I just finished reading Freida Mcfaddens new book The Coworker and I loved it! It’s only a four star for me because of how many times turtles were mentioned. I loved that throughout the read you realize that all characters are flawed and there’s not one true villain in this story. TY Freida & netgalley for allowing me to read this arc. I was so excited. It’s out now 🥳🥳🥳

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the arc copy of this book. I think it was ok average nothing that really grabbed my attention with this book. I do love this authors wrighting and the books I've read from her. It's a quick read . If your looking for something to read in a couple of days and the work place thriller is your vibe I think you will enjoy this one.

I have loved every Freida McFadden book I’ve read until now. The writing was great but for the first time I could predict every “twist”. I found myself not wanting to keep reading.

WOW !!! Another book full of twists right until the very end. Just when you think you know what is going to happen and Freida throws a curve ball. Great book, gripping from the start and one that I highly recommend !
Many thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review

Freida has done it again! This is a quick read that pulls you in from beginning to end. As always, my suspicions about the characters were incorrect. Great mystery. You can trust no one. Jaw-dropping epilogue. I want to know more! #turtles

Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book. Frieda McFadden is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors for psychological suspense. The Dawn character was fascinating. Definitely enjoyed this fast paced story in a work setting where bullying and lies are used to further one’s agenda. Excellent read!

Okay, so my friends know that I love Freida. She had my heart when I read The Housemaid and I have been trying to make my way through her back catalogue! So of course, I jump at the chance of reading an ARC of her latest release.
When it started, in the first few pages I gasped. The main character, named Natalie, was raising money for cerebral palsy, which I have? I'd like to think that was for me. And even if it wasn't, I don't mind!
This was, as expected from a Freida book, a quick read. Raced through in a couple of sittings. I loved the ending. Whilst it may be a little stretch of reality at times, I still loved it all.

Did you enjoy the movie “Mean Girls”? If the answer is yes, this is the book for you. Welcome to a world where the pretty girl who always got what she wanted is now your coworker- maybe that mean girl does actually have a conscience and cares for others….maybe. In the Coworker, Natalee is a beautiful, well establish sales rep and Dawn, The company accountant, with a fixation on turtles is her cubical neighbor. While the two have little in common, Natalee is friendly to Dawn and worries when always punctual Dawn does not show up to work. Natalee take it upon herself to go to Dawns home and check on her. When she gets there, Dawn is missing and there appears to have been a struggle. Natalee then finds herself as a suspect in Dawns disappearance.
This book is full of twist and turns. You won’t predict the ending of this one!

Freida McFadden did not disappoint with The Coworker. What a ride. I could not figure this book out and when they twist hit I was so surprised but what surprised me more was the second twist. And the ending? Let's just say wow. This is a book I read in one sitting and I was glued to it.

The release date for Freida McFaddens latest book, the coworker, has been circled in my calendar for months. So, needless to say, my excitement going into this was REAL.
Like any of her other books, this is another fantastic, fast paced, popcorn thriller with twists and turns. The main character, Dawn, reminded me a lot of the main character from “The Maid”.
I loved a good 90% of this book but found myself wanting more from the ending. Did anyone else feel that way?
Overall, this gets 4 stars from me! If you’re looking for a new thriller to pick up, this one is a great option!

Thank you to Netgalley @poisonedpenpress Freida McFadden for the copy of The Coworker. I received an early copy; however life! So I had to take off a day to finish it 😝 Once again Freida provides characters you don’t know if you want to hug them or 🤔🧐 remove them!?!? I thought I knew as a Freida Readah who was what! So many twists that I did not see coming!! Thank you Freida for always giving us a page turner you don’t want to put down!!
P.S. This book was released Tuesday I’m just behind!! 😏🥴

Just finished The CoWorker by Freida MacFadden and boy did that book have so many twists and turns. First of all, thanks to #netgalley for an advanced read as well as #poisonpen. The dynamics between Dawn and Natalie was jaw dropping. Spoiler alert-I did not ever figure out that they knew each other prior to working together and I'm pretty good at guessing the plots and to throw in Caleb was chef's kiss. Everything for me was pointing towards Seth or even his wife. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for the next Freida book, the only hiccup I had was "but her emails" (the email exhange between Dawn and Mia). I did not get a good explanation as to how those emails were not factored into Dawn's disappearance by that bumbling detective and for him just to take at face value that she was missing due to her being disoriented...hmmm...but anyway, this book per usual was a thrill to the very end. #NETGALLY #THECOWORKER #POISONPEN

Freida had done it again…another twisty book filled with surprises all the way until the end.
There is a little feud in the office where Dawn and Natalie work. Cheating, lying, stealing…what’s the source of this rift between coworkers?
The tension becomes dangerous when someone goes missing, and naturally the other one is a suspect. Did she do it? If so, why?
Read this book if you like page-turners that you can finish quickly because you have just GOT to know what happens next!

I was given the Arc of this book to read and review from #Netgalley.
This was about a creepy coworker of Natalie Ferell.
The story begins with an email.
Dawn Schiff is in the cubicle next to Natalie. Dawn is strange, overly obsessed with turtles, and REALLY eager to become good friends with Natalie.
One day, Dawn doesn't show up for work. This is unlike her,
and she was to meet with Natalie and also her boss Seth.
Natalie has a feeling that something happened, so she goes to Dawn's house and finds blood on her living room floor.
This is where Natalie's life changes.
There is a dead body, Dawn is missing, and Natalie's fingerprints are all over Dawn's house.
Even though Dawn is missing and emails get out between Dawn and her best friend Mia, saying she was bullied at her job. Natalie is still having her annual 5k run to support kids with cerebral palsy. This was in honor of her "best friend" Amelia, who died when they were younger.
Natalies boyfriend, Caleb goes to the detective on the case and admits that his and Natalie's alibi for the night of Dawn's disappearance was, was false.
Natalie goes to jail and the book goes to part 2.
Dawn is indeed alive. Her best friend Mia is also Natalie's dead friend Amelia. Dawn is seeking revenge for Mia. Natalie and her friend brutally bullied Mia in high school. To the point that Mia took her own life. Dawn wanted Natalie to pay. With the help of Mias brother, Caleb, the love of Dawn's life, and Natalie's boyfriend, Natalie is now facing life in prison. Natalie spends a few nights in jail and then is released on bail. Made by Seth, the boss of Vixed, where they all work. He is also In love with Natalie.
The results of the DNA of the dead body that was thought to be Dawn, surface. It's not Dawn. She plots to take her own life so they have a body. Caleb goes to Natalie for help.
Natalie finds her and stops her. Some how they all become friends and the whole ordeal is dropped, with silent understanding between Natalie and Dawn, life goes on.
This book was well written with a good plot. It was not my favorite book by Freida Mcfadden. Dawn and Natalie got on my nerves. At least it kept my attention and had the twisty turn plot that Freida is famous for. This is just my opinion, Freida is still one of my favorite writers.

I absolutely loved this book! I always think I have the ending figured out then twists and turns keep coming with Freida’s books and this one is no different! I appreciated the chance to read this early!

Definitely unexpected twists, per usual Freida! I especially enjoy that each of her books are totally different from the others. She always keeps me guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out...Bam!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of The Co-Worker. What a great book! A strange co-worker is bullied in the office by an attractive, popular female coworker. What happens when the strange one is missing? She shows up at the same day at same time - until one day she vanishes. The story is great and fast paced. Highly recommend this book!

Freida McFadden has become one of my must-read new authors, based on two of her books thus far. With her latest, The Coworker, hitting the market this week, I was thoroughly enraptured with the main characters. So unlikeable yet I rooted for them in a few unexpected ways. Bullies. Weirdos. Philanderers. That's the focus, at least according to how each have been typecast. Perhaps the layers go deeper. But when you never find the body, how can you really be sure the person is dead? Lots of interesting characters with more backstories that I wanted to learn about, hence why only 4 stars, but still, nice even-paced rollercoaster ride... and by that I mean there was always this underlying tension that brought me up and down until each major twist. Highly recommended.

Another fast paced, brain candy thriller from Freida McFadden! I've been a fan of McFadden's thrillers for awhile now, and get excited for each new novel! I think the building of characters and making a reader think they know the characters and then plotting complete mind blowing twists is McFadden's specialty- and The Coworker is no exception!
The story jumps right into the action, with Natalie showing up to work to find her predictable coworker, Dawn, hasn't shown up. And then there is this strange phone call with someone saying "help me"! Suddenly, Natalie finds herself right at the center of this strange disappearance and slowly little buried secrets start to pop-up, sending Natalie into a frantic race to try to keep herself together and find out what is going on. It is quite the cat and mouse read, but for the reader - knowing who is the cat and who is the mouse isn't so clear!

I fevoured The Coworker by Freida McFadden in 24 hours; unfortunately, I was supposed to be sleeping a number of those hours! I simply could not put it down. Although I saw the plot twists coming, I still found the storyline fascinating and the characters gripping. Excellent book! I have only read one other book by Freida McFadden, which was also excellent, but now I will definitely seek out all her novels!
