Freida does it again!!

This book kept me hooked the whole time, definitely one that I would have read in one sitting if I was able to!

This story follows Natalie, the leading sales person at Vixed, beloved by many, typical popular girl, everyone loves her. But she isn’t always the nicest girl in the office.

Dawn is a little strange, different some would say. But she’s set to make some friends at Vixed, Natalie being one of them.

One day, Natalie received and email that Dawn needs to speak with her, but Dawn never shows. Natalie becomes concerned with Dawns whereabouts, and begins to investigate. It doesn’t take long for Natalie to discover that Dawn had secrets, and these secrets harboured something (or someone) sinister enough to kill.

This book had me changing my guesses constantly, and whenever I thought I was onto something, my theory would change. Highly recommend this one for all thriller fans!

Freida McFadden never disappoints! Her latest book, The Coworker is a fast paced suspense thriller with twists and turns on every page! I could not read this book fast enough and I was kept guessing until the very last sentence of the very last page. Freida McFadden is the master of “I didn’t see that coming!”

I couldn't put it down! It had me guessing - I have my hunches but then, as I read on, I start to think again. Highly recommended for Thriller fans - I 've heard a lot about Freida McFadden, and she really doesn't disappoint! I see another highly requested book, soon in our area.

Dawn Schiff is always precise and timely in everything that she does. One morning, Natalie notices that her strange coworker Dawn has not shown up to work. Then there's the phone call. Suddenly, Natalie finds herself tied to Dawn in a way she never expected. Dawn was murdered, and Natalie is a suspect.

I have never been disappointed by Frieda McFadden. I was not sucked into the story right away like I usually am, but this book is still worth reading for sure. I always try to figure out the twists, and while I was correct about one suspicion, it went way deeper than my initial thought. I don't think I'll be able to look at or talk about turtles again without thinking of this book. Fantastic as always, I am consistently recommending all the Frieda books I have read thus far. This one will be no different.

A HUGE thank you to Poisoned Pen Press (THANK YOU MANDY) for approving me to read and review The Coworker before it comes out! Purchase this book on or after August 29th. It's a great read!

Dawn is an accountant at vixed, a vitamin supplement company. she never says the right thing, is obsessed with turtles, has no friends, and is always exactly on time. when Dawn doesn’t show up one morning, it worries her coworker Natalie, the beautiful and popular top sales rep at the company. Natalie then receives a strange and scary phone call from a blocked number. Natalie finds herself tied to Dawn and trying to figure out where she is. it becomes a twisted game of cat and mouse trying to figure out who’s the real victim…. and figure out who hates Dawn enough to want to kill her?

i’ve read a lot of frieda’s work and this is by far my favorite! the way this was executed was perfect - the chapters with the emails have great insight, and the present day ones kept me on my feet. while i was able to guess one small plot twist, i didn’t guess any of the overarching ones, and in true Frieda fashion, i was shocked! i loved the ending of this, the pace of it, and everything about it. Frieda knocked it out of the park with this one!

Wow ok. Where to start! In typical Freida McFadden style you are sucked in from the very first page. I can't say too much without giving it away except it won't be what you think and then and some. I thought I had it figured out so many times and then BAM! Honestly had whiplash with the twists in this and don't even get me started on the Epilogue.
Ten stars off me

The Coworker by Freida McFadden was another quick read that was so enjoyable. The twists are wonderful, when I go to Part 2 of the book I was in complete shock I was not expecting what happened. Then the additional twists that were added especially at the end it was pure perfection for me. If you love a fast-paced, multiple twists thriller definitely get this one when it comes out on August 29th. I know Freida isn't for everyone but I personally love her books.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

Let me say that Fredia McFadden has done it again!👑👑

So many secrets and so many twists!!! I thought I had it figured out but I was totally wrong!😳🤯 Totally lured me in and blindsided me yet again with the ending. Another amazing psychological thriller! I binge read this one in a day.

I was thoroughly entertained by the characters in this book. The office barbie, Natalie👠, with her perfect sales, top in the company, the awkward accountant, Dawn🧮, who is obsessive and possibly on the spectrum. When Dawn doesn't arrive to work one morning it is a little concerning to her coworker who then gets an alarming phone call☎️. Is Dawn in trouble or is Natalie?

This book was an easy read that left me wanting more at every turn. Thank you for allowing me to get the advanced copy! I look forward to what you will be releasing next and hopefully very soon! 🐢🐢

Reviewed on Goodreads and in Facebook groups! I will continue to share my review!!

This was one of my favorite Freida McFadden books. I loved the story and it grabbed my attention right from the beginning. I also enjoyed reading it because every workplace has its own drama, and that's certainly true of the office portrayed in this story.

I didn't think there were any slow points in the book. There were a lot of twists and I like how the author mixed it up with some letters from the characters in the book. And holy moly the twists. I thought I had it figured out, but once again the author has me fooled.

I couldn’t put it down. Except for the prologue, I read it one day.

Dawn is a perfectionist, bordering on obsessive person. She is punctual and unsociable, but longs to have someone she can call a friend. She is obsessed with turtles. Not land turtles, sea turtles.
Natalie, who works in the next door cubicle is a popular, outgoing and beautiful woman. She is surprised when Dawn is late for work, and takes a call in Dawn's cubicle and hears Dawn plead to be helped.
Natalie doesn't realise how entwined her life is to Dawn's, and how her life will change when she is accused of an unspeakable deed.

It is difficult to describe this book without giving away any spoilers. But it is totally engrossing, as all of Freida McFadden's books are, with wicked twists and turns.
I can never predict any of the twists in Freida's books, but I did in this one.
The main characters were thoroughly unlikeable, self absorbed and selfish. Perfect characters for a thriller!

Thanks to Netgalley, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Freida can do no wrong in my eyes! All her books are an easy 5/5 ⭐️

I absolutely hated the characters in the best way! I loved how she twists her characters and you almost never see it coming!

This book is a perfect example of how our past can haunt us!

First things first! I loved it! The set up of this book was easily a page turner. The POV switched between Natalie in the present, and emails that Dawn had sent to various people months before her murder. I binged this so quickly (which is no surprise for me and a Freida McFadden book). The emails were my favorite because dawn was so WEIRD and I loved it 😂.

I would say that this was a bit less twisty than her other books, the ending wasn’t as wild as I thought it would be. But, the entire book was such a fun listen. There was enough going on that it really kept me intrigued, but not too much to where it was overwhelming. I felt this was equally character driven and plot driven, which is my favorite. I loved Dawn’s character. She was perfectly entertaining! 🥰🥰. Can’t wait to add the physical book to my collection when it releases!

Thanks so much to @NetGalley for the ALC!

I was chosen by Netgalley to be an ARC reader for this book. The writing draws you in as always with Freida McFaddens' works. The plot was good, I felt like the twists were too much for me. If you love Freida you will love this book!

Part 1 of this book had me convinced I knew what what happening, who killed who, who was victim and who was a bully, who was to blame and who was in on it. Part 2 shows up and blew all that up. I was wrong about everything. Part 2 was twist after twist. It was a shocking turn of events. 5 stars ⭐️

Freidas books always put my suspicions on high alert. As I read them I’m always thinking about who could possibly be involved in the crime. I love the way she works my mind! Well done Freida. You never disappoint.

Freida has done it again! I absolutely loves this book and read it in less than 24 hours. I had to know what happened next after every chapter. The twists and turns were shocking, I did not see them coming! Awesome read, I definitely recommend to anyone!

Excited to read my favorite authors new book! This one was okay for me. The first half of the book was a little boring. The second was fast paced and my jaw dropped open a few times. Of course the ending was totally unexpected which I love! Overall it was a good read!

The Coworker is the upcoming thriller novel by Freida McFadden. It is supposed to release on 29th August. I have read three books by the author and was very excited to read this.

The story is about Natalie, who is a beautiful, popular, top sales rep whose life turns upside-down when she's suspected of murdering her shy and awkward coworker Dawn. Surprisingly evidence stars piling up against her which confuses her as to who's the real victim, Dawn or her?

I found this book decent enough but not as good and twisted as the previous ones. I could guess some things and was surprised with some revelations. So I can say it is kind of a mixed feeling that I have. The buildup was good, but sometimes the middle it stretched and few things are not clear at the end

I did finish the book fast as I expected to be bombarded with twists like the previous book. Sadly not many came along. Maybe I had too much expectations from the book.

For beginners in this genre, this will be very well enjoyed but dedicated fans like me, especially the fans of the author will be a bit disappointed.

Thank you so much for the ARC @netgalley @poisonedpenpress
