I absolutely adored reading this book! It was angsty, romantic and such a page turner! The story is about a rich girl in disguise falling in love with a musician from a tough neighborhood and must I say did it give the troupe justice! Jace and Andy meet and they're sure they're meant to be but time and situations keeps pulling them apart (there's several time skips and in the final time skip we find the ending we were all waiting for!). It was sweet, surprisingly softer and a better read than I expected for a YA romance and I like the fact there were plot twists that had me in my emotions! Beautifully executed!

I can sit here and read all the Sarah Ready's books in a go. There is a weird sense of comfort in the book which I somehow am unable to describe. After French Holiday, I had high hopes with this one and it was not let down at all! The space between sent me into a turmoil of emotions - from grief to having warmth and a smile. A must read for second chances reomance lovers!

Wow! What a story! Andrea is a pawn in her rich father's empire. To escape, she people watches in Central Park, where she encounters a busker named Jace whose songs make her heart soar.

They come from completely different worlds, yet there's an immediate soul connection between the two of them that neither can deny. But circumstances (and people) keep conspiring to push them apart.

This story includes many of the elements I enjoy in a sweet romance:
- Love at first sight
- Found family
- Challenges to overcome
- A willingness to fight for what you want

I recently heard that you need the right time, the right place, and the right circumstances for a romance to work out. Miss any of those elements, and it's not going to work.

That's exactly what happened with Andrea and Jace. It took a lot of time and living before they were able to get all three right, but what a story they had to share! One of my favorite books this year.

Thank you to Sarah Ready, W. W. Crown, and NetGalley for an advance review copy. I'm truly grateful!

This is a review of the audiobook.

Review of “The Space Between” by Sarah Ready.

This book… I mean, I’m used to getting amazing, mature and deep stories from Sarah Ready, which I’ve all loved so much, but this one was so beautiful and touching and meaningful. I loved it so much.

Andrea and Jace are both such amazing characters, well-written and the journey they take throughout the book is emotional and inspirational and I loved reading about them. All of the other characters were so well-done as well. I felt every emotion.

Make sure to read this if you’re into romance books that have so much plot to them! It’s really romance on a whole other level ♥️

This is my second Sarah Ready book and she really knows how to tell a story!

Get your tissues though. This one is going to definitely make you cry. What an emotional rollercoaster…but in a good way!

You get to meet Andi and Jace when they are young and both are trying to figure out who they are and what they love. They both want to belong and be loved. Then they are torn apart and it.is.captivating.

I loved their character development and their thoughtfulness. I loved their vulnerability and their realness. I also really loved how family dynamics, betrayal, and grief are explored.

This one will grip you and take you on quite the emotional ride but I recommend it.
Also, once you’ve read it please DM me because I need to chat with someone about Reid.

Thank you to my partner, NetGalley, and the author. I appreciate the gifted eARC and audiobook, and I am leaving this review voluntarily!

1. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 - It seemed to me that this story was an allusion to The Outsiders. A classic story kind of reimagined and Ready knocked it out of the park!

2. 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑼𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 - Always finish what you start. It often seems that if the words were spoken, many things would be resolved without the heartache.

3. 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑺𝒆𝒆 - So many times our eyes see things that aren’t true. Maybe our brains are wired to see the worst possible scenarios. Take the time to take that second glimpse.

4. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑻𝒐 𝑩𝒆 - Jace and Andi are that quintessential couple that will have every reader grasping for their happiness together.

5. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑾𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 - The underlying reason for Andi’s decisions later in the story is so heart-wrenchingly powerful. Sometimes in life we have to make sacrifices for the things that we know hold importance over everything else.

I finished this book a while ago and it’s still imprinted on my mind. This is hands down 5 stars. The story and timeline kept me gripped in a chokehold the entire time and I could not get enough. The emotions I felt were one of the best literary rollercoasters I’ve ever been on.

This is my fourth Sarah Ready book I have read and unlike the previous three ones, this book did take me a while to get into. It was only when I reached part 2 of the book that I began liking the story more and also felt the pace picking up. I received both an e-ARC and ALC but mostly listened to the audiobook. So far, all the narrators chosen to narrate Sarah Ready books have not disappointed and this book is no exception.

My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher W.W. Crown/IBPA Members' Audiobooks and the author for the ARC/ALC of the book.

The story was interesting but it just wasn't my cup of tea, it took me a while to get the gist of it, not a big fan of the miscommunication trope.

But overall I'd say it's a nice in-between books reading, other people might love it and I'd understand why.

The Space Between is perfectly marketed as, “an epic love story full of emotional depth, redemption, found family, and the belief that love can heal the world.”

Jace and Andrea found the love of their life at an early age, but the timing simply wasn’t right. After almost a decade apart, the two stumble upon one another at the very place they met and fell in love. Everything seems perfect, except Andrea is set to get married the very next day. Desperate to learn the truth, the two spend the night discussing the real story behind what tore their relationship apart. Will one night be enough for Andrea to call off her wedding, or will outside forces keep the pair apart once more?

Written in four parts, with alternating POVs from both Jace and Andrea, this book covers two decades of time. This book is perfectly structured for telling Jace and Andrea’s entire story. Readers get a comprehensive look at both Jace and Andrea’s lives.

I had the pleasure of both listening to this on audiobook and reading it on ebook. I loved getting to do so because each format offers something special to the story. However, if I had to pick one format for consuming this book, I would say audiobook is the way to go. The narration was expertly done. Both James Fouhey and Rachel Hirsch did a phenomenal job bringing Ready’s story to life.

As a fan of Sarah Ready, I have followed her career for many years. The Space Between, illustrates how she somehow outdoes herself with each and every book. She takes the most unlikable of characters and turns them into ones we root for. This book could have ended a million different ways and I would have been just as happy.

Special thanks to Sarah Ready, Netgalley, and WW Crown for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

Born on opposite sides of the track, Jace Morgan and Andrea Leighton-Hughes were a foregone conclusion once they met. In their world, they should not have fit together, but they absolutely did. Jace and his family is very music oriented and have hopes and dreams to share that love of music with the world. Andrea, or Andi, already has her life mapped out for her and being around Jace gives her a freedom that she never had before. I liked how pure their relationship was, the depth of their feelings and how much they admired one another.

However, life had other plans for them so when Jace and Andi go their separate ways because of others conspiring against them, it’s a hard blow for them to recover from. This story has some complex layers dealing with themes of social class, misconceptions, betrayal, wealth, fame and loss. As much as I rooted for Andi and Jace to get their happy ending, I am not the least bit sad that Andi found a reason to smile and be happy again when she was not with Jace. Without spoiling the details, Andi finds a new purpose to share her love and it is a good look on her.

Compared to other books I’ve read by this author, this one has been the most emotion heavy with more intense subplots since all of the main characters go through some incredibly tough circumstances that change who they are. I particularly enjoyed the lesson of never taking love or loved ones for granted and to make everyday matter. Although this one is a departure from the author’s lighter romantic comedies, this one is also a more memorable page turner.

NF 30%. I really wanted to love this book based on the premise and high reviews, but it’s just too YA for me and the author’s obvious lack of firsthand experience about living in NYC is very distracting and keeps taking me out of the story.

Timing is everything and everything happens when is supposed to happen. My mom has always said that and this book is the epitome of that.

Jace and Andrea are meant to be together but their timing is not working for them. I honestly hate the misunderstandings, assumptions and half communication but it happens when you are a teenager and have so many feelings, they are just 18 only at the beginning after all. Sarah Ready has become one of my favourite authors can’t wait to keep reading her work.

This book is an easy read. Simple, spicy romance between an unlikely couple. V is a doctor, while Dave is a bartender. They meet while V is on vacation with her two best friends and the story continues. It's wasn't very unique. I struggled to finish this as it didn't really draw me in

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

What an incredible and moving book - it will definitely stay with me for a long time. Full of emotions that have you on your rollercoaster throughout filled with love, heartbreak, tears and cheers. I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Sarah Ready has quickly become an auto-read for me. The Space Between was not what I expected in a good way. We follow the couple through the ups and downs of life doing everything possible to separate them. This is a beautiful emotional story. It broke my heart and put it back together again. The main characters are such strong individuals and so sure of love as teenagers, yet so innocent when it comes to romance as well. To watch them through the story, fall in love, grow up, change, hurt and keep coming to each other by choice or accident is a beautiful story. Get some tissues and a comfy spot, you will cry sad and happy tears with this one.
