Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to provide the review.
Unfortunately this book does not measure up to the original author (which I thought it was when I first requested this book). The plot was confusing to me and the characters didn’t seem to have any depth.
With the ending having some unanswered points, I’m assuming there will be another book but I likely will just leave it at this one.

The Girl in the Eagles' Talons was a disappointing read that cannot hold a candle to the originally series. I will be forever bereft that I cannot read more books by the original author.
Thanks netgalley, for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read in exchange for an honest review.

While I did enjoy this book it doesn't hold up to the original trilogy. The characters stay fairly true to the first 3 books but at a surface level. Mostly I felt that the book could have been longer - it was a bit like reading an abridged version.

I did not enjoy this book at all. I found the plot to be all over the place and very under developed. I really had a hard time finishing it as i got bored, lost, and really uninterested after the first 100 pages. I feel like it was more of a fan fiction version of the original novels.

Although missing some of the je ne sais quoi of the original trilogy the spirit is alive and well in this newest addition to the series. As expected it is a gripping mystery thriller and a great example of the scandinavian genre.
If you liked others in the series you are sure to like this one too and if you've never read any, you can always start here. and wont be disappointed. A great easy read , a perfect escape from the everyday.

A new author taking over the reins with a new installment in the popular Libeth Salander series. Lisbeth is now the official guardian for her niece Svala, whose mother has disappeared. This new rendition is not my favourite in the series. I was a big fan of the original trilogy. The bad guys all seem very cliche. The plot was confusing. There is a lot of focus on government corruption as per usual. The book ends with a cliffhanger so will expect more from this author. It was a disappointing read for me.

I was a fan of the original series by Steig Larson. But I'm afraid this book falls short. Thank you for allowing me to read this title ahead of time. I was I could have given a better review.
2 out of 5.

I found this book bounced around a lot and was a bit disjointed. But I really liked the character of Svala, Lisbeth's niece. Overall it was an ok book but not great. Interesting setting in a smaller town but somewhat confusing. And I really didn't like most of the characters.

This was not my favourite book in the series. It went on a bit long and I wasn't as interested in any of the connections.

Really enjoyed this new release of the lister salanger story. Amazing how authors can continue these stories with the same feel as the original author.

Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the e-ARC!

The first important thing is that it has been quite a while since I read any of the Millenium series, and so it took me a bit to get used to the amounts of violence here. Overall, there was a bit too much going on, I think, and I’m not completely satisfied with the way it all came together. I also wish we got more time with Lisbeth and Mikael working together. Loved the Lapland subplot!!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimenatry copy of this book in return for my review based upon my honest opinion.

The original books in this series are some of my favourite books. I have read a few of the newer ones and they all seem to have fallen short of Steig Larsson's writings and imaginings for Lisbeth and Mikael. That being said, I thought the storyline of this book was interesting, I just found it really hard to get into. In the beginning I had difficulty figuring out how all the characters and storylines fit together. I feel like there was too much information and too many bad guys. I enjoyed the scenes with Lisbeth and Mikael though.

I have previously read all six books in this series. The first three were my favourite. With this seventh book I was eager to get back into the life of Lisbeth Salander. The story has the required evil and corrupt players, this time ones who are *cough cough* fighting for the survival of the planet. Unfortunately, it was not an easy read and I found it very disjointed. Lisbeth Salander is a bad ass and in this story, hardly her toughest physical challenge thus far, she had self doubt in the dark? Sorry, that doesn’t track. There were a couple of other plot points that were a bit of a stretch. I did like the niece. She could be a great character along with Lisbeth moving forward as I understand there are two more books to come.

I’m not sure if it was something lost in translation, or the state of the ARC that I received, but I was underwhelmed with this latest story.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #PenguinRandomHouseCanada for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the book. The new author who took over the series really did him justice. The main characters Lisbeth and Mikael kinda take a back seat to Salva but they are still a big part of the book.

Lisbeth Salander has been named the guardian of her niece when the girls mother mysteriously disappears. It doesn't take long for Lisbeth to realize that the girl is being watched.

Mikael Blomkvist's daughter is getting married. But how well does she really know her fiancé.

I don't know if it was the translation, but I found the writing to be very choppy. The stories jumped back in forth that made it at times confusing.
In the end the story was enjoyable, but the writing was not my thing.
I have loved this series, but I don't think I will continue with this latest author at the helm.

I am very sad to say that I did not finish this book. I simply love this series but it has to stop. Stieg Larsson is the only one who can write these books and he is no longer with us.

Honestly, this one wasn’t for me. The main characters Lisbeth and Mikael were really boring and this was such a slow book for me. I literally forced myself to finish it. Not for me as I said.

As a longtime lover of the Millennium series, I have always been excited to read another instalment of the well-loved books and to follow once more the characters of Lisbeth and Mikael.

The story itself is good, captivating, good character development. However I did not feel as though I was reading about the same beloved characters I am used to. They felt off and not like their usual selves and that is for sure because of the author change, but maybe it's time to retire these characters once and for all.

I requested this one because it might be an upcoming title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book does not suit my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one.

I enjoyed reading the previous book in this series, but I couldn't really get in this story. It started well, but then it stalled. The focus of the story was not about Michael and Lisbeth as they were more like secondary characters, but on Svala and two issues- missing people and wind turbines. It ends with a cliffhanger, which hints to a next book in the series.
