This book follows Jigglyspot, the cannibalistic murderous clown, and various other POV’s, in preparation for (and during) the Summer Solstice Celebration at the Cannibal Café.
I can honestly say I’ve never read something like this before. Describing this book as murder and mayhem is vastly underselling it, and the only one safe are animals (how refreshing). This book is sort like if The Terrifier were to host a party for his demon friends.
Sadly, this book wasn’t a good fit for me as I found it to be too long for my liking and way too many things happening at once. I had some trouble telling characters apart and keeping up with the plot. That being said, I hate clowns, terrified of them actually, but my favorite character in this book was without a doubt Jigglyspot himself, so big kudos to the author for not only making me like a clown, but a cannibalistic one at that.
If you like a good outrageous horror movie, this book would be right up your alley. I think especially fans of Grady Hendrix and The Terrifier movies would appreciate this book.
Big thanks to NetGalley, Chamber Door Publishing, and the author P.D. Alleva for allowing me to read this ARC.
