Love on Blast by Teddy Baire has a plot that could be absolutely perfect but the storyline gets conveluded and disjointed with unessesary side plots and characters. The storyline at its core is fun, sweet and relatable but it just doesn't hit because of the confusion.

This is such a cute story of friendship and the challenges that are experienced when developing new relationships outside of that friendship. I really liked the execution of this story and the character development.

This one was a very convoluted but interesting read , keeping you engaged at the same time it loses you in the quagmire of characters and emotions. The office dynamics presented here don't appear to be typical but still realistic enough to be believable. There were no clear distinctions between some of the relationships portrayed in this book and the repetitive misuse of pronouns and the obvious errors in which character is mentioned at any given time detracted from the enjoyment of this book. I must say my favorite characters were the cryptic Heather and the mysterious Nathan. With better editing this could easily become a must read .

OOF. This book... not great. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

It's disjointed, scattered, and has too much going on where it doesn't even matter. Side characters that don't add anything except unnecessary dialogue. Nonsensical side plots that aren't anything. And the tropes! In their first (and hopefully last) foray into romance, it was like they threw all the tropes at their storyboard and what stuck ended up on the page.

The concept could be fun if done better -- I mean we all love reading about disastrous dates. But the creepy factor of the men on these dates (or even the ones met throughout in passing) smacks as unrealistic given how the female leads deal with them. But am I surprised? No, not really.

This was written by a man and it shows.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I wanted to like this book and it sound like it would be so cute, but It just wasn’t for me. I am not big on books that change POV all the time.

The cover of Love on Blast by Teddy Baire is cute but the story itself is an incoherent mess that sounds like it was written by a bot. From numerous spelling and grammar errors, to purple prose to overuse of cliches, and unclear plot and rambling characters this is not a book for me. Don’t waste your time.

The blurb pushed me to delve into the book. However, once I started reading it wasn't that at all.

Between the numerous changes of POV, the writing which put me off at times, and the execution of the idea which in reality is not that good...

This book was okay. There were a few things lacking in terms of pacing and character development, but I did enjoy reading about the relationship between the two best friends.

This was a first time read for me by this author so I really didn't have any specific expectations going into it. That being said I didn't quite get what I was looking for in this story. The story centers around two friends, each competing for the same position at work. Along the way, they find romance, but they also risk losing their friendship.
The premise of the story was fine, but the storyline just seemed a little scattered and had some inconsistencies and didn't seem to flow as smoothly. The blurb really caught my attention, but unfortunately, the story ended up not really being my thing, but that's just me. I do appreciate the opportunity to read this book, and I would like to give the author another try.
Thank you to Netgalley and Indie, Teddy Baire Inc for providing a complimentary copy. This is my voluntary review.

Thanks NetGalley and author for the opportunity to read this ARC book. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the content and how LONG it was. It did not need to be 400 pages. The cover is was free me in but it was a no.

The story starts off very info-dumpy, if you like all of the information to come very quickly at the start of the novel then great but it gives a very hectic pace and made me wonder what would happen for the rest of the novel if we got so much plot or story within the first 100 pages.

Love on Blast was just not the book for me. The editing was atrocious and the story was “fine”. I probably won’t be picking anything else up by this author unfortunately. 2? Stars. Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me a copy to read for an honest review.

'Love on Blast' by Teddy Baire had the potential for a fun and unique premise, but it left me wanting more.

The story revolves around two best friends engaged in a playful yet high-stakes competition for a coveted job opportunity. The concept of the competition, which includes a series of unconventional and extraordinary dates, had the promise of being a captivating and comical read. However, the execution fell short of my expectations.

I found the plot to be lacking depth, and the characters, although likable, remained relatively one-dimensional. The comedic moments were present but didn't always hit the mark, leaving me wanting more humor and emotional connection.

The idea of chronicling their romantic escapades through a dedicated blog and involving the city's residents in voting was intriguing but felt underutilized. I wished for more engagement and immersion in this aspect of the story.

Overall, 'Love on Blast' fell short of its potential, leaving me with a feeling of unfulfilled promise. While it may have its audience, I found it to be a two-star read due to the unrealized potential of the intriguing premise.

There was a lot happening in this book and I'm not sure it's completely sorted yet. I was lucky enough to receive a digital copy of this book as an Advanced Readers Copy, so I do have hope that some of these issues will be sorted out before it is released, but as of right now it is a bit all over the place. There is just so many side quests and sub plots and quickly forgotten characters, that had so much potential but felt rushed or irrelevant in the current draft. Our protagonist was pretty loveable though and I see how this book could be great.

Le sigh. My first DNF of 2023. I made it to chapter four but had to call it quits. I found the typos and layout to be confusing and it really took me out of the story. I really enjoyed the cover and the blurb, but unfortunately for this reader, the book did not deliver. My suggestion to the author is to hire an editor who could help to shape the story and make it more engaging. There is a winner buried somewhere in here, you just need some help finding it!

I have no words... I went into this arc with such high anticipation, Between the cover and the description, however this book lack luster for me. There are several inaccurate names, and punctuation and also the comments said about races, seems very sketchy to me personally. This book I thought was gonna preach girl power and it DID NOT.
