I was not sure what to expect with this book, but let me tell you what I did not like....NOTHING!
From the very first chapter to the end, the young love that spilled over to adults was captivating. At age 17 Jace has met Andy a girl in the park that saved him and literally has pushed herself into his life. Although she does not reveal herself to him as the daughter of one of New York's wealthiest men or that she is held to very high society standards.
Jace on the other hand comes from an average family but is also quite the musical prodigy, when his parents are no longer able to care for him and his brothers they set out to make it on their own in the music industry. Life starts to get serious for the band with an offer to take it on the road. Andy does not want to be without Jace and Jace does not want to be without Andy so she decides to go on the road with them but not everyone is happy about that.
In a turn of events at a concert life turns around for them. The ups and downs that follow for the next 16 years have you wondering where it will all end up. Who will they end up with and does true love last forever?

I was given an Advanced Listening Copy by Netgalley, Sarah Ready for an honest review. This book was Narrated by James Fouhey & Rachel F. Hirsch they couldn't have picked a better duo for this audio version. Their voices toke you right to the scene of all the action. The back and forth between them worked perfectly.

Andrea, child of a rich and high class family, finds herself picking up the pieces and defending off the boys who mug a young Jace. They then become quite the friends and find themselves falling in love. Timing wasn't right for them and they find themselves apart from each other both longing for the young love they once had.
The series of events that happen through this book left me passionate for both Jace and Andrea. Those that came between them made me angry and I wanted to just tell everyone the truth. Then when Andy (Andrea) finds herself in love and soon to marry another, Reed, I find myself liking him too. This book took me through a whirlwind of emotions. It was a strong romance with a 1/5 on steam but a 5/5 stars.

Super cute! Im not usually one for the sweet and cute romances but Sarah Ready has written two of my favourites so far!

Although I am not a big romance fan, this is my fourth [author: Sarah Ready|20871147] novel. I totally enjoyed both of the Josh and Gemma stories; additionally read [book: French Holiday] which was also a fun read.
This is the story of Andrea and Jace who have found each other but no one can understand their love.
Andrea (Andi) Leighton-Hughes—is from a wealthy NY family. But she has been hiding her true self with lies.
Jace is the first and only person to see who she truly is.
Jace Morgan is from the wrong side of town but grew in a family who loved each other as well as loved music. Mom and Dad as well as Jace and his two brothers River and Dean formed a ‘Family Band’ and practiced I their small apartment. The neighbors never complained as they were good and everyone enjoyed their music. Now that the boys are adults they are trying to do whatever they can to make in the music world. Andrea is the first and only person who has helped Jace to play from his heart.
Jace and Andi part ways- Jace follows his dream of a music career. Andi marries Reid someone whose family is also wealthy. Although Jace tried to stop their wedding which took place in Central Park, they still parted ways. We follow their lives and how they both grew and finally healed and twenty years they once again meet in Central Park.
I wasn’t sure about this tory when I continued to I read I was curious and found I was enjoying the story.
My feeling reminded me of a comment I read from Romance Author, Katherine Center when told by many readers that they didn’t care for a romance novel as they are always so predictable.
Her answer~
But romance stories are fun.
All stories have an emotion and this emotion is fueled my anticipation
Mysteries ~ curiosity
Thriller~ Heart Thumping
Horror ~ Fear
Romance ~ gives readers the sense that something is going to get better; something to look forward to.
One might describe a romance story as predictive but it really is a story that satisficed a positive
anticipation.
So yes in “The Space Between” the story did create a feeling of anticipation – and the end satisfied my anticipation of hope.
This story has just move to my new favorite Sarah Ready!
Want to thank NetGalley and W.W. Crown for granted me this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for July 25, 2023.

Wow when this first started I had reservations about continuing but I am so glad I did. This epic love story will give people hope. This is probably one of the most beautiful and emotional stories I have ever read. If you ever were so touched by a lyric or a love song that you wished it were a full length book, this would be it. The story of Jace Morgan and Andrea (Andi) Leighton-Hughes, polar opposite seventeen-year-olds. When they meet amidst misfortune in Central Park's shadowy shaded woods, it is friendship at first sight. They let their guards down and opened their young and trusting hearts to each other, and before long, their friendship blossomed into more of a love song. Life ultimately works against them, testing the strength of their devotion and placing their love into the hands of fate. The plot twist in The Space Between is such an unexpected and captivating addition to the storyline that it left my jaw nearly on the floor. Having the ability to create a plot twist and change how the reader feels about a character they have already formed a bias around is an actual work of art, and Sarah Ready accomplished this brilliantly. When you think you know a character, he changes, and you fall in love with him in a way you never expected. I absolutely loved this story of sacrifice for those the main character loved and how forgiveness can play such an important roll in her life. I am so glad that I pushed through the first 1/4 of the book to get to the amazing ending.

Thanks for the ARC of this audiobook NetGalley. This book was incredible. This wasn’t my 1st Sarah Ready book and this one was excellent. It had great romance, great story, characters that had depth to them. Bring tissues with you when you read this book.

I loved French Holiday but this reverse billionaire gives it all up miscommunication trope is not for me. Especially miscommunication based on other character literally in the same scene? Yawn

Oh wow, I was not prepared for this. A heartbreaking, beautiful story of two people so immersed in each other, it hurt to see the sturddles they went through to be together . I was specially impressed by the gentleness of their relationship, the lack of toxicity is such an ideal quality. Unrealistic? Maybe, but still the level we all dream to be.
Special thanks to W.W.Crown and Netgalley for proving an audiobook in advance in exchange for an honest review.

I almost DNF this book in the first quarter but once I got past that part, I couldn't stop listening. Andrea Leighton-Hughes was raised in a wealthy Upper East Side family where she was nothing more than a chess piece between her mom and dad. Jace Morgan was raised the complete opposite but he was the first person that Andrea let in. When Jace's brother pretends to be him and lies to Andrea, she leaves and doesn't plan on turning back. The space between Andrea and Jace is where I really fell in love with the story. Andrea goes back to her wealthy life and reconnects with a guy from her childhood Reid. Reid wants to get married to Andrea, but for reasons other than love. Reid and Andrea do fall in love, but in a different way than was expected.
I absolutely loved this story of sacrifice for those the main character loved and how forgiveness can play such an important roll in her life. I am so glad that I pushed through the first 1/4 of the book to get to the amazing ending.

Got the ARC & this has been my favorite Sarah Ready book thus far. So happy I was able to get a hold of this early. Absolutely recommend!!

The Space Between by Sarah Ready is an emotional ride with ups and downs, tumultuous relationships and unexpected heartbreaks.
When I first started listening to this book, I was under the impression that it was going to be a tooth-rotting, fluffy read with a few twists and turns before a happy ending. Instead, I found myself crying at 3 a.m. about characters that I didn't question were important to the story.
The beginning of this book was slightly cliché, rich girl that hates being rich meets a poor boy with a traumatic past and a dream. It was even highlighted by some immature comments made by both Andrea and Jace, but I was pleasantly surprised that the story matured with the characters. Not just Jace and Andrea, but also River, Dallas, Reid and Pauly; even Andrea's mother.
It's the perfect book about love and heartbreak; in more ways than just romantic. Despite the flaws in the characters and the slight cliché and stereotypical sentences said throughout, it's still a great book.
As far as the audiobook goes, it's the first one I've been able to listen to, but the narration was impeccable, especially with Rachel F. Hirsch as Andy.

My reading of The Space Between e-book was accompanied by the audiobook. That's what I call a win-win situation. I enjoyed the experience of having a dual sensory experience, allowing me to immerse myself in the story in a whole new way.
My thoughts:
Sarah Ready has done it again with a captivating tale that brings the reader into an entirely different world. Coming-of-age characters come alive as they navigate trauma, love, loss, mistakes and living in the moment. Experiencing the complexity of the characters was refreshing. By navigating between the various themes of the story, they ultimately found strength and voice through adversity. Sarah Ready's mastery of her craft shines through this unique plot, making it a truly unforgettable experience and an absolute must-read and listen to. James Fouhey and Rachel F. Hirsch narration in the audiobook is artfully crafted to make it an engaging, captivating, and enthralling experience. This will stay with you long after the last page is read or the last word is heard.
Thank you NetGalley and W. W. Crown for allowing me to experience this heartwarming novel. I highly recommend this book/audiobook to everyone who enjoys a compelling story and unique narration.
#TheSpaceBetween #SarahReady

There is so much love and heartbreak wrapped into this story. I didn’t want to stop listening to sleep because I was so involved with their stories, Jace and Andrea and Reed, Claudia, and Andrea. This story is so well told and narrated. I enjoyed listening to it via audiobook.
Thank you NetGalley and W. W. Crown for the opportunity to listen to this book prior to publication.

Sarah Ready how dare you crush my entire soul like that. I was not prepared for the emotional damage this one would put me through in the slightest. The narrators added a wonderful spark to their character and truly brought them to life.
Ok, I’ve been a Ready fan since the beginning. She never fails to bring the lovable characters, tension, and emotional battles to the table. The Space Between offers such a complex deep dive into love, heartbreak, loss, and being present in life. The dimensions of what love means went so much farther than I could’ve imagined. I really believed the heartbreak would end and yet it just kept going!
The characters here all have such personality. I honestly think that each person has their moments of mistakes and disappointment yet we end in reception for every single one. How is that possible? I’m not sure but it worked beautifully. I can’t even go as deep as I want to in discussing because I don’t want to spoil anything, but trust me when I say you need to pick this one up. If you think you’re a Sarah Ready fan, this one will blow your mind.

Captivating, sentimental and enchanting. This book captures a multitude of emotions ranging from great joy to deep sorrow as it explores themes of true love ,family, friendship and forgiveness.
I don't tend to go for romantic novels too often but this has plenty of depth and great characters. The book is beautifully written and whilst it is quite long it has plenty of twists and turns along the way to maintain the readers' attention. The characters are unforgettable and left me reflecting a lot on their experiences beyond the end of the book.
The audiobook was skilfully narrated by James Fouhey and Rachel F. Hirsch - there was definitely a need for the dual narrators conveying the two main characters points of view and this aspect helped bring the book to life.
I am grateful to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

This story made me smile and made me cry. A truly amazing love story that spans many years.
'A Space Between' will leave you reminiscent - thinking fondly of your first love, your most true love, those songs that invoke strong memories and every moment in between.
As this story is told from multiple POV's, I was glad that this was told using two narrators. The perfect finishing touch for the telling of this tale.
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Special thanks to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved French Holiday (April 2023) by the author and was excited to see another book from her so soon. This is the story of first love and soul mates, Jace and Andrea, who come from different worlds. They meet when both are 17 and are seniors in high school. She is from an upper east side, business driven, extremely wealthy family. For breaks from her world she likes to dress down and walk in Central Park. Jace is poor, and has a scholarship to a good high school. His parents were shot in a bodega robbery and his older brother put his life plans on hold to keep the family together. Music is a legacy from their dad and both parents were the definition and example of love. The brothers play music in the park and dream of playing for the world.
The story is told from both POV’s but there is a stronger focus on Andi. For example in a large time break the book follows Andi’s story but does not go back and fill in details for Jace. To say I am emotionally invested in these characters is an understatement. I was so angry at the cause of the break up I almost dropped a star rating. I was disappointed that grace was given to the person involved because it never hints that they have regret or remorse for their actions. I would have been zero contact, but I’m petty and not the writer.
Andi is the perfect heroine willing to give up everything for love. She is smart and never truly breaks from all that is put on her. I also love Reid’s arc in the story. The author takes a character who is so easy to hate in the beginning and brings it full circle. I love his joy in making Andi smile again.
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC ebook and the audio book from W.W. Crown via NetGalley. I alternated between reading and listening to the story enjoying the narrators, especially Rachel F. Hirsch. I’d recommend this book to readers who enjoy dramatic women’s fiction and especially if you believe in the power of first love. It is longer (over 500 pages), but I relished every moment with Andi and her journey in love. I am leaving a voluntary review. (4.5 Stars)

The beginning of this book was okay but by the time I got to chapter 35ish it was dragging on and I'm just thinking in my head seriously there is still more to this book, I pushed on until chapter 43 because surely the book was almost done. IT WAS NOT, it still had 31 chapters left, so needless to say i skipped to the last chapter and listened to it and was done with this book. Definitely do not recommend this book or this author, and I try to give everyone and every book the benefit of the doubt but couldn't get over this one.

Oh my! This book is emotional and captivating and gave me ALL THE FEELS! Do not be fooled by the lighthearted cover, this is an epic love story that is guaranteed to wrap around your heartstrings. You meet Andi and Jace when they're just teenagers, but you'll be taken on a profound journey of growth and self-discovery and loss and forgiveness. But mostly, the plot of this book revolves around love, and all the different types of love you experience during your lifetime. The narrators did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and making us feel. I loved it! Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book needs to be made into a movie, possibly even a trilogy!!! Each character had a storyline that just tugged at your heartstrings and made it easy to get invested in their journey. As predictable as things may seem, the author never took you down the obvious path. I'm not sure if there are other books out there for the secondary characters, but with how they were developed in this one, I would love to read more!
