An interesting glimpse into some exciting upcoming releases. All 4 featured titles sound amazing and I can't wait to read them!

The idea of being able to read snippets of upcoming books has blown me away. Seeing the covers themselves in this format is as beautiful as it is to have access to a TBR catalog. I have most definitely marked a lot of books on here as books I want to read, and a lot of them I had never heard of before today, so this source of taste-testing is perfect and should continue, I think.

I do suggest however, that like the contemporary version, that penguin house makes sure to sensitivity read MULTIPLE times before this as I had issues with the other one.

Fortunately for I, I have an ARC of Adam Sass's book and I'm already obsessed.

A nice sampler of first chapters from upcoming queer YA thrillers/horror novels. I added most of them to my TBR!

It was a good way to discover new authors and interesting novels.

I have been stoked to read all of these titles coming out from Penguin Teen, and getting a chance to read the first few chapters of each of these has been so amazing. Definitely cemented my TBR over the next few months. I'm especially excited for The Narrow and Your Lonely Nights are Over; both Kate Alice Marshall and Adam Sass are instant reads for me!

I have been a huge fan of Jennifer Dugan and Kate Alice Marshall so I was already excited for their next releases, now even more so.

However, I have not read anything previously by Adam Sass or Stephanie Oakes, so it was nice to read a little of their upcoming releases. These are absolutely on my radar now!

This was a nice little taster of four upcoming horror/thriller Queer YA novels that left me wanting more. I was a bit sad that the samples were so short because I wanted to keep reading. I will most definitely check out the full novels when they come out. I especially liked the sample of The Last Girls Standing, what a cool and intriguing concept!

Of course this is not an anthology of queer short stories like I thought but just a couple of samplers which is still great because I had no idea some of these titles were queer!

Out of the four books my favorites were The Last Girls Standing and Your Lonely Nights are Over.

Each book was different from one another and was spooky in its own way. I'm glad I was able to read them and be able to experience them.

The Read Proud: Horror/Thriller sampler was chillingly good! I’m looking forward to Your Lonely Nights Are Over (Adam Sass) and The Last Girls Standing (Jennifer Dugan). I especially loved Adam Sass’ book The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summers, so I can’t wait to read his latest work! I had not previously heard about The Narrow (Kate Alice Marshall) and The Meadows (Stephanie Oakes) but they are definitely on my TBR now. These all seem like outstanding horror/thriller books to read this summer! Summer is my favorite time to read thrillers/horror, so this sampler was perfectly timed!

I loved all four of the introductions to these books and I can not wait to read the rest of each of them! I am still new to the horror genre (I AM A BABY) but I LOVE thriller books! I will definitely be adding all of these books to my TBR!

I thought it was too good to be true: four books I really want to read bundled together. I should have known this was a sampler. Including the first two chapters of each book, this confirmed I definitely want to read them. I’m just disappointed I don’t get to yet.
