Good book that kept me reading and interested. I liked the story but it did take me a while to get fully into the book.

Get Lost: Seven Principles for Trekking Life with Grace mixes stories from the author’s life, her principles for discovering who she is and what she wants, and the entrepreneurial path that led to her business focusing on women-only adventure travel. Interesting anecdotes and journal prompts are intended to lead the reader to her own conclusions — this is less a travel book than a self-help book. That said, many of the stories are about self-discovery in amazing, far-flung places and are well worth a read.

Get Lost : Seven Principles for Trekking Life with Grace and Other Life Lessons from Kick-Ass Women's Adventure Travel is a book summarising some of the expeditions from the authors' business and gives advice for life and adventuring. To be honest I was a bit disappointed. Usually I love travel memoirs but because this just contained snippets of everything surrounded by life story and advice I couldn't really 'feel' the adventures. I like travel books where you can smell the dirt, feel the pain and can absorb the scenery and environment. There was probably just a bit too much of normal life story, a bit of name dropping, and details you really didn't need to know. But I am impressed at all the amazing adventures this women has had and has created for others. But for me personally the juice is in the detail of the adventures.

I had never heard of Erin and her business before picking this book but I felt like I didn't need to. I am always enthralled by stories of women who make life their own and find adventure.

I loved the mixture of quotes and photographs that were mixed within the chapter that gave you a full view of the evolution of Erin's company.
