I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I have never heard of this author. The storyline is well written. I loved the time jumps. Equal heartache and happiness made for a great book, I listened to the audiobook. The narrators were perfect for this book. I will read more from
This author and listen to more from these narrators.

"The best way to move through grief is to concentrate on the right now. Not the past, not the future. Just this moment right here. That small space between the past and the future. Like the moment between the inhale and the exhale."

It took me a long time to gather myself to write this review. This was an emotional rollercoaster and the narrators did an incredible job of taking us on this journey. I think I'm going to be in the extreme minority here, but the romance that I enjoyed the most really surprised me. I actually loved the middle of the book the best. Watching the tender romance bloom between Andi and Reed kind of stole my heart. The way she took care of him and then his daughter was the real love story for me. And I did especially love that this book showcased so well that there are so many different types of love in our life. But Ready did such an incredible job with this part of the book that I had trouble moving on to the end. But to me, the real takeaway was to be open to all types of love and opportunities in our life. We never truly know who that person may be.

Thank you to NetGalley, the Publisher, author, and narrator for an advanced copy of this audiobook! All opinions are my own.

This has to be my favourite Sarah Ready book so far, and several of her previous ones have been among my top reads!

I just have a serious bone to pick about the mispronunciation of the name of a celebrity that is used frequently throughout the book - by Jace’s character who’s family idolizes him. Louis Armstrong. He is also one of my idols as a former musician (and “What a Wonderful World” is one of my top songs of all time) … I truly hope each mention of the name is re-recorded before this audio book actually releases. I was horrified every time the male narrator said Lewis Armstrong! His name is Louis (French pronunciation, Lou-E, NOT Lewis). I was tempted to switch to reading only the ebook because it was that distracting and cringey.

Other than that, this has to be one of the best books I’ve read, with massive character development, for Jace, between the members of Jace’s family, Andrea accepting her fate, as well as their former classmate who plays a major part in their story. I enjoyed every moment and couldn’t put it down - I binged the whole 13 hours/ 500 pages in a single sitting! It’s truly that amazing! A true 5-star read!

The time jump idea isn’t normally something I am too fond of, but it really works well for this storyline. I really wanted to smack a lot of the characters - a sign that Ready wrote them perfectly! This book made me go through so many emotions in such a short time, but mostly they were just plain happiness. It’s brilliant and it’s hard to say too much without giving away the plot. Andrea is a fantastic character while Jace is perfectly flawed but lovable.

I definitely recommend this one to all, but go for the ebook if that name pronounciation problem isn’t corrected. The narrators were both new voices to me, and while I enjoyed the performance of Andrea by Rachel F. Hirsch, I think I was jaded against James Fouhey from the start because of the “Lewis” mistakes, but his performance was fine (nothing incredible).

I received an advance read and listen copy from NetGalley and W.W. Crown (Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles/Members' Audiobooks), and this is my honest opinion.

Jace and Andy meet in Central Park and their fate is sealed. They are each others person, heart, soul, happiness and forever. They don’t care that they are from opposite sides of the track and have lived very different lives, for them love is enough. Until it isn’t. And when it is seemingly over they both lead separate lives and yet can’t let go no matter where their lives take them. Fame and fortune, love, responsibility, family and yet they still can’t let go. It’s a long, circuitous, emotional road they each take to finding their forever happiness. I absolutely adored listening to this wonderful book. The ups, the downs, the characters and the narrator made an already wonderful story even better. Sarah Ready is fast becoming a favorite author of mine. This was a real feel good happily ever after. I also loved that her NYC references were spot on accurate.

This is a wild roller coaster ride of emotions. They find their soulmates young but life, circumstances and people get in their way to happiness. Jace and Andrea are interesting, relatable, intriguing characters. I liked them from the start and enjoyed their growth throughout the story. There were many aspects of their romance that I loved and a few that I wish had been done differently. I like the secondary characters and found that they added to the fabric of the story.

I listened to this book on audio and really enjoyed the narrators. They brought me into the story and held me there.

TW: death of parents; mention of child abuse; discussion about a suicide attempt; death on page; fight against and death from cancer.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley and W.W. Crown for this advanced audiobook of The Space Between by Sarah Ready! I’m going to start off by saying this is probably one of my new favorite books of 2023!

This had everything you need in a love story: a meet cute, attraction, complication, electricity, and a great reveal. The character development was on point too. This was one big emotional rollercoaster and I was completely here for it. I love a second chance romance and the insta-love aspect was done very well (I’m usually not a fan). The dual POV, the narration, the musical aspect, & all of the traveling were the cherries on top of this sweet story.

If you need different kinds of love, this will fill your heart and soul! Sarah Ready, you sure have a way with words! I can’t wait until your next book. Please hurry up!

This was an excellent audiobook. It pulls the heart strings so have you're tissues ready for tears.
It's an interesting layout with time jumps and certainly takes liberty with suspension of disbelief but still a very enjoyable book that I highly recommend.

This book was great. So many emotions while reading it. At the beginning I wasn’t a fan of the characters, but as time went on and they grew, I began to enjoy them more. Not just the MC’s but the side ones as well. At the beginning there were plenty of YA vibes. I am not a fan of YA so I am glad it went past that and the last 2/3’rds were not YA feeling. I do wish that the first part of the book was shorter, and more time was spent when Jace and Andrea/Andi were older. This was a cute read with some real intense moments. This is a good book club book as there are many themes to discuss. Sarah Ready always delivers!

The Space Between is an amazing epic love story. It just might be the best love story I have ever read. I couldn't have loved it more.

Andi and Jace come from different worlds. She is a socialite and he is from the wrong side of the tracks. Yet they fall in love and start a whirlwind love affair. Their love is everything they need until life tears them apart.

The Space Between starts as a beautiful YA romance and then it rips your heart out. In the best way. Like a guttural punch. It hurt. A LOT. I needed to take a break.

There are so many different types of love in this book. Loving with your heart, loving with your head and loving with everything in the space between. (see what I did there 😉)

Jace and Andrea come from two very different worlds. They’re young and idealistic when they first meet. They need nothing but each other and the love that they feel. Sadly nothing lasts forever and a misunderstanding has them going their separate ways. The Space Between follows Jace and Andrea as they grow and learn to live (for better or worse) without each other in the hope that someday, maybe, they might find one another again.

The Space Between is a heart-wrenching second chance romance. This stand-alone novel is told from dual POVs. I generally prefer dual POV and it was definitely necessary with this story.

This book is an absolute “gut punch” in the best way possible. I have nothing in common with either of the main characters but the connection I felt for them is unreal. The storyline is a beautiful if not somewhat tragic journey from start to finish. This book will probably make you cry but the tears are worth it.

I had the opportunity to listen to an early copy of the audiobook after I read through the ebook. It is dual narrated by Rachel F. Hirsch and James Fouhey. I was not previously familiar with either of these narrators but I think they both did an excellent job with the material.

I don’t know how she does it but Sarah Ready continues to wow me with every new release. I'm not sure if my emotions can make it but I'm looking forward to whatever she has for her readers next.

So, I just finished "The Space Between" by Sarah Ready, and it's a romance novel that promises an epic love story with all the feels. We meet Andrea and Jace, and from the get-go, they're convinced they're meant to be together.

Okay, one cool thing about this book was the audiobook - they had dual narrators! I love audiobooks that do this, I think it adds to the story and mades it more fun.

But here's the thing - I had a bit of trouble feeling super invested in the story. The whole insta-love vibe was way too fast for my taste. Like, seriously, they were head over heels almost immediately, and it felt a bit rushed. I needed more time to believe in their connection and really root for their romance.

The story had potential, and the whole redemption and found family theme was cool. But the quick romance didn't totally work for me. Everyone's different though, so you may find it to be something you’re interested in!

In a nutshell, "The Space Between" delivers on the promise of an epic love story, and the dual narration in the audiobook was a cool touch. But the insta-love thing left me a tad disconnected from the characters and their love. It might still be a fantastic book for you if you're into fast-paced romance, but for me, it didn't hit all the right spots. I would still recommend giving it a try if it sounds like something you would be interested in!

4 stars!

The Space Between is a beautiful second chance love story. It's warm and touching while still dealing with real life topics. I really enjoyed the character development and how the story developed over the course of their lives. I've never ready anything by Sarah Ready, but will absolutely read more. *I listened to the audiobook and it was also amazing!*
The story includes lots of twists and turns and doesn't follow a typical trope, which I found refreshing. There's heartbreak and happiness, I laughed I cried! It's an amazing journey that I will probably revisit in the future.

I could not put this book down. I was invested in the love story between Andy and Jace from the very beginning. Andy is a wealthy girl from the Upper East Side. Jace is an orphaned musician who believes in love. The two feel destined to be together despite their differences. There were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming, and I loved them. This was a great contemporary romance and I've already recommended it to friends! Although I could have done without the epilogue.

What an emotional book! It was beautifully written. I was emotionally invested in both main characters, their lives, their relationship and their ending. It was well written, the inner thoughts of the characters were realistic and understood. I found myself feeling all the emotions of the characters and wanting to be a part of their lives. A story about growth, about challenges, about love. About what happens with your perfect love story has a challenge thrown its way. How to overcome obstacles, challenges and emotional difficulties. A beautifully written story - just be prepared for the tears.
Thank you netgalley for my advanced reader copy.

This book was way heavier and more emotional than I realized. I really enjoyed my advanced copy of French Holiday by Sarah Ready so I requested this one without really looking into it. I really enjoyed it, but be warned, it’s very heavy.

This heart-warming and emotional book follows Jace and Andrea as they navigate first love, heartbreak, family dynamics, and everything in between. It’s captivating and sweet, but heartbreaking at the same time. Get ready to feel all the feels. Seriously, so many feelings. Jace and Andrea were both likable characters. The in between time focused solely on Andrea. It would have been nice to get a little bit more insight on Jace’s life.

The Space Between is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. This is a book that had me so immersed in the characters and their love story, I never wanted to put it down. It will be on my mind and in my heart for a long time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♾️

Andi and Jace have known since the moment they met that they were meant to be together, even though they were only seventeen at the time.

Coming from different worlds, this is nearly impossible. Andrea (Andi) is from a wealthy family, where she feels like a pawn in their games - and never love. Jace’s life is completely opposite, filled with love of family and friends, but without money.

Jace is the first person to see Andi for who she is, and love her for it. Andi is the one to help pull Jace’s music out of him, something that was lost when his parents died.

We see their lives, their love, and love lost and found over several time periods. This was such an emotional journey for me. It ripped my heart out several times, and thankfully eventually put it back together. My heart is heavy, but full.

I tandem read this - ebook and audiobook - and both were wonderful! The narrators (James Fouhey & Rachel F. Hirsch) did a phenomenal job at capturing the depth and emotions of this love story.

What you’ll find in The Space Between:
⭐️ Different Worlds
⭐️ Soulmates
⭐️ First love
⭐️ Musician
⭐️ Song lyrics
⭐️ Rich girl/poor boy
⭐️ Found family
⭐️ Emotional read
⭐️ Multiple timelines
⭐️ Dual POV/first person

I honestly feel so conflicted with my review here...I know this is a book I will constantly think about because this story is so wonderfully told and written, but there were also moments of this book I absolutely hated, but without them this book wouldn't sit with me the way it does. It all works together to create such a beautiful story that will have you laughing, crying, swooning, and so much more. Andi and Jace's story is so heartbreakingly beautiful, and it is about so much more than romantic love that I can't rate it anything less than 5 stars.

Jace and Andi meet just before they turn 18 and graduate high school and the connection they have is instant. Told in three parts this story follows Jace and Andi through three important times in their lives. It tells the story of how music can save you and how love can be some of the most beautiful real life magic a person can experience.

I've sat with this book for a few days now and I'm still blown away by how much this book impacted me. I hate that I don't know what I want to say about this book, it's like I have so much I want to say, but I also don't want to spoil a single thing about this book. The characters are perfect for this story, their connections to each other are perfectly written, and all of it together creates such a powerful story. A story I would highly recommend and the narrators of this audio did a great job brining it all together.

✔️ Different World
✔️ Love Letter to Music
✔️ Found Family
✔️ Complicated and Emotional
✔️ Beautiful Writing
✔️ First Person Dual POV

I adored this book! This is probably my favorite Sarah Ready book now with no doubt. It had a little bit of everything. There's angst, rockstar, friends to lovers, tears and so much more.

Jace and Andrea meet and that's it. They know it's love and of course nothing can come between them because they love each other. Right? Hmmmm. Not necessarily.

Jace is from the wrong side of "the tracks." and Andrea is from so much money it should be sinful. They are complete opposites but yet they work. But when a misunderstanding comes between them, Andrea isn't sure how to move on. In fact, she doesn't do it well. She basically goes through the motions of living without allowing emotion to enter in. Eventually someone from her past helps her to remember that life is made to be lived. And eventually she will see Jace again....but will they ever find their way back to one another or is their time past?

This is simply such a wonderful book. It broke my heart and put it back together and then broke it again and then put it back together several times. There was just so much emotion written into these pages and I soaked it all up. I love it when an author writes a book that makes me feel so much and this was definitely one of those books. It was a true gift.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: I really enjoyed the narration for this book. It kept me engaged and connected to the story. 4 1/2 stars

If you like the Notebook or other romances that slowly rip your heart out until you’re just left with a gaping chasm, then you’ve come to the right place. And then the last five chapters of this book will stitch you back into place!
I loved the first 50% of the book! It felt like the perfect coming-of-age love story about a boy, a girl, and the boy’s guitar. Then the book ripped my heart out and stomped on it. But watching their journeys through life to find each other again slowly stitched me back together.
I love the message about finding someone that will love you for your flaws, which isn’t present only in Jace and Andi’s relationship, but also in Jace’s relationships with his family and band mates and Andi’s relationships with Reid and her mom.
I also thought the narrators did a great job at conveying the wide arrange of emotions that Andi and Jace go through.
