a boy (Camden) who wanted his twin sister’s best friend (Oaklyn) for over a decade. But he made his sister a promise he wouldn’t date any of her friends.
Camden grows up to be a player (because what else are you supposed to do when you can’t have the girl you really want) and Oaklyn has lots of relationships but nothing really special. Maybe because she has been waiting for Camden to make his move.
Oaklyn gets tired of waiting and instead makes Camden an offer he can’t refuse (surprise it’s a sexy offer). A lot of smut and sneaking around happens and I loved every second of it.
I don’t normally give a pepper rating but this one needs it and I’m still not sure, this could be a 4 but for now I’m giving it 🌶️🌶️🌶️.75
The narrators for this book did a great job! I would listen to another book with them in it.

This was not it at all. It was soo cringy I couldn’t finish this.

I know this is a ‘me’ problem but I am so unhappy when the entire first 25% of this book was about the heroine and her virginity. And it was icky the way they were speaking with her about it and making fun of her about it. I really really hate that in my books. So much.

I friggin love the Daltons and Camden was no exception! The steam between Camden and Oaklyn was there from the very beginning and it never let up! I loved the best friend’s brother aspect. As always, I also ADORED getting to see the lives of the other Dalton’s through Camden and Oaklyn’s eyes!

It wasn’t bad, I loved the narrators, it was just a little lacking in plot, but if you want pure smut this is great!

5 star review of The Bachelor (The Dalton Brothers #5) by Marni Mann

Having read the previous books in this series I could not wait to jump into The Bachelor. I love friends to lovers stories and this was a wonderful addition to The Dalton Brothers series.

I fell hard and fast for Camden Dalton, he is so successful, arrogant, commanding and ticked the boxes for me. I am sad that this series is ending but Ms. Mann certainly ended with a fabulous story. I loved Oaklyn she was a wonderful character and after one drunken night she makes an outrageous proposal to Camden. The only problem is that Camden’s twin sister is her best friend and if she ever finds out the sparks will fly.

The chemistry between them is intense and sizzles making it impossible to ignore. The Bachelor is a fast paced, steamy, witty story that will draw you in and quickly have you hooked. The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them; a fitting conclusion to a wonderful series.

The narration by Ramona Master and Walker Williams was spot on. Not only did they do justice to the story but they brought the characters to life. Their voices are easy to listen to and I found myself invested in their narration.

Ramona Master and Walker Williams did a beautiful narration you felt their attraction to each other and especially on the steamy scene you feel it in your core it was hot.

Oaklyn and Camden

They known each other seen they were teen and Oaklyn is Hannah bf and Camden is Hannah twin. Hannah made
Camden promised he would never sleep with any of Hannah best friend especially Oaklyn.
So the years pass and Oaklyn ask Camden is he can take her
VCard he said let wait a year if she hasn't lose it then yes the year past and Oaklyn reminded Camden about the promise so he had rule not to fall in love with him and he sense she was catching feelings they were gonna stop.
So they started doing lesson and Hannah was trying to play matchmaker with one of Camden friends and Camden started getting jealous and confess to Oaklyn that he love her and she was it for him the only things was telling Hannah.
I love how everything about this book I was waiting for Camden book and love it now I'm curious about Macon.
