Great suspense/thriller. I love books that keep me guessing what happened right until the end and this did just that.
Well written and keeps your interest.

This story was great! It was full of suspense that I couldn't put it down as I needed to know what was going to happen next!

A suspenseful thriller full of family dynamics and mystery. I loved the winter vibes and it was the perfect book to cozy up during a snowstorm with!!

On the whole it’s a good read, well paced, if a little predictable. I did enjoy it nonetheless. A good winter novel to lose yourself in.

I don't know where this book went wrong but I didn't really enjoy it as much as the other readers. I've read high ratings and review of this from Goodreads and I just couldn't understand why. Maybe I read a different book.

The ending is what saved this book. It’s predictable but makes the book good.

This book was brilliant. Set in Scotland, I love when a book is unpredictable and this one definitely is. A book about family relationships, just like the title says.

The description of this sounded really good but once I got reading it just didn’t live up to it. It felt quite boring and repetitive most of the way through.
The ending was a good twist and I really didn’t expect it, so it’s a shame the rest of the book didn’t match up.

I think this book had one of the best strap lines eer, however, I felt that the book was lacking in places. Nonetheless, it is a good read.

I enjoyed the twists and turns this story provided, yet - personally - I found it a little slow in many places. A good story, but with more pace it could be amazing.

A story about how one event can cause a domino effect. A story of deceit, lies and death. Enjoyable.

I just love this author! Everything he writes is beyond amazing. If you haven't read his books you need to start and not stop until you finish all of them. Seriously, they are so amazing. Great plot, mystery and twists that will throw you for a loop you won't believe. I usually read his books in just one sitting. Nothing else gets done in my house when a new O.J. Mullen books comes out.

This book had some interesting characters, and plenty of dramatic motive to go around: revenge, grief, greed, guilt, and more. Most of the characters were pretty awful people, but I appreciate that by the end, the worst ones are not necessarily who you started out believing. I did suspect the ending twists fairly early on, but it was an overall enjoyable read.

A very good read about three sister and what happens after an event after an office party changes their lives for ever. The story was set in Scotland and being a Glaswegian I was able to picture exactly where everything was taking place and this really hel in my enjoyment. It was a gripping story about the lives of these three sisters, eac with their own secrets and the ending was one that I had no idea was coming. I will certainly read more of this author!

The tagline grabbed me but the book failed to deliver. I thought the narrative read more like a gangland thriller, which is not a genre that I particularly enjoy. Although the ending was very clever and unexpected, I disliked most of the characters and found the plot to be quite mundane.

It took me a bit of time to get my head around the different characters. Luckily, when one is left fighting for her life, it kind of ruled her out of the character list! For the rest, I struggled to focus on their identities, even when it came to discerning between the male characters. I don’t think it helped that I didn’t like any of them, finding the cast of people to be incredibly selfish and self-centred. They all seem to be looking out for themselves rather than focussing on their support network around them.

There is a lot going on in this story and I would argue there is too much. Alongside the revenge theme, there’s a marriage needing saving, workplace affairs, deception and a business take-over. Even the minor characters are pulled into the bigger stories and I think this led to a rather cluttered narrative. I thought my head was all over the place and this wasn’t helped by the multiple perspectives that the story is told from. From reading the blurb, I was expecting this to be about the revenge act, but instead, there are a lot of other things that feed into this narrative and I consequently felt bored by how long the main plot development was happening.

Furthermore, it felt like some elements of the story almost had to be included, like the writer had a checklist of scenes that were intended to be a part of the novel. For example, the sub-plot with Sam made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and I don’t think certain elements actually added anything to the main story. In addition, some of the scenes with Damian and the business take-over were prolonged and whilst it showed a different side to the struggling Lewis, I switched off a fair amount because it was detracting from the three sisters… kind of what I was expecting this book to just be about.

Overall, this book did not deliver in the way that I was hoping to. The ending was a killer surprise that made me sit up straight. For the most of it, I found I was slumped over my kindle, looking forward to reaching the conclusion. The writer style, the lack of likeable characters and the slow story did not create the greatest of combinations so I was rather pleased to see the back of the sisters by the end.

Three Sisters by Owen Mullen was another brilliant book I was gripped from the beginning till the end especially as it had storyline with brilliant twists and turns throughout that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

The overall storyline was great. The characters each were unique and focused on an important topic. However the beginning was a little too slow for me. Midway through it finally started getting interesting and had me more engaged. The ending twists were great and unexpected. It did feel more like a drama than a thriller. I would like to read some more books from this author because I have heard great things.

I so tried to get into this story but it just didn't hold my attention. I'm sure it's a delightful novel but just not for me. it felt stilted and uninteresting. I'm sure others will enjoy it.
