"I really enjoyed Let's Just Be Friends! The audiobook had such a fun, lighthearted vibe, and the narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. The chemistry between the main characters was on point, and I loved the slow burn of their friendship turning into something more. It was the perfect mix of humor and heart, and I couldn’t stop listening! Definitely a great pick for anyone looking for a feel-good romance with a bit of depth."

Not as swoony cute romance as the cover led me to believe. A good story if a little a confusing at times. I think I would have liked it better not as an audiobook. Nothing against the narration.

I struggled with this one. I was going into it thinking it was going to be a swoony romcom, instead it feels more like a women’s lit fic, filled with drama. The story I was expecting was not the story I got. It was hard to stick with it, especially since there was nothing that makes it stand out. The characters names were similar and the narration made it hard to tell them apart.
I had hoped to really love this one, I’m a sucker for friends to lovers and small town romance, unfortunately this was a miss for me.

Let's Just Be Friends was a sweet, enjoyable read with a unique twist—multiple POVs.
The multiple perspectives added depth, but at times I felt it pulled away from the main storyline. Still, the small-town vibes, lovable characters, and heartwarming moments made this book worth the read!

The audiobook was hard to understand but overall pleasant. The book was cute and quick and did a good job building up the location of a Scottish town. Parts were a little confusing but overall, I enjoyed it.
This book would be perfect for someone, but it was not my favorite.
Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for the honest review.

Friends to lovers, small scottish town. Cute, quick read. I enjoyed it but it was nothing too special. I liked the narrators and the dual povs. Would read again
3/5 stars

I recently had the pleasure of listening to "Let's Just Be Friends" by Katy Turner, and I must say, it was a delightful escape from reality. The story follows Holly as she leaves her stressful life behind and finds solace in the charming small seaside town of Scotland. The author has woven a tale that is both heartwarming and engaging, with a romance that unfolds gradually, allowing the reader to become fully invested in the characters' lives.
The audiobook is well-narrated, with a clear and expressive voice that brings the characters to life. The frequent shifts in point of view may require a bit of attention from the listener, but it's a small price to pay for the rich descriptions of Scotland's stunning landscapes. The author's writing is descriptive and immersive, making it easy to picture the rolling hills, rugged coastline, and quaint village settings.
The friends-to-lovers romance is tender and sweet, and I found myself rooting for the couple as they navigated their feelings for each other. However, I did feel that the other friends' storylines were left slightly open-ended, leaving me wondering what might happen next. While this didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book, I did find myself hoping for more closure or a potential sequel to follow.
Overall, "Let's Just Be Friends" is a charming and engaging listen that will appeal to fans of heartwarming romances and those who appreciate the beauty of Scotland. The story is an inviting escape from reality, with well-developed characters and a captivating setting that will linger long after the story concludes. If you're looking for a feel-good listen with a dash of romance and a healthy dose of Scottish charm, then this book is an excellent choice.

This one unfortunately was not for me, I was confused with the story from the start and couldn’t get into the characters unfortunately

Let's Just Be Friends is a cozy, fun romcom! This was a very easy read, its very similar to every other romcom, I knew how it would end, but that's honestly what made it so great. It was easy to read! I wasn't left reeling or questioning anything that happened, I was left in a good light-hearted mood after finishing. What else does someone want from a romcom?
The narration was great and keep me engaged the whole time! I do think this book would have benefited from a little bit of editing, it was running a little long at the end. Maybe the removal of one POV would have also helped. We only got a proper ending on one POV so I’m guessing there’s room for a sequel in the future? If so I NEED to know how Chloe and Angus’ romance ends!

Honestly, I found this book to be so boring, I don't even know how I made it through the whole thing. It felt like there was no point whatsoever and yet, it was soooo long. I went from listening on 1.2x, which is my usual speed, to 1.5x then 1.75x just to end it. It was so repetitive, all of the characters read like middle schoolers to me. The "deeper" issues were introduced then very briefly explored on the surface level. I got very tired about hearing how Holly could not give Greg a chance because of Jackie, then acting like everything is the end of the world. Then, turns out that all she had to do was call Jackie! And everything is magically resolved! Just felt very immature and boring. Too much immature drama that did not even need to happen. The descriptions were too long. The scenes were too long and unnecessary. I don't think we needed to hear about Holly running 30 times.
I also felt mislead - the synopsis did not mention anything about the other characters who were a large part of the book and had their own experience read to us. I found this unnecessary and confusing. Prior to starting the book, I read a review that mentioned that two of the characters' names sound very similar and boy is that true. Listening to this was confusing and I thought the transitions were ineffective. Overall, I did not enjoy this book.

It got too much for RomCom. There was so many dramatic issues between them thatbI lo at interest into theor relationship.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the setting of this story in the Scottish Highlands because the backdrop for the book was so quaint. I liked Holly and Greg and was a little confused when the book would move to Chloe and Angus because I was not anticipating that change. I wished Holly and Greg would have figured out their love faster because they were so wonderful together. This was a fun romance overall.

I was bored and its long. I thought I was getting to the climax, nope just over halfway with over 5 more hours to go. I want to know what the brothers were fighting over, but its late and I don't want to listen to more tomorrow

I loved the narration, it was fantastic. It’s a cozy cute quick read that’s enjoyable for the most part. It had some good banter and moments. I enjoyed getting to know each of the friends individually. However, I wish it wasn’t from three view points and possibly had a book for each friend so that you can really get to know all of them. It felt a little overwhelming and underwhelming all at the same time. I wanted to dig deeper into Holly. I did like her development in the end it just took ALOT to get there and then you didn’t get closure for the other view points really so that was kind of a bummer. I do not understand why her boss needed to be so mean to EVERYONE who worked for him. Over all it was a fine read.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this Audiobook

I loved the narrator but there were so many characters that it gets a bit confusing, making it difficult for me to really get into it.
I think an ebook or an actual book might have been better.

This was a pretty generic romance. Nothing bad that stood out to me, but also nothing that's boosting the rating for me. I really enjoyed the narrator and the setting, and I would read more by this author in the future!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version.
The narrator I enjoyed. But that is pretty much it. The story itself was bland and boring and I didn't like or connect with any of the characters. And let's not forget the feminist liberal wokeness in the book (ugh!) Just was a not for me and j was really looking forward to this one.

Cute story about a vet who wants to get away and spends a year in a small town in Scotland. There was nothing different about this story than any other with a similar setup. I liked the characters enough but there were so many different points of view that it was hard to distinguish between them (at least on the audio version) and character development suffers as a result. This is a quick, cute, light read...but slightly forgettable.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

Let's Just Be Friends by Katy Turner is a sweet story about a woman who embraces a huge life change. I really enjoyed the pictures Turner paints of the rural Scottish town and the folks who live there. There are also some marvelous scenes regarding the main character’s veterinary practice which were quite entertaining.
The audio version is performed by Mhairi Morrison.
