If you're looking for something light, cute and full of representation look no further. This series is spun-sugar. Its the cotton candy at a fair. Each of the boys are so cute and you get to see them learn about each other and how to navigate a poly relationship together and try to get through their days.

This is definitely more of a snippet style than it is a linear plot, but that comes from it's origin as a webtoon. It feels like a weekly comic strip in the best ways and each little story builds upon the last as they open up to each other and learn to be more comfortable with who they love. I was smiling the entire time I read this, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to review!

I loved this graphic novel. It was a super cute (both the story and the art style.) I liked that the poly romance felt balanced between all the guys, and the interactions between them all were adorable. I highly recommend reading this title. It is very heartwarming and gave me major cozy vibes while reading it!

This book has a beautiful coming of age as a cute Graphic Novel. I am always looking for new YA reads especially when they show different prospectives of teens. The imagery was beautiful and the story flowed well I am looking forward to seeing volume 2 and getting them ordered for my branch.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy in exchange for review.

What does a goth, jock, nerd, and rich-boy have in common? Well, quite literally nothing- except the fact that they are all wildly attracted to one another. This adult graphic novel follows the story of 4 college kids discovering what they want and need out of romantic relationship. Along the way, we see these friendships develop into a polycule of love.

The novel itself shows the characters setting healthy boundaries and opens us up to the inside of a gay polyamorous relationship. With humorous moments and everyday life problems, I found this to be a solid read. 3/5 stars.

A series of loosely connected stories about a group of friends that are attracted/dating/interested in dating each other. Not a strong plot-line but more a series of snapshots in their world and dating life. I did not resonate with the stories or material, but thought the art was cute and it was an easy, light read.

What a fun and inclusive little graphic novel! The colour palette was a breath of fresh air and perfectly conveys the relaxed vibe of the story. We follow 4 characters on mini adventures as they try to understand their attraction to each other. There is bisexual, pansexual, gay, transgender representation, which is rarely seen together in media. This is a collection of just over 50 shorts that are adorable and perfect for people who want a lighthearted LGBTQ+ story or are fans of the Boys Love universe.

I absolutely love this series! I was so excited when I saw that it was getting made into a physical book series, so had to check out how it was being adapted to the page. This story is a fun and colorful celebration of what love can be if you're open and communicative. The slice-of-life style allows for a light and surface exploration of loving relationships while allowing for room to dig deeper when it's necessary. A great introduction to open and polyamorous relationships for young people.

Boyfriends is an adorable slice of life romance graphic novel about a group of boys dating one another. I read some of the original webtoon a long time ago, and when I saw that there was going to be a physical release, I was so excited. This is one of those stories I come back to when I’m feeling sad and need a pick-me-up. It never fails to make me smile with its cute and brightly colored art and fun characters.

The story isn’t very complicated, but it doesn’t need to be. I rather like the fact that it is a simple story about a sweet polyamorous relationship between four guys. I like that there is representation for a few different sexualities within the group of guys as well as there being trans representation, which I somehow missed during my first read-through way back when, but was super excited to see during this second read. That’s something else that I like about the story, everything is taken casually and normalized. Which is how it should be, but for a person who grew up deeply (we’re talking Narnia levels) of closeted from a heavily conservative family and only just recently in adulthood started to accept themselves for who they are, this is something that just feels really good.

Something else I really like about this story and the characters is the fact that they COMMUNICATE with one another. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read romance type books where the main conflict is simply non-communication or miscommunication and problems that could be solved by a five minute conversation. I like that everyone talks things through with one another and I like that there is emphasis on consent.

The art is very cute and pretty. I adore the sort of bright, but also pastel palette. I also really enjoy that each of the characters has their own sort of aesthetic.

All in all, this is a very lovely little graphic novel and it makes me happy every time I read it. I plan to buy the physical copies whenever they are available. Thanks so much to Netgalley and Webtoon Unscrolled for the digital ARC!

So, I’m a little hesitant to give this one a review with actual stars because my personal rating would be 3 stars but for what it is and its intended audience it would be four stars to me. If I were the young queer person I was when I was 18/19 going into university for the first time I would have loved this story and related to it a lot more. As a 27 year old adult it just comes off a little childish sometimes. It was a very cute and fun slice of life story that focuses on a polycule consisting of four boys. The story is basically how all four of them came to be in the relationship and how they all interact with one another. It was really nice to see them actually talking it all out and setting boundaries. Everyone in the relationship was an equal participant and they made their feelings clear on what they wanted out of the relationship. Overall the story had a very 4-Koma feel if you read any manga. Basically 4 panel chapters that are slice of life and silly and just fun. The four characters embody their stereotypes but honestly, some people DO just embody stereotypes and that’s perfectly okay. The paneling, specifically the word bubbles could use a bit of work though. As a seasoned manga and graphic novel reader it wasn’t too difficult to realize when I had read them in the wrong order but occasionally I couldn’t really follow why the artist had decided to put the speech bubbles where they did. So that could use some work. The art style is simple but also incredibly colorful and really pops off the page with how fun and cute it looks. Overall this is a cute story and I’m happy to see fun things like this getting published.

A poly ship that's wholesome is just what the world needs. I love the author's choice of naming them for their aesthetics and not their actual names. Goth is by far my favorite, but I love them all so so much. Read this originally on WEBTOON and I cannot wait to spend money on every volume.

This is a sweet slice-of-life comics collection that follows four college boys navigating a polyamorous relationship. There's not much plot, but there is character and relationship growth. It discusses a few topics, such as sex, that may make it best for older teens or adults. Overall, the LGBT+ representation is great and the art style is perfect for a light, quick read!

I would like to thank Netgalley for providing the opportunity for me to read this manga before it was released.
Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from this manga. I was drawn in by the ridiculously cute art on the cover. It has typical romance troupes. There are several friends dating boys and talking about it. It's about navigating the dating world. The situations that the characters end up in are comical. Overall, the story is campy and lighthearted. Because of the LGBTQ+ characters, I am not allowed to use it in my classroom, and I have to be careful who I recommend it to. Beyond that, its a laughable tale about romance. It's inoffensive, but not too memorable. The art style is precious. So, that made my reading experience more enjoyable.

I've been a reader of Boyfriends in webcomic form for quite some time, and I'm very excited to see it's being published in print! The art is beautiful and I love the story. There's a surprising amount of depth in the character development, especially considering that the characters are never given names. Each of them has a distinct and vibrant personality, and it's really fun to watch them grow as characters through their interactions with one another. Also, it's great to see polyamorous characters represented in media. They're still pretty rare, so I'm glad Boyfriends is out there being adorable and wholesome to introduce people to the topic.

I started reading this on WebToons, much like everyone else and am so excited to see it get a published format!

The illustrations are absolutely to die for, honestly some of the cutest I have ever seen. I love the color pallet so much. The characters are fun and cute and you really do love seeing them figure things out together.

There were a few comics that were difficult to figure out which order they should be read in, but overall it didn't really affect my enjoyment much.

My biggest complaint is how the volume ended- I know it is a collection of their adventures, but the ending was very abrupt and I spent several seconds trying to turn to the next page looking for more story.

A super fun, very cute read!

Good God, this is a big ol' pile of cuteness. Goth, Jock, Nerd, and Preppy are college boys who just want boyfriends. So they decide to be boyfriends.

This is a fun series of webtoons that is well paced, beautifully drawn, and just sweet and wonderful. It's a perfect little concoction for a rainy day. And I should know, I read it on a rainy day.

One of the most adorable Webtoons publications I have read so far. I did not get a chance to read this webtoon comic on the website, but I am glad that more webtoons are starting to be published regularly. I thought the idea of this comic was cute and interesting since I do no know much about polyamory, except from what I read about in the past. Each character was unique in their own way with their own personality that somehow worked well with the rest. The art work was pretty and nice, while also working well with common anime gestures. The story and small sections were funny and interesting to read. Overall, I really loved this volume of the comic.

I haven't read the original webtoon, so I went into this mostly blind. Tl;dr, It's a cutesy comic about four boys who all fall for each other and how they make it work.

It's very brightly colored and I liked the fluffy nature of it, but I wish they had real namessss.

If I had a real gripe, it's that the ARC leaves off kind of suddenly - there's no back cover art or "see you next time" page that I'm used to from collected comic issues.

I know that I started to read this on Webtoon but gave up after a few chapters. That was probably a mistake. This turned out to actually be a pretty cute story. Poly relationships are not my thing and I usually avoid stories featuring them but I really liked how awkward everyone was about the situation. The art is really cute and the story is interesting enough to make me want to read volume 2.
