I am not crying! I am not crying! I am not crying!
The Space Between by Sarah Ready, narrated by James Fouhey and Rachel F. Hirsch is a truly deep and heartbreaking love story that makes you believe that true love exists!
I loved it! I loved it so much that it become my new favorite love story! Probably because I lived through a tragically perfect love story/heartbreak I can relate to this book on an unbelievably deep level.
This audiobook is presented from Jace and Andrea's point of view and narrated by James Fouhey as Jace and Rachel F. Hirsch as Andrea. They both did such an amazing job, they made this story so alive! There was so much emotion in their voice. I cried! This story broke my heart more than one time! I can't imagine it's possible to deliver this story better than it's already been delivered by James and Rachel.

This is a love story about Jace, Andrea, and Reece. About such a deal love that makes you go through fire and ocean, love that keeps alive for years and years!
This is a story between the rich and the poor. This is a story about what we can or can't buy with money. This book will show you that not everything is how it looks like! There are more deep layers to every story!

I do recommend this book to everyone who treasures a real, deep, heartbreaking love! "Me before you" was my all-time favorite love story but now "The Space Between" takes over!

My favorite quotes from this book:
"His love is like a morning mist - so light, so cool!"
"His love is always been like a wave crashing over me and lifting me up!"
"His love is my ocean!"
"There is a love so big, a song so beautiful that it heals the world!"

I can't express how grateful I am to NetGalley and W. W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) for a chance to listen to this audiobook!

I started off, listening to this book as an audiobook however, it got so good that I couldn’t help but to have to read and listen simultaneously. From the prologue, I was absolutely captured. Andi and Jace has such a palpable chemistry that I was instantly connected. The narrators told their story so well, and the voices made it so entertaining to listen to. The plot line of this book was so well executed. I did not expect anything that was in part two, but by the end of that part, I was sobbing. I felt so deeply for these characters and even reading into part three, I kept wiping tears as the story completely enraptured me. I will say, there was a happily ever after, which completely makes it worth reading, but even so the story was told flawlessly. I didn’t expect some of the twists that came with the story, but that’s what made it even better. The side characters had the same depth and emotion as the main characters and I fell in love with them too. This tells the story of true love, the love that we all search for. This book very much reminds me of Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren and Love, Rosie by Cecilia Ahern, in the best ways. This is a book that will be sticking with me for a long time because of its beautiful love story and poignant characters. An absolute must read! 5⭐️, 2🌶

Listen if you love the upper east side cut throat world of Gossip Girl mixed with the torture of Nicholas Sparks then you will love this book. If you do not like that then this is not the book for you.

Andie grew up in the upper east side, the family of luxury but a girl all alone and lonely. She meets Jace, the young vibrant young singer from the Bronx and they fall in love. They are separated through people lying and interfering in their love and then bam fast forward years later and honestly this is where I was getting into the book again with the entrance of Reid, the single dad but then that whole plot was dragged out and then just lost me. I was them doomed to finish this damn book until it ended. I know I am really selling this book right now but sometimes make the plot have a POINT and make it move please I am begging. Otherwise it is like one torture fest. This book needed to be 200 pages shorter and it would have been better. Not 100% my tea but better.

My only dislike with the male narrator is that he pronounced Louis Armstrong's name incorrectly every time. Other than than he did a wonderful job capturing the voice and the emotion of Jace. The female narrator voicing Andi did a fabulous job evoking the emotion into the story. Her voice changes for each character were top tier! This was GREAT! It started out with a traditional love story that seemed a bit predictable, feeling a lot like a Romeo and Juliet retelling. As the book progressed the storyline went from great to amazing. I was laughing, giggling, fuming, sobbing actual tears, and back to giggling again. There are two explicitly spicy scenes that are delectably good! The moral of the story that I interpreted is that life has a boundless amount of paths and sometimes we are pushed onto a path not of our choosing but we have to keep the fire in our soul lit and live life to the fullest.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the audio book in exchange for an honest review!
This was a heartbreaking story about Andy (Andrea) and Jace. They came from completely different upbringings/neighborhoods and met by chance at Central Park.
We get alternating POVs and I enjoyed both voices on the audio book. Both narrators did an excellent job with conveying all the emotions that the characters in the story were going through. And there were a lot of emotions! This book broke my heart at least twice and I loved every minute of it. Absolutely recommend for anyone that enjoys an emotional ride with characters you care about from the beginning.

Wow! This story is a saga for sure. It’s so good. Such a beautiful love story.

I enjoyed the audiobook. One of narrator’s voices was similar to the voice of Cameron Diaz. The story flowed well on audio.

Thank you to the NetGalley and the publisher for the advance digital and audio copies of this book.

A beautiful story spanning the spark of a romance and the obstacles that tear them apart, along with what happened in the years following before they meet again (the space between).
Andrea Leighton-Hughes comes from the wealthy high life of the Upper East Side, born into a cutthroat family business. Meanwhile, Jace Morgan is a rough-cut musician from the Bronx. Neither fit with the others’ lives and yet fate has them intertwined. But when a series of obstacles pull them away, what will it take to bring them back and is it too late?
I wasn’t sure where this would go at first, but wow it blew me away! The narrators for Jace and Andrea were also wonderful as the novel goes back and forth from their perspectives.
Thank you to W.W. Crown for the ARC. You can catch this one on July 25!

This book was fantastic! It told a love story in a way that felt honest and complicated and raw. The characters were all flawed but felt so human. There were twist that were unexpected but there were also moments that you knew were going to happen and that was comforting. It was the perfect summer read.

The Space Between by Sarah Ready is the story of Jace and Andi, two people from absolute opposite lifestyles whose friendship and love story is told from dual point of views.

Andi is a daughter of wealth who is expected to live her life a specific way and Jace is the orphaned son from lower income parents who is trying to be successful in a band with his brothers. The story without giving away spoilers is their lives with contact and without through the years.

I'm already a fan of Sarah Ready and this book does not disappoint. I rooted for Jace and Andi to find their way to each other and was hooked from the Prologue.

I was lucky enough to get this in both ebook and audio, I read the book first and then listened to it. The narrators captured the characters perfectly and drew me into the story.

You won't be disappointed in either version.

I will read/listen to anything and everything that Sarah Ready writes--I fell in love Ready's writing when I listened to French Holiday, I didn't think that anything could stand up to that one as it quickly jumped to a Top Read of the year contender then she brought me this cast of characters and I don't think I will ever be the same. Knowing how much I enjoyed French Holiday and that catapulting me into making my way through her published works and never being disappointed--as soon as I saw another Sarah Ready I immediately requested without even reading the synopsis, I was unprepared for the emotional roller coaster.

The Space Between centers around Andy and Jace who come from two different worlds yet have a love that is irrevocable, that soul mate nothing else will ever measure up. Outside entities and tragedy tear them apart and it isn't until years later when their paths cross again that the truth comes out. This story had me all over the place. It was beautiful, tender, and has further solidified Ready as one of my favorite authors.

The narration was done beautifully and in a way that helps you feel every single emotion.

Aloe tissue is absolutely necessary with this one.

Sarah Ready did it again!

The plot didn't bring me into the story at first, but I persisted through the audiobook and I really enjoyed it! I'm not into love at first sight trope, and it was very juvenile (the characters were 17 when you meet them), but I loved their growth throughout the story. Especially Andi and her arch-nemesis Reid.

I didn't think I was going to cry, but I bawled like a baby.

This has a relatively simple premise; the ups and downs of a love story (between Jace and Andi) spread across many years.

Thank you to Netgalley for the audio copy in return for an honest review.

I found the character of Andi really compelling, and I loved watching her story unfold. Jace didnt really connect with me but he was a fine character all the same.

I'm not a big fan of whirlwind, love-at-first-sight romances, so their initial declarations of love and marriage at the age of seventeen was a bit much for me. It was actually their time apart that drew me on the most. Some of the characters had amazing journeys of growth (Andi and her childhood enemy, Reid, in particular), which I really enjoyed, but this really highlighted the lack of growth for others (i wanted to see more layers from Reid and his family).

Although the book didnt want me to pick it up until i finished it, it still had me interested enough to finish and by the end i was glad i persisted.

3 stars .

When I first started listening to this, I didn’t have great expectations. But now, after an entire day spent with headphones on and a growing pile of teary-used tissues, I realize how wrong I was. This book was good. So much heartbreak and joy. I loved it and I hope you will, too. 4.5 Stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and W. W. Crown, IBPA Members' Audiobooks for this complimentary ARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Ok. I loved this book. Thanks so much to @netgalley for the ARC. Jace was a musically talented kid from the poor side of town, and he met Andi, who ends up being from an incredibly wealthy family. There’s so much love, dealing with trauma, and evolving relationships over a decade. I absolutely ugly cried while reading this, and despite this audiobook clocking in at over 13 hours, it held my attention rapt. Excellent narration!

Don’t mind me as I type my review through tears! WOW!! What an incredible story! I loved every second of it!! I felt so many emotions, happiness, anger, annoyance, sadness, love!!! The narrators were amazing and really made me feel those things! I will recommend this to EVERYONE!!!!

Like the alternating narrators, male vs female. But I wish it was throughout the whole book instead of chapter to chapter based on POV. It would’ve been nice to always have a male narrator for make characters and female for remained BUT I will say, at leas there was some variation. This also helped keep track of whose POV we were in while listening to the audio. I also can’t say I enjoyed the lyrics that were spoken by the narrator, but I have yet to see a narrator do song lyrics justice - so I won’t count that against the book/production.

I’m not a huge fan of the, “a man needs to save me” trope but this was endearing and I did like the growth of the characters throughout the story. The love between the two was a bit far-fetched but hey, that’s what we look for in a beach read romance right? I do like, that while Andy does follow Jace, she still is doing so in a strong way by standing up to her family to make her life her own. There was the Romeo and Juliet feel that I quite liked too. On top of the main storyline of Jace and Andy, I did also love the family feel of Jace and his brothers. It was heartwarming and sweet, how they stick together and take on the world as a unit.

I enjoyed the writing a lot. The descriptions were beautiful throughout, whether through the characterization or scenery descriptions I found myself feeling fully transported into the story. I also liked the bits of humor sprinkled in that made me chuckle as I read.

All and all, it was a cute, summery read. A bit too “sunshine and roses” for my cynical self but an overall good listen.

Jace and Andrea met one day in Central Park as teenagers and just knew they were meant to be. But Andrea was born into an ultra successful family and lives on the upper east side and must follow the rules that go with that life. Jace is a musical prodigy from he Bronx who truly sees her for who she really is. He and his brothers aspire to make music for all the world to hear someday and Andrea is his muse. No one from either side of their families gets their connection. And despite that, life is beautiful for them until it isn’t anymore. Her arch rival, who her parents have wanted her to marry since she was born, adds a twist to her life that she can’t say no to, especially when her heart is broken. This is the story of when Jace and Andrea met the first time and when they reunited many years later and the lives they lived in between.
It was told from the POV of both Andrea and Jace and the audiobook was well done, even though I found the story a little too long. Was a cute wrap up with the ending though.
Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for the audiobook in exchange for my review.

This really is a captivating story, written in an immersive writing style and told from the dual PoV of Andi/Andrea, a double personality uptown girl and Jace, an orphaned musician. There is a great dynamic between all of the characters, with you feeling invested in their welfare from the first chapter, and even the character of Reid, who is easy to hate initially, you come to love in a way you would never have expected. The story is a real emotional rollercoaster, which is both heartbreaking (I cried buckets) and heartwarming. Family betrayal had my heart aching, with me dying to find out what happened next and for the wrongs to be put right: But as the relationships developed, they felt natural and authentic, perfectly demonstrating that it is possible to love in more than one way. I listened to the audio version of the book, with dual narrators and I thoroughly enjoyed it: But I also requested the ebook, because I couldn't put the book down, alternating between reading and listening to the story (huge thanks to NetGallery for the read/listen now for this most excellent of reads). The book is out on July 25, 2023 and I cannot recommend it enough.

Initially I was slow to engage with this book, but it soon picked up and took off like a race car! Andrea Leighton-Hughes comes from an extremely wealthy, but unfeeling, upper east side family. She moves through the world like a sharp edged teen ice queen, the best way not to be hurt. That is until she defends Jace, a boy she does not know, from being beaten by some of her "peers". It is in that meeting that the edges soften and Andrea becomes Andi.

Jace is from the Bronx, and he already knows heartbreak. His parents died when he was young and he blames himself for their deaths. His father always said the "music heals" and Jace and his brothers found their salve through their band. Now Jace has his muse - Andi. This does not sit well with either Andi's family or the band.

This not a trite story of love conquers all, This is a complex tale of that first love that burns in you like nothing you have experienced before. It is layered with the times when music would emit form your soul and out the pore of your skin. Burning so intensely that combustion is inevitable.

How do you move on? How do you live in the space between what was and what is? How do you transition from who your were to who you must become? There are many twists in the story which make it such a compelling read. Sarah Ready does an amazing job of taking what could have been an over told story of boy meets girl into something much more meaningful. it is a story of the human experience as Andi moves from loving Jace, to loving herself. It is only then that we are open to what comes next.

My thanks to NetGalley and Sarah Ready for the advanced audio copy of this book.

Jace and Andrea met one fateful day in Central Park and knew that they were meant to be. Andrea was born into a wealthy family and lives in the upper East side. She must follow the rules and present a certain image. Jace is the only person who sees who she truly is. Jace is a musical prodigy from the Bronx. He and his brothers have goals of setting the world on fire with their music. Andrea inspires him every day.

Their romance is not understood by those in their life. No one gets their connection. Why didn't anyone explain to them that opposites attract?????

Sarah Ready has wowed me once again. She has created two characters that I cared about and rooted for. Of course, this being a Sarah Ready book, I knew a wrench was going to be thrown into the works. Everything is bliss for the couple until it isn't.

This book is about what happens when life turns the tables on you. Just one night and their lives changed forever.

The Space Between shows Jace and Andrea falling in love, what tears them apart, and the space between. This was a bittersweet tale that touches on loss, grief, love, overcoming obstacles, finding your family, deception, and family dynamics.

I listened to the audiobook and thoroughly enjoyed it. This book had me feeling all kinds of emotions while listening. Like her other books, I found this book to be heartwarming, heartbreaking, emotional, riveting, and sweet.

I enjoyed how the book is told through both Andrea's and Jace's POV. It was nice getting into their heads, but I wished that they had equal time. This in between parts is mainly about Andrea and her life. I would have liked to learn more about Jace and his time apart from her as well. That is my one issue with the book.

Captivating, well written, well thought out and emotional.
