This is the latest book in the K9 Special Ops series by O’Fallon and this one was just as exciting as the others!
This story follows ATF Special Agent Brett Tanner as he is investigating the arsons that are happening in small towns in Colorado. Insurance investigator Gemma Scott is called in to determine the cause of these fires and they end up working together to determine who is setting the fires and if there is more to the mystery.
This was another suspenseful story that involves another profession that I didn’t know much about so it was interesting to read about. All of the K9 stories are great and I highly recommend them.

So steamy! A strong plot keeps the story moving along. Like a great TV procedural, you keep tuning in wanting to know how this plays out. Likeable characters and a tough as nails heroine.

It is a thrilling romantic suspense narrative featuring ATF Special Agent Brett Tanner and NICB Investigator Gemma Scott. The story revolves around their collaboration on a suspicious warehouse fire with a body found, drawing them into a race against an arsonist. Despite personal traumas, Brett and Gemma form a dynamic partnership, their characters richly developed with depth and complexity. The slow-burn romance adds to the intrigue, while the author skillfully weaves suspense, danger, and action throughout the plot. Real-world issues, including mental health, greed, and gender dynamics, enrich the narrative. The brisk pace, engaging atmosphere, and well-crafted characterization make this an enjoyable standalone read. O’Fallon's incorporation of humor and unexpected twists ensures a captivating experience for fans of romantic suspense.

As an animal lover, I do enjoy reading stories in which one or more of the main characters is four legged, no matter what the genre. Blaze is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, ATK K-9 and his human partner is Brett Tanner, former Marine, now ATF officer. He has survived two fires, once when he was eleven years old and again recently. In both cases, two kids died and he has nightmares about both. Genna Scott is an investigator with NICB (National Insurance Crime Bureau). She is very skilled at her job. She has been tracking a large number of suspicious homes fires in Colorado. She has been figuretivley burnt by a colleague, who stole her work, while Brett has the scars from the actually fires he has survived. They decide to join forces, though both have trust issues. But they know they are getting close, when someone tries to take them out. They try to stay professional and keep sending each other mixed signals. While Brett believes that he is a bad bet for Gemma, because he always screws up relationships, he is going to do whatever he can to keep her alive and find the murderer.

A well written story, with wonderful characters, a thrilling adventure and a twist at the end, make this an exciting page turner, but a romance too. I read an ARC provided by NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tee O’Fallon really can’t do anything wrong with me. Her romantic suspense stories are always such a pleasure/joy to read and Burning Justice wasn’t an exception. I love how her own police background plays into it all, but how she also isn’t afraid to span out and get more information from other specialists in the field around her so that her details story-wise are as true as possible.

I really loved the characters again in this book, their romance and of course the K9 partner of Brett, Blaze. Without getting into much detail, I’ll just end with this: I think this is a highly recommended read when you like romantic suspense, good writing, engaging story-line and dogs, in particular working dogs. Tee O’Fallon was and will remain one of my favorite go-to authors when it comes to these kind of books.

Burning Justice was yet again a delightful read and I’m looking forward to her next work!

I’m a little conflicted. I liked the book and story line. At some points I felt overwhelmed with the reading because some info wasn’t necessary. This is my opinion. I loved the interactions between Brett & Gemma but the ending frustrated me! BUT sometimes we need that.

They partner together on a wild adventure in the state of Colorado chasing leads. Can they both let their guard down enough to see how well their working relationship could lead to something more? Pick up this book you wont be disappointed. I was given this book for an open and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Burning Justice is a fabulous romantic suspense by Tee O'Fallon. Ms. O'Fallon has provided readers with a well-written book. The characters are outstanding! Gemma is working for the National Insurance Crime Bureau and meets Brett and his K-9 Blaze at the scene of a fire. Their story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I loved this book and look forward to my next book by Tee O'Fallon. Burning Justice is book 2 of the K-9 Special Ops Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A search for an arsonist is at the center of Buring Justice, the second book in the K-9 Sepcial Ops series from Tee O'Fallon. I really love how tis author likes to incorporate working dogs into the story, and I know I can always get some action-packed romantic suspence from this author as well.

In Burning Justice, ATF Special Agen Brett Tanner teams up with Gemma Scott, an insurance investigator. They are both great at their jobs, and worked the case together as equals, which was very nice. And they both started having feelings for each other, although Brett has some hang-ups from the past and Gemma has some bruises from a previous incident as well.

They have a fairly complicated case to solve and I liked that about the story, but I did find the pace of this a bit slow for me. Gemma is a strong female character and that was very satisfying. I did enjoy the return of characters from this and other series from this author.

Overall, an entertaining romantic suspense with the typical Hero looking for redemption from the past and the strong Heroine who saves him. The dog is pretty cool too!

ATF Agent, Brett Tanner is called into investigate a suspicious fire and runs into Gemma Scott, with the National Insurance Crime Bureau, also working the case. Brett and Gemma think that the fire is connected to a string of prior fires and reluctantly team up, pooling sources to solve the mystery and bring the criminals to justice.

Brett has personal reasons behind his dogged determination to catch the bad guy(s) and suffers PTSD from his history.

Gemma’s been burned by an ambitious co-worker who stole her past case and claimed it as his own accomplishment. Since then, she’s been wary about taking on any partners, but Brett’s position in the ATF gives her access to parts of the investigation she wouldn’t have otherwise. Also, her gut tells her she can trust Brett. She loved his K-9 partner, Blaze, right away and as they say dogs are the best judge of character. There was an immediate attraction between these two, but they try and keep things professional. Of course, they can resist only for so long. I was rooting for them to solve their case and for them as a couple!

As a fan of well-done police/crime procedurals, I thoroughly enjoyed Burning Justice, even more so with a smart K-9 partner! I was hooked and eager over every discovery they made that led them closer to the truth and on edge as their investigations put them in danger! The mystery and romance wrap up nicely and I look forward to the next in the series: Ultimate Justice!

It had been awhile since I read Tough Justice, but you can read the K9 special Ops series as standalone, so it was no problem. Whereas the first part was about drugs hitting the streets, this one is about arsonists. And Brett and his K9, Blaze (what a fitting name) are trying to find them. Having been in, and surviving, not one, but two fires has given Brett a razor sharp focus to hunt down people who set stuff on fire. Especially where people get hurt, or (in Brett’s case) die. Still being plagued by the screams of the teenagers he was unable to save, Brett is relentless in his search.

When he is approached by Gemma, an independent fire insurance agent, he is surprised with her thorough investigation work. As a small woman, Gemma is used to having to prove herself over and over again. Therefore, she prefers working alone, especially after a colleague screwed her over. But in this case, she needslaw Enforcement to get a subpoena. So, she asks Brett for help. Together the follow the threads and bread trumps that Gemma has uncovered.

Getting closer to the truth, someone clearly doesn’t want them to find out, since there start to be attempts to murder to the both of them. So, time is running out. In order to capture the murderer, Gemma and Brett need to un close everything they know and trust the other to help them out. If not, they could both be killed. Is Gemma ready to fully trust someone? And can Brett let go of his past or will it hurt him forever? Find out for yourself in this read full of suspense, awesome dogs and a lot of distrust. Great read, four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I really enjoy Tee O'Fallon. She is such an engaging author. I appreciate an author who researches details of a topic who is then able to convey the info in layman's terms so to speak and keep it interesting. Brett and Gemma are both fascinatingly prickly - for good reasons and how they navigate their relationship both professional and personally is a treat. The mystery (arson) was believable and something you read about in the paper every day. It's great to see how things potentially go behind the scenes and the different players involved. I love the romances ups and downs - Brett is a worthy flawed hero - you will love the steps he takes to appeal to Gemma - a stubborn heroine! We all know people like this in the real world. They made me smile. .

A strong suspense novel from Tee O’Fallon, this is the story of arson investigation and the two people investigating it. Not knowing anything about it except for what I’ve seen on tv, I think it was believable. The serious, take-charge nature of Gemma came through, and the ptsd from our hero Brett definitely was visible. The relationship between the two had decent chemistry. My favorite character was Blaze, the K-9. Blaze made the book. I think I could have read a whole book of blaze investigating the arson and been happy.

All I can say after reading Burning Justice is where has Tee O'Fallon been all of my life?! I am a huge fan of romantic suspense and I have purchased several of her books but I just didn't take the time to sit down and open one up until the other day and now I am grateful that I have a shelf full because I am hooked and headed for a binge read! This might be the second book in her K-9 Special Ops series however it definitely stands alone. ATF Special Agent Brett Tanner is a man on a mission. His mission is to find whoever has been setting several homes in the Denver area on fire of which one of the fires caused the death of two teenagers. Insurance investigator Gemma Scott is a woman on the same mission. She has been tracking a series of insurance claims for unexplained fires that is leading her to believe that a single individual is responsible for the arson and now she plans to prove it. When Gemma and Brett meet they are both used to working solo but if they plan to get to the bottom of these possible crimes then they will need to work together along with Brett's K-9 partner Blaze. They are both very complex characters and Ms. O'Fallon does a great job of peeling away their layers and twisting the story in exciting and thrilling ways that kept me glued to the pages. She is quite knowledgeable with her writing and she has now gained a fan for life. Burning Justice was told from dual POV and was full of action, twists, intrigue and a splash of heat for our main characters. I cannot wait for more books in this series!
