This series had much more depth and lots of spooky twists and turns. I’m excited to continue this series and see how everything plays out.

It’s so nice to be back with the whole gang, and I love the atmosphere of these books! Highly recommend for readers who love Halloween season and the overall vibes (without delving in to anything too scary).

Thank you netGalley, Poison Pen Publishers and Darcy Coates for the eArc of The Hollow Dead.

This is the 4th book in the The Gravekeeper Series. I love the way Darcy Coates can bring different elements into her narratives and they flow really well together, You have some great creepy moments., romantic ones and I love the sense of humour that she injects into this series. It makes a great read for those who would like to dip their toes into some cosy creepy supernatural reading without getting too creeped out.

This is the 4th installment in the Gravekeeper series and it was by far the most exciting!! Some chilling discoveries and we finally get the satisfaction of two of our characters together. Also, the comedic relief was hilarious!!

Kiera has come a long way from when she first awakened with no memories. But as she has reclaimed her life's secrets, she has also fallen deeper and deeper into danger. The fourth book in the Gravekeeper series Kiera and her friends must continue the fight against an evil so great that it threatens even the dead! Fast paced and action packed, this novel is a great continuation of the series, while still leaving the door open for even more!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily and all views expressed are my own.

Can Darcy Coates do anything wrong?? Yet another great read from the queen of horror with a twist! The Gravekeeper series has become one of my favorites from her with its mix of horror, mystery and a little fun. I can’t wait for the next one!

I absolutely love this series as a whole. This book was fantastic just like the others and I cannot wait to hear more about Keira’s story with her friends Mason and Zoe as well as adage! I absolutely love the story line and I loved reading about Keira and how she has developed as a character. I am excited to see more of the stories and can’t wait to know what happens next!

Keira lives quietly in a small, secluded cottage near a cemetery where she can see spirits. She takes this gift beyond these boundaries, and with her friends, they put themselves in danger to help the dead.

Artec uses spectral energy to produce power. The souls of these people are tormented, but Artec only care about making money. Keira is determined to stop them and release these souls. Will she be able to?

This is Book 4 in the Gravekeeper series. I haven’t read them all, but I grabbed this because I love Darcy’s writing. I would suggest reading them in order, though.

I like that Keira has a tight group of friends by her side. They protect and support each other as Keira learns more and more about her murky past.
The idea of pulling spectral energy for power is unique. The poor souls being used would probably think differently, as they are kept in a state of decline, being tortured by Artec. It makes for exciting reading, though!

If you enjoy paranormal stories, check out this series.

💕Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing this ebook for me to read and review.

The Hollow Dead is the 4th book in the Graveyard series. After waking up with no memory and being chased through the woods by mysterious men Keira ends up in the small town of Blighty. There she finds shelter thanks to a pastor and after realizing she is now safe, she starts to make a home in Blighty all the while trying to piece together her past. Oh, and she also sees ghosts. She soon befriends Zoe and Mason and together they start trying to figure out who is hunting Keira and how her power works. As Keira learns about her ability to see ghosts she starts helping people, both dead and alive, with some unfinished business. We now know that the people responsible for hunting Keira are apart of a company called Artec that are doing some sinister things to the ghosts that end up in their cemeteries to produce energy and profit. The 4th book continues on the story where and we get to learn about Keira’s past and watch the ever evolving relationships she’s made along the way.

While I think this book is integral to the story it was my least favorite of the series. I thought that it felt both rushed and slow at the same time. I didn’t connect with the characters I’ve come to love so much as I have with the past books. However, that is not saying that it isn’t worth the read. After getting so invested in this story it felt so satisfying to finally get some answers and see how the relationships between Keira, Zoe, and Mason are growing and becoming even more meaningful. Also to see Keira’s relationship with herself evolving is beautiful.

Finally, Daisy the cat will always be 5 stars! We also got to learn more about Daisy which I think may have been my favorite part.

I was a bit of a disadvantage going into this book not having read the first 4 but it wasn’t hard to pick up and know what was going on in the broad strokes. Keira wakes up in the forest and this book seems to deal a lot with her past and getting answers to previously unknown things about herself and it isn’t easy for her to understand or swallow. These big secrets are critical to her knowing more about herself and her role with the dead. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters and this book definitely motivated me to go back and read the first 3 in the series!!

The Hollow Dead by Darcy Coates.

#4 in the Gravekeeper series, so not many details I can talk about without spoilers. But this was really good. We get answers, and finally something I've been waiting for since the beginning!

Maybe this series would be considered cozy horror? 🤔

Thank you to @poisonpen and the author for the e-arc to review!

Going into this book I thought it could be read as a stand alone and I’m now realizing that it’s best read in order as book #4 of the series. I really enjoyed what I read and it seems to be a really fun series. I’m looking forward to starting from the beginning!

The Hollow Dead is book 4 in the Gravekeeper series. While some of the backstory is provided, I think it’s best to read at least one or two of the previous books first.

This is my favorite of the series so far. The plot is fast-paced, with lots of action. We’re finally given more answers about Keira’s past, making this book feel much more satisfying.

The horror vibe is perhaps more intense in this book, especially toward the end. Still, it’s not gruesome or graphic. The “cozy horror” label is a good fit.

Keira, Mason and Zoe are back in the next book of the Gravekeeper series. The story picks up relatively close to the end of book three. The story jumps straight into the action and dropping clues about Artec and Keira. Readers learn quite a bit more through the book about the secretive organization Artec and their nefarious doings. Followers of the series will be excited to learn that book 4 reveals some huge revelations about Keira, her family, her childhood and more. Sprinkled throughout the book are also some smaller mysteries to keep the story moving. Overall, it is a fast fun read. Coates does a wonderful job of creating suspense and intrigue while keeping the story accessible and engaging. This is what initially drew me to the series and keeps me reading.

Thank you @poisonedpenpress and @netgalley for the e-galley.

I’m a big fan of @darcybooks. She writes the very best haunted house and paranormal books. We all know how much I love haunted houses and ghosts. She also happens to have a new book out today.

The Hollow Dead is the fourth book in The Gravekeeper series, which is a paranormal cozy mystery series. I don’t want to give too much away because I think this series is best enjoyed by reading it in order. Keira is the main character and she can speak to the dead and can help them move on from the mortal world. There are also men that are hunting her and she doesn’t know why. She can’t remember much from her past.

It’s a fun series to read. Cozy, but with ghosts. Not always friendly ghosts.

The characters I’ve grown to adore are back and as great as ever! Such a fun, cozy YA mystery. This book finally gave me the back story I’ve been waiting for!

P.S. This is the 4th book of the series. I do recommend reading books 1-3 first!

Another great addition to Darcy Coates' Gravekeep Series.

Picking up right where the 3rd ended. Asking questions and added new ones.
Can't wait to see what happens next

Once again fun and slightly ridiculous if you think about it too much, the next adventure of Keira and the Scooby bunch doesn’t really disappoint. There are a finally answers and thigns tied into bows. Why does Kiera see dead people? Who was she before she turned up without a memory? We get to know. Will they or won’t they? Sure. Again, just don’t think too much about what the actual plot is and why thisa is all happening.

I wasn’t aware this book was part of a series. I would suggest that you read this series in order to better enjoy this book.
It’s a fast paced book. I liked the group of friends and their dynamic together. Even tho I hadn’t read the previous ones I still enjoyed this one.

I fell in love with this series as soon as I started reading the first book. Book one Keira had no idea who she was or where she was. She was lucky to be given a little cottage in a graveyard to help the souls pass over to the other side. And now, we are seeing Keira try to defeat Artec to free the enslaved spirits. Each book is better than the last and the story builds wonderfully and makes me want more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I need to see where building relationships are going. (No spoiler here).
